As danger intensifies and mysteries deepen in Greendale, Sabrina finds it increasingly difficult to keep her own secrets. And while the whole town is on edge from the most recent “monster” attack, Sabrina has tracked the source of the disturbances back to her high school. It may be up to Sabrina to save her new town by solving this one her own…but when the secrets she uncovers hit too close to home she’ll have to make some very tough choices.
KELLY THOMPSON has a degree in Sequential Art from The Savannah College of Art & Design. Her love of comics and superheroes have compelled her since she first discovered them as a teenager. Currently living in Portland, Oregon with her boyfriend and the two brilliant cats that run their lives, you can find Kelly all over the Internet where she is generally well liked, except where she's detested.
Kelly has published two novels - THE GIRL WHO WOULD BE KING (2012) and STORYKILLER (2014) and the graphic novel HEART IN A BOX from Dark Horse Comics (2015). She's currently writing ROGUE & GAMBIT, HAWKEYE, and PHASMA for Marvel Comics and GHOSTBUSTERS for IDW. Other major credits include: A-Force, Captain Marvel & The Carol Corps, Jem and The Holograms, Misfits, Power Rangers Pink, and the creator-owned mini-series Mega Princess.
Kelly's ambitions are eclipsed only by her desire to exist entirely in pajamas. Fortunately pajamas and writers go hand in hand (most of the time). Please buy all her stuff so that she can buy (and wear) more pajamas.
God, I'm loving the series. Since the Archie title series is going to shit, maybe this can repair the hole in my heart. The art is beautiful, the writing is tight and magical, and the coloring... God, the coloring! I'm not worthy!
1. The art in this issue, but particularly the first three pages when Sabrina is being dragged through the forest by the monster. The art is perfect, and the colors are beautifully vivid. I love how this world looks.
2. Sabrina grudgingly acknowledging that gym class might be useful but also just hating it. "Jus when you think it's okay to hate P.E. with the heat of a thousand suns, it turns out it's useful when you have to run from monsters... No, I was wrong, I still hate P.E. It's dumb. So is running."
3. Ren just generally being a dream boat: offering Sabrina a ride home on his motorcycle, giving Sabrina his jacket so she won't get cold, and asking her to not say anything about him and Radka living in a trailer park because she's insecure about it. Harvey, you have very stiff competition.
4. "I'm getting whiplash from moving so quickly from horror to mean girls to hot teenage fantasy. My life needs to pick a genre already."
5.
6. Salem basically acting like Sabrina's parent when she comes home dreamy eyed with leaves in her hair, asking what she's been up to and not believing her when she says nothing. Also, just the look of "I don't believe you" Salem throws at Sabrina? Perfection.
7. Salem's reaction to Sabrina picking him up.
8. Salem rejecting Sabrina treating him like a pet because he's a familiar, damn it! "A-hem. Do you mind!?!" "What? What'd I do?" "I'm not your emotional support animal, Sabrina. You can't pet me just because you feel bad."
9. Salem relenting because Sabrina is sad but saying he's not going to enjoy and then immediately purring in pleasure.
10. Sabrina and Salem just sitting and sadly watching as the aunts go out into the woods.
I don't think I'll ever stop saying how amazing this artwork by Veronica and Andy Fish is!! So vibrant and just 🤩!! Again, Kelly Thompson works this storyline wonderfully, as we have a love triangle between Ren, Harvey and Sabrina. Finally we see that what's going on with Sabrina's classmates is not magic related as confirmed by the aunties, but also the aunties are taking action now!

This one was fairly good. I’m starting to like Ren and Sabrina together. There perfect for each other. I’m excited to see what’s going to happen with these two in the next volume.
