Or so Cambria thinks.

This is another funny and entertaining Cambria Clyne mystery. Cambria lives an interesting life as the property manager for a couple of apartment complexes, one in Los Angeles and one in Burbank. There are some wacky and eccentric tenants that she has to work with and some good friends living there. She also has a precocious three year old girl named Lilly who likes to dress as superheroes, a detective boyfriend, Chase, and her daughter's father, Tom, an attorney. And she seems to have a knack for discovering dead bodies. She deals with her stress with lots of ice cream. At the end of the last story, she was headed to New York City to watch her best friend and dancer, Amy, enter a contest. Details about that trip are coming out slowly and there are some things that went on that Cambria doesn't want to face what happened but we do know that it involves Chase, Tom, and another resident and friend, Kevin, whose parents own both of the properties and have disowned him. Cambria is applying for the better paying property manager position in LA, next door to the place that she lives at and manages. In the meantime, a decades old corpse has been found in the attic of the Burbank complex. If it gets out, her job offer won't happen. So, of course, she has to solve the mystery of who the corpse is and who killed her. She sure has her hands full with Lilly starting preschool, wacky tenants, crazy friends, and two guys who are trying to get her attention. These stories are so fun to read with light humor, fun and eccentric characters, friends, and a child as well as Cambria's fun, likable personality. Another winner by Erin Huss for this series.

Wonderful! Thank goodness for another Cambria Clyne cozy mystery. I have come to really love this girl! Cambria is a single mom apartment manager who just can't seem to stay out of trouble. She is funny and the writing is fabulous. Cambria's "Note to self" thoughts scattered on the pages are hilarious and match the outrageous situations she finds herself in and keep me laughing at the craziness of all things Cambria.
The cast of characters in these books is crazy good and so entertaining. Cambria's young daughter Lilly provides laugh out loud comedy as she tries to make sense of her mom's job, the apartment tenants, and Cambria's friends. Cambria's best friends Amy and Kevin provide more craziness. Amy is a struggling actress and Kevin is the disinherited son of the apartment owners. There is her boyfriend Chase with the LAPD and her baby daddy Tom (who wants to get back together) providing Cambria with love life distractions that everyone has an opinion on.
Oh, and all the while she has to deal with more run-ins with the police, dead bodies, crazy tenants, Chase's partner, and goats! If you like cozy mysteries, great characters, and laugh out loud entertainment, then don't miss this one. In fact, start early with book one, French Vanilla & Felonies!

(I was provided an ARC of this book by the publisher for my honest review. )

Mint Chip & Murder earns 5/5 Hot Yoga Goats...Totally Entertaining!

No “Mistake” About It! Erin Huss has again penned an entertaining murder mystery. Cambria Clyne is not telling anyone about her interview for the managerial position for an upscale apartment complex...it’s next door! It may be an awkward decision, but it’s hard to ignore a salary increase, benefits package, monthly bonuses, and living quarters for her and her pre-schooler. Cambria is very aware of the “incident” that caused a vacancy in the manager position; the last manager was murdered. Buzzz! Buzzz! The frantic text message from a resident of her Burbank property interrupts her interview. The cable guy damaged a wall, discovering a old industrial drum. She demands he leave it alone, but his eagerness makes it too late. Prying open the lid he discovers...a long dead body! “Why-oh-why-oh-whhhyyy does this keep happening?”

Erin Huss follows the traditional cozy formal that has made me a fan. The mystery occurs early in the drama to which she adds her engaging writing style with an engaging humor, quirky and endearing characters, realistic predicaments (Ok, I know not very one finds a dead body.), and a surprising “Oh, Wow!” ending! The mystery is an entertaining page-turner putting Cambria in another unavoidable situation trying to uncover the identity of the body, quickly and quietly, to keep friends out of jail and not ruin her chances for the new job. I like a little romance with my cozy, so Chase that fits the bill along with partnering with Cambria to gather clues. A bit of a triangle emerges with Cambria’s ex and baby daddy showing some interest to rekindle a connection. I really enjoy the little snippets introducing each chapter, and the “Note to Self” reminders add clever, unique insight in Cambria’s perspective. I loved it!

Disclosure: I received an ARC from Gemma Halliday Publishing. My review is voluntary with honest insights and comments.

