The author knows his stuff. He's the head of a company he founded called Exposure Ninja, an official Google partner. This book is so dense with expert advice on how to get your website to the coveted first page of a Google search, I could hardly finish it. Brain overload. Presently, I only have an Etsy website, but when I focus on my own, this will be my go-to resource. I'm considering five stars, but that will come if and when I get actual results. Highly recommended!!

I was an SEO exec and Google Adwords Professional in my time agency-side between 2007 and 2011. Since then, as a Social Media & Content Manager, I would always instill an SEO methodology into any work undertaken. I'm soon to be taking on a new role agency-side in Content Marketing. I chose to read this book as I wanted to gain a perspective into how an expert SEO agency shows specifically SMBs how to utilise the practice. I'm a little rusty when dealing with outside clients, so could do with a refresh by considering the language and approaches used here.
I include this intro as a prelude to my review as it's useful for you to appreciate my level of understanding to the subject matter.
If you are a website owner, this is an excellent resource for learning the basics of how to rank your site for search engines. Included are all the tips, easily digestible and simple to action. Everything is laid out perfectly with tasks broken down by chapter (ordered chronologically) to how and when you should undertake each aspect.
The three main areas covered are on-site technical SEO such as keyword analysis and site structure, content and off-site PR and marketing (outreach).
The author also shares the ultimate payoffs that can be achieved by use of graphs - screenshot to show rank improvements and increase in web traffic, plus interesting case studies.
While you could read thousands of articles from various experts on the web to learn more about SEO, its great to just pick up/download this one book instead and get all the info you need in one place.
The book is liberally sprinkled with invites to use the agencies services which is not relevant to me, however given the cost of this book was only £1.99, I'm not going to quibble about this. To be honest, if I were looking to employ the services of an SEO agency, the Exposure Ninja agency would be at the very top of my list of experts to work with given the advice imparted in the book.
A recommended (4 hour approx) read - in plain English, for any business wanting to understand and implement SEO.

This is the book Google should have published

I bought this book after reading reviews and thought even if it’s a 4 stars it would be money well spent. I’ve read it twice in the last 2 weeks and I can see myself will return to it many times more as it is such a great reference for SEO. Whatever stage you’re at with your website this is the book you should buy to to get the most out of search results. The authors have unlock the complexity of SEO and made it accessible to even beginners. This is not a purchase you’ll regret and is one I’ll be recommending to clients who want a better understanding of this area.

This book is a really valuable read! It’s the second SEO book I’ve read recently. I thought the first was good but this one was better! It’s so easy to understand - I’m new to SEO, but everything is so well explained!

A great read and a good start to SEO.

A few notes:

* The Version I read was for 2023.

* The author did not seem to have an editor proof read this book for spelling errors or formatting issues. This is a slight annoyance. Otherwise deserving of a five-star review had these errors been omitted.

* The information is helpful, readily applicable and easy to get started with. This is a major plus.

* The writing style is enjoyable, informative and occasionally humorous.

* There is a bit too-much self-promotion for Exposure Ninja in the book. Cameron must have mentioned his free website review at least 20+ times throughout the chapters. However I understand, you run a marketing agency, you do what you got to do.

Overall, great read. Entirely worth the money. Hopefully the spelling and formatting errors are fixed in the next version. Certainly worth having on your shelf.
