Najika finds out that she likes Daichi after she finds out that Seiya isn't her flan prince and will do anything to help out her friends and cook to makes others happy. Will she be able to make Daichi smile again and more? Read on and find out for yourself.

This is still pretty good. I am one volume away from finishing this series and definitely reccomend this to other manga lovers.

Kitchen Princess is about a girl named Najika who has an extremely positive an upbeat personality. She has been admitted at Seika Academy’s Special Class because she has a talent in cooking. Through various adventures and mishaps she struggles to find her way along with the help of Daichi and Sora Kitazawa.

I read this series on a whim; I was really into cooking at one point. It is cute and fun, just pure enjoyable reading. I was delighted to find out that there are even recipes for what she makes in the back! I am totally going to try them.

Najika reminded me a lot of the Fruits Basket character Tohru Honda, having a love of life and everyone/everything around her even though tragedy has clouded her past. Najika is selfless and always that first one to offer a helping hand.

I also like how this manga has a direction of where it is going and a direction for the characters to take. They know what path they want to go and what goals they are searching for. It is one of those manga stories that seems to be really inspirational to me and inspires me to go and try to find out what I want to do with my life.

I think I may love Kitchen Princess a little more with every passing volume. It's really all about the characters. I love that nobody seems to be totally irredeemable, even Daichi and Sora's father. I do get why he hated Najika so much, and the rest of his actions become a lot clearer in this volume. And he does seem to relent, at least a little, when he sees how much Najika cares for Daichi. I love the turn that their romance is taking (even with that cliffhanger). The best scene for me was Najika visiting Sora's grave and telling him that she likes Daichi now, but she'll still never forget him.

(stejná recenze u všech dílů první série {to znamená, že nepočítám K. P. Omnibus})

Kresba vypadala moc hezky. Především musím ocenit vzhled a originalitu kulinářských výtvorů.

Dost mě i překvapil věk Najiky vzhledem k tomu, co všechno prožila, a k jejím milostným problémům.

A ta dá!

Kitchen Princess was the first manga I had read back in high school. It was this manga that sparked my interest in baking. I wanted to be like the protagonist (Najika), sharing love with others through baking.

The protagonist, Najika, reminded me much of myself. Despite all the bad experiences I have gone through in my life, I don't want to hate those who have done me wrong before. No matter how much I wanted to give up, time and time again, there were always good people along the way that helped me to get back up.

I can still remember the first thing I tried to bake was a mug cake with oreo frosting on top. I gave it as a gift to my Scouting family, as they were really some of the important people in my life. They have helped in a lot of ways, encouraging me when I am in doubt or being looked down on by others, treating me like a friend/family, and more. And that is why I wanted to be like Najika...sharing love with others through baking. Seeing their smile just warms my heart very much!

A simple act of caring creates an endless ripple.

Le ricette a fine volume le ho AMATE, ottima idea, 10 out of 10.

Daichi likes Najika, Arcane likes Daichi, Seiya likes Najika, and Najika is still searching for her true 'flan prince.' Will readers ever find out who the prince is and will our favorite characters have their happily ever after? The characters, stories and recipes have been so much fun. I am going to be sad when I finish this series!

There's another contest in the making and again the director is thinking of how he can use Najika for his own purposes. He's also trying to keep Daichi away from Najika. Najika thinks that Seiya is her flan prince. Akane tells Najika about the deal Daichi made with the director.

She realizes that she likes Daichi the best of the two boys. He and Najika go to visit Sora's grave. She later tells Seiya that she's interested in someone else. She also finds out that Seiya is not her flan prince after all. Akane tells Najika that she has heard that the mother of Daichi and Sora had committed suicide years ago.

Daichi faints in the director's office and a flashback reveals what really happened to his mother. He considers himself responsible for her death.

Seiya tells Najika that they have both been chosen to represent Japan in the World Junior Pastry Chef contest. Daichi had blamed his father for remarrying and Sora for going along with the remarriage. She finally gets a chance to see Daichi and she tells him she loves him.

A chef from France visits the diner and explains what happened to Fujita, the nominal head chef, in the past. Fujita regains his desire for cooking and chooses to stay at the diner.

The rating and review are conclusion for all of the volumes. Except for the synopsis.

Oh gosh, the ending is so cute! I mean I didn't expect that kind of ending because of all those bad things that keep on happen.

Nevertheless, it's good. It's not just funny all the time. There are times when you can feel the sadness and feel like you want to cry. To be honest, I really didn't see it coming. The tragedy. But the flow of the story is good.

And oh my gosh, all the food inside this story. Lucky me it's just black and white. If it's in colour, I'd be dying for it for sure!

Lovely thing is they give you the recipe too! You could try it at home though! :)

Synopsis for volume 9:
Seiya confessed to Najika. What would Daichi do?

Ah, young love! So sweet and innocent! In Kitchen Princess, Volume 9: A Prince Revealed, Najika realizes who her heart belongs to and their adorable flirting is so stinking cute!

Just when I started feeling warm and fuzzy from all the romance, a dark secret about Daichi's past is uncovered. This poor family has gone through too much tragedy.

The title is a bit misleading because the Flan Prince is yet to be revealed. Najika finds out who it is NOT, but the identity of her Prince is still unknown.

There is only one book left and I'm already getting sad knowing I will miss Najika so much. I can't wait to read the final volume though!

So many plot twists! I loved the part where Akane was like, "I'm over it." I also liked how Najika rejected Seiya and started liking Daichi. I definitely loved how Daichi remembered what really happened. I was heartbroken when I saw little Sora beg his dad not to tell Daichi. It was so heartbreaking! The last page was my fav. This is definitely my fav Kitchen Princess so far.