Another fabulous book in this series featuring Cambria, Lilly, Chase, Tom, Amy and Kevin. The author couldn’t have created a better cast of characters. I laughed, I cried and moved on to more laughter. You really have to love Cambria and Tom’s three-year-old daughter, Lilly. She is smart and funny and tells everyone’s secrets. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to trad the next installment!

Welcome back Cambria! I've been wondering what exactly happened on that New York trip! I must say I wanted to be like Amy and demand answers, but I love the way everything got sorted out by the end of this book!

This fourth book, the best so far, had it all! Murder, tension, romance, tension, violence, tension, pre-school, tension, career news, tension, and the New York/Vegas trip report plus more! What fun. Whatever you do, don't miss this great addition to the series!

Another fun Cambria story. In this one she is interviewing for a job at a more upscale apartment complex, and they are quite clear with the fact that the person they hire can't have any negative publicity surrounding them. Unfortunately, a long-deceased body is found in the attic in one of the complexes she manages. Cambria does her best to help solve the mystery of who the person is, and how they even got there, before the news spreads and she loses her chance at the new job.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters are such fun to read (Fox and all the goats!) and her friendship develops with Kevin, as everything he knows about his life changes. I look forward to reading the next one.

I had no problem jumping into this series with book 4. I haven't read the previous books and first felt a bit left out about what happened in New York but on the other hand it create suspense and as it is all explained in the end I'm not sure if it's even in the previous book.
Cambria Clyne is a funny character you simple have to love. I had lots of laugh out loud moments following Cambria determined solving a 20 year old murder.... All the while sorting her job out, seeing her little girl starting pre school and aiming for the importing things in life like vision insurance... Oh, and deciding which men and ring to keep. Not a dull moment in her life and the book about it!

Love is series...

...especially relationships between Cambria and Chase and Amy and Kevin. Somehow Cambria always ends up in the middle of a police investigation - but I love the twists and turns with each case and a lot of laughs along the way.
My only issue is Tom. While he is Lillys father, I think his sudden interest in Cambria is because if Chase - if he loves her, why did it take over three years to propose? I truly hope that Chase will remain in the picture - I’ll be sorely disappointed if he’s written out and will have to rethink this series. Please keep Chase😊.

Brilliant

Oh My God! What a wonderful, marvelous, hilarious, cozy mystery! I am head over heels in love with Author Erin Huss. This is a book and perhaps a series, no one should ever miss. It was so funny at many places that I kept on laughing. My husband thought I had lost my marbles. It's a fantastic, refreshing, thrilling cozy mystery that keeps you not only guessing but you might not want the book to end.

Cambria Clyne is a property manager working for Patrick of Elder Property Management. She has a three-year-old, cute little daughter, Lilly. She spots one of the residents, Fox, from Apartment 19B, doing yoga wearing excessive clothes in the courtyard. She decides to tell him off when a goat nips her back leg. There's a funny confrontation with Fox after the goat chews the money from her purse that she left lying around. I had a hearty laugh over this situation.

Cambria rushes off to attend an interview at Cedar Creek Apartments with Dr. And Mr. Dashwood. Unfortunately, while the interview is still in progress, she is frequently interrupted by phone calls and messages. Cambria has a dubious record of finding dead bodies wherever she worked as an onsite property manager. She receives text messages from Fox about letting in a cable guy for faster internet connectivity who knocked down a wall. Fox has discovered a barrel which he pries open to find an old corpse of a lady.

Cambria excuses herself from the rest of her interview, promising to mail her resume, and rushes back to the Burbank building. Mr. Nguyen, the maintenance supervisor, has called the police. Cambria's boyfriend, Chase, is one of the detectives who arrives at the crime scene with his partner, Hampton. Cambria's reputation is at stake and so is her new employment. She has to solve this case so that her prospective new employers have no problem hiring her.
There are so many hilarious moments and very interesting characters adding spice to the story. It's a hundred percent entertainer. I highly recommend this book because I can't stop raving about it. It's too good to be missed. Well done, dear Erin!

free ebook, i LOVE this series!
i missed the book before this one when she went to ny with her friend who was a contestant in a dance contest (she came in 3rd which was horrible to her)

a tenant called the cable co as his internet was too slow and they found a barrel with a body dead for 30 yrs in it
but cambria had interviewed for the manager job in the nice apts next door and didnt want any publicity so she is trying to figure out who did it

she helped figure out who is in the barrel

both the father of her 4 yr old daughter, the lawyer, and her boyfriend the cop, asked her to marry them. but she married kevin while she was drunk in vegas (hes gay) but she doesnt think they signed any papers

kevin got the apts away from his cousin and now she can keep her job. she didnt get the job in the apts next door, she forgot to send her resume. but its better she stays there and is going to run her own management co . i think she is going to marry the cop who is in training to be fbi agent, but i dont think she wants to move, not sure what will happen in the next book and i hope i get to read the one before this, i missed what happened in ny and vegas

really good series!!!!

