Jack got this book as a hand-me-down. The sheep dressing up to go trick or treating and then scaring the wolves was cute. The language seemed a little weird to me, though.

Brief Description: A group of sheep go trick or treating
An easy reader book uses rhyming to help readers predict and read words. The story is written in verse so students can find a rhythm to the story and the text. An easy reader has limited text on each page with the emphasis on the illustrations or images. The illustrations for the book are funny and match the text well, again helping the reader to access the text.
The first book, Sheep in a Jeep, is quite cute and clever, so for students who like that book, here is another story about the sheep. Some of the words will be challenging for young readers, but the topic of Halloween and rhyming verse will make it interesting for students to read.

A story of rhyme with the sheep making scary costumes to attend the festivities at the barn on the farm. Once the activities are over the sheep head home, only to be surprised by wolves hiding to ambush them, but when the wolves see the sheep's disguises the wolves flee, and the sheep arrive back home safe and sound to enjoy their treats.
Rhyming Halloween tale featuring our luckless sheep gang from Sheep in the Jeep. My children love it, especially when the wolves are scared by the sheep in their various costumes. Nice illustrations. I prefer the original, but this is a fun book to break out during spooky season.
I wasn't really a fan of this book. It just didn't stick out to me as anything that would add to my classroom. If you used this in your classroom I would suggest for K-1st grade but I wouldn't go any older than that.
This books showed the sheep going through the farm while trick or treating. It was great to see all the different illustrations and how the sheep interacted with the other animals
This was... not great. Not much there. To be honest, I feel like sheep in a jeep and sheep in a shop are the only ones that really hold up, all the rest are a bit of a stretch, like this one. My 3.5 year old agreed, she was not enthused by this one.
My under-3 daughter has the mental development to be full of Halloween anticipation this year, and we love the rhyming Sheep stories, so this is perfect.
I wonder if the board book edition is abridged. This seemed awkward and clunky compared to other Sheep books I've enjoyed, especially the wolf plot. I did like that each barn animal gave treats appropriate to what they had available... but would chickens voluntarily give eggs?
(Maybe they think of eggs much as the Aandrisk to in "The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet."
This is an entertaining rhyming Hallowe'en story about sheep trick-or-treating. They make their own costumes, dress up, and go out to visit the other animals in barns nearby. Meanwhile, wolves are waiting for the sheep - not knowing they are in disguise. Fun illustrations.
This is a fun, rhyming Halloween story featuring the adorable sheep from the series by Nancy E. Shaw and Margot Apple. The narrative is bouncy and the illustrations are cute, although some of the rhymes are a bit awkward. We loved the different costumes and enjoyed reading this story together. We've read this one a couple of times.
