Dominic Navarre only wants to survive yet another tedious meeting with the principal of the high school where he coaches. He’s not interested in finding a mate (to the irritation of his Alpha) and he’s definitely not prepared to come across an unprotected Pack female roaming the hallway of his school.

Her presence brings danger as her ignorance threatens all of them, but his overwhelming need to protect her might cost him everything as her arrival ignites a decades old war between packs.

A companion novel to The Pack. This is Dom’s version of the story. It is NOT a new story but has details/scenes not in Jess's version. Also includes the first chapter of Caleb’s story coming this fall.

Nothing really new here… we’re basically just experiencing the same things from the first book from Dom’s POV. The biggest being more of Caleb’s dad showing him be an ass and his plans for Jess.

This is a rehash of the first book in the 'The Pack' series, and yet it isn't just a rehash.
I really enjoyed the audiobook (reader is Paul Brion from the other 3 books).

SO it's all the same sequence of events, but there was more going on from Dom's POV than I would have guessed... including hints about a mysterious pack to the north (Canada?).

Its existence is pointless

This wasn’t by any means a bad read, just a pointless one. This could’ve been fit into the pack series as a whole making separate chapters giving dom’s point of view. The fact it made its own separate book with very little new insight or information just feels like a grab for money for those who liked the series and characters enough to buy it and didn’t have kindle unlimited. For those people I’m calling out the author- you should be ashamed coming out with a companion book where there was only 5% new info/insight and having readers who enjoyed your series, pay for extra only to feel like you re-read the first book (a book that wasn’t even the best in the series). I hate feeling like authors are really in it for money.

This is book one from Dom's POV. It is best read in tandum with book one. If read to after or in the order Goodreads has it, the story sounds a bit disjointed and more like a collections of moments. It does not have the right flow for a true story.

While it is interesting to have Dom's POV it would have been better if this was part of book one and then the reading of the one combined story would have been a richer fuller experance

I love book one of this series. I expected much of this book to be repetitive, and it was. But what tanked the rating for me was the fact that it didn’t feel like it’s own book. It felt more disjointed than I think it could have been.

Dom is the fourth book in the Pack series and it was fantastic! It's the entire first book told from Dom's perspective. It was one thing to hear a little about the personality changes from Jess's perspective it's a whole other thing to witness them from Dom's. Jess really was the catalyst for change not only with Dom, Anna, and Caleb but with the entire pack. They may have called Jess trouble but she made the pack better.


I learned so much from Dom's POV, things that I never knew about the pack, key information, and other events. It was like reading a brand-new story that also felt familiar. This story just endeared me to Dominic Navarre even more, his love and devotion to Jess was always admirable but seeing this side of things it was completely breathtaking. I love this series entirely too much. Lone Wolf is up next, it seems like Caleb's story and while I want to know more I also am a little conflicted about reading from another's POV, I loved Jess and Dom so much. Who am I kidding, I really want to dive back into this world.

My heart will go on.😩. I completely read these in the wrong order well I read the first in the series along with the 4th one At the same time. I really loved having both male and female perspectives book 1 is the female perspective and book 4 is the male perspective hence why I chose to read them close together. It gave me a different perspective which is one thing I love in a series is know what more than person is thinking and feeling. Now to continue the series I will read book 2. This book was wonderful, clean ,and had a great paranormal love story. Great minor and major characters. It could however cause trigger someone if they can’t handle abuse in a story. I’m not saying there a lot in it but some people tend to be sensitive to these things.

A shifty read!

His overwhelming need to protect her might cost him everything as her arrival ignites a decades old war between packs...

We get his perspective from book 1 - which I really enjoyed although this book could have included more about the pack and the inner workings.

It could have given a more in-depth information about the Pack (which was a bit disappointing although I still loved it).

And now onto the final book in the series!

Full of packs, shifters, mates, breeding females, secrets, family, danger and romance.

Perfect for readers of paranormal romances.

This is book 4 in the pack series but is actually book 1 but from the MMC pov!! it was interesting hearing the story from Dom’s POV! If only there was more smut!!

Calla Reviews (كالا)I really enjoyed this series. Im now on the final book of it and am not so happy to part with the characters. I am always wart of romance novels because I don't want a bunch of explicit scene's. I think this series did very well in its approach. But back to this specific book. I liked this one most of all and even after you read the first one this is worth the read. All of those weird encounters jess and Dom had starts to make sense and you see much more of his personality as well as others like Anna.

Side note. Im not sure why every cover has a naked man on it but I guess.

good if you already read the series

If you’ve already read the series or atleast the first book “The Pack”, then you’d enjoy this retelling from Doms POV. We learn a few things that Jess wasn’t privy to. I thought I’d like this one just as much but unfortunately it does kind of take the mystery and drama when you already know what’s going to happen. I do wish this series was a little spicier. You don’t need to read this to enjoy the series this book is more for the fans.

So much more detail added to this story
This is told from Dom’s point of view of what happened in the first book The Pack.
I wasn’t sure going in whether I would like this but I really enjoyed hearing it from the wolf pack’s point of view.
So much more detail was added into what we knew in book 1.
Dom had to put up with more than we first knew along with pressure from his Alpha too.
A really great addition to the story that I thoroughly enjoyed along with the narration by Paul Brion.

This book is The Pack as told from Dom’s POV.

At times the book felt like a “copy and paste” from The Pack. Could have used more from Dom. I was hoping more of the mindset and inner workings of the pack were included.

The reference to the pack in the north seems superfluous unless it’s a set up for Caleb’s story.

Nothing new. Reselling of book 1. I assumed there would be more of Dom’s perspective and story but it ended up being the exact same story. All of Dom’s parts were already spoken to in the first book. There may be like 2-3 new small pieces of content, which I didn’t find important to the overall story.

What a book

Totally loved seeing this story through Dom's pov, instead of jess's. You get to see the bond grow between them and his struggle not to claim her and feel what he's going though.
Totally can't wait for Calebs book next the sneak peek was ace.

Audiobook. I realize this was fill in blanks for on Don point of view, but I wish they would have ended a little more conclusive. Even if the author had to overlap what Dom had already had done and said in the other books.

Great perspective on the original!

It was awesome reading this story again from Doms perspective. Seeing what happened during the times Jess wasn't around. Must read especially if you've read the first book. Loved it.

Absolutely loved Dom's POV. It added just enough extra information that I didn't mind reading the same story. You find out that Caleb's dad is a a*****e. This time I don't feel as bad when he dies. I loved finding out all the things that went on with the pack when we weren't there in Jess's POV.

Pointless

We gained almost nothing from Dom's POV. Not worth the time spent reading it. Also, he refers to an entirely different backstory for Anna's first shift than the one we read about in previous books.

dom by Kristin coley. I didn't think I would enjoy this as I don't like recappings of books from the other MCs perspective. they usually bore me and are usually very cringey IMO but I did enjoy this and cannot wait to see what the last book in the series brings

I really do love reading the other half a point of view, can give a whole new perspective to a story!