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I had not heard of this series before so it is brand new to me. It captured my attention from the very beginning. Cambria manages rental properties in Los Angeles. As you can imagine, there are many tenants with quite the personalities. While in the attic, one of them finds a dead body in a barrel, but it has been there for decades. Cambria can't help but sleuth. Her detective boyfriend is also on the case. She manages to find clues in between watching her 3 year old daughter, Lilly, and hanging with her friends and baby daddy. Yes, her life is very hectic and she rarely gets to sleep, but she is determined to not let any of her friends or her boss, be accused of a crime they didn't commit. As the clues come together, you will not believe the ending. It is such a shocker. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading other books in the series.

4.5⭐

This is the last book in this series 🥺
I can definitely say, I'll miss Cambria. I think there still could have come more 😎 But it is as it is and sometimes it's better to end something on a high note.

Again there was so much happening. And again it was impossible to get a conclusion on who the murderer was. So many people. Everyone could have had a motive. But also not 🙈

I laughed so much while reading this series. There are just so many crazy people. And Cambria... Oh yes... She attracts misfortune 🙈 I mean how many ☠️ people can someone find? But that's the good in cozy mystery books, the hobby sleuth can find countless ones 🤣 and that's why I love this genre 🩷
There was also so much friendship in this series.

I think it's a must-read for everyone who loves this genre 👍

Will you want to go back and read the others before this because this read is so fab? This book gives you that! Murder, humor, thrills and suspense, a touch of romance, and did I mention humor? This gal is a trouble magnet! Don't wait, one click this now! You won't be sorry! I received an ARC of this book and this review is my honest evaluation and mine alone.

Cambria Clyne is ready for the next step in her career. She is thrilled when the owners of a neighboring upscale apartment complex invite her to interview for their manager position. She’s hoping that they are unaware of her talent for finding dead bodies. Unfortunately, she is notified during the interview that she is needed at work – it seems that a dead body has been found in her complex. This story is fascinating as it not only is a good mystery, but it also reveals decades old secrets for some of the characters!

Teeheehee

Love, love, love these books and Cambria's big, kooky family she has built. Feel like I should put a comment about binging so fast on the story I fear a brain freeze or something, but it's 1:20 a and am already half conked out, so a bit incoherent. Regardless, it is fun, amusing, a hoot, and other such words from Kevin's thesaurus. Only those with no personalty will not like this story.

Fast moving action packed

If you like Stephanie Plumb you will love this. Creative story lines with Cambria Clyne leading the way. I am so sad to have wait for book 5. The way all the characters entertained is genius. The books entertained me on my daily work commutes. Had to be careful not to miss my stops as I was all in. I wish I could live at her apartment community. Would be a dream adventure.

This is the 4th in the series. The main characters are Cambria and Kevin. Cambria works at managing 2 apartment complexes and Kevin is the good for nothing son of the owners. There is a body found in a barrel at one of the buildings. Been there maybe 20 years, Cambria starts to figure out who did and why. There are a lot of problems along the way. Including 2 men who both want to marry her. Can she figure this all out before it gets too late ?

The first three books in this series were definitely above average and I certainly expected this one to be about this same. Instead, Erin kicked it up a notch or two both in the story telling and in the character growth and development.

This was a fun run with plenty of twists and turns. The ending that I thought was being projected from the beginning turned out to take an interesting turn and land someplace completely different. Very well done.

A good mystery

I liked her friends up until the barf part. Yuck. The story was very entertaining, but why does the beautiful single lady always have to be a klutz? Just one time it would be nice to read a whole story about a graceful 30 year old single lady who doesn't stumble or trip.

Another Body?

Cambria Clyne is a property manager and mom,, with the unfortunate knack of coming across bodies at work. Working with her ex, a lawyer, and her current boyfriend, a cop, they manage to figure it out. Mystery and humor work well in this one.

This is a mystery within a mystery. A long dead body is found stuffed in a barrel, left in the attic of an apartment complex. Tenants have changed over the years, complicating the identity of the corpse and the murder investigation.
