Rachel and Kirsty must help the fairies find their magic petals before the goblins get their hands on them. This time Jack Frost has given wands to the goblins to help them. Jack Frost is determined to get those petals before the fairies do. Whatever it takes.
Yes yes I have a lot of these books, my sister loved collecting them, and I honestly really want to reach a a goal of 200 books this year. I love that the girls still help the fairies even while they are on vacation. Sunflowers are also such a pretty flower. I can't wait to read more books in the fairies series because it's so cute and interesting. I think I only have one book left of the 40 page books and the rest of the books I have are longer. Happy Reading!!!!!
In this book Kristy and her best friend Rachel are on spring vacation. They are visiting a village named Leafley, and at Leafley there were lots of sunflowers! They were expecting the sunflowers to be beautiful, but then they noticed that they haven’t found the magic petal for the sunflowers yet! A few days ago Rachel and Kristy figured out that without the magic petals being found by the petal fairies, all types of flowers won’t be pretty anymore! Soon the also noticed that Jack Frost and his goblins are also trying to steal the magic petals! Rachel and Kristy also made a promise to help the petal fairies find their petals before Jack Frost’s goblins do. Today Kristy and Rachel are determined to find the sunflower magic petal. As Rachel and Kristy enter Leafley they noticed that Leafley has a sunflower trail! A worker named Laura gave Kristy and Rachel an envelope that shows the sunflower trail! Soon Kristy and Rachel set off for the sunflower trail. When they opened the envelope a little fairy flew out. Her name was Charlotte, and she was the sunflower fairy! Soon as Charlotte, Rachel, and Kristy followed the trail they saw a little cottage. Then Kristy saw something one of the sunflowers were moving beside the cottage! Soon they figured out that it was a goblin’s disguise! With the goblins wearing a sunflower disguise they will not even recognize the evil goblins anymore! What will they do!? WELL, THERE IS ONLY ONE CHOICE. READ THE BOOK!!!
Daisy Meadows and her fairies are my childhood. I collected so many in my youth, knowing all the fairies and their importance, and sticking with the two special girls who go to be a part of the magic. Years ago I had to give my beautiful collection away, now still part of my childhood school where little girls are picking their favourite fairies and playing pretend. It's fun to hear stories from my old teachers telling me how over the years so many students have grabbed these books and fallen in love with the tales of two girls, Jack Frost and the fabulous glittering magic that is the fairies. On Christmas last year, my sister surprised me with a boxset of these books, but cause you cannot collect these darlings as easily anymore. I was over the moon! If anyone has a little one who needs a little magic in their life, wants to read and needs a big creation to be hooked on...it is Daisy Meadows!
In the translated version of my language this fairy has the same name with me. I recieved it as a gift and maybe I was like 15 yearls old but I was so happy that I found a book about a fairy with the same name as me with a story about my favorite flower. so cute book for all ages
This story is a bit different in that Rachael, Kirsty and Charlotte trick the goblins instead of their usual planning and carrying out. I liked that it was a bit of a switch and I think Julia appreciated it as well. I wonder if it was easy to come up with the differences in each book? I mean, for one author it would have been near impossible I think but for four? I say it still had to be hard. We're talking multiple seven book series'. Multiple series. All with the, basically, same premise. I don't know, just something I've been wondering about for the past few books. Next we're starting Olivia the Orchid Fairy and then we have the last two to go and we're finished. We'll be done out second Daisy Meadows series! Julia's hoping that there is a dinosaur series out there but I think we're going to have to settle for the Pet Fairies next. :-)

Book four in the The Petal Fairies series by the group of authors who call themselves Daisy Meadows. Their books are so formulaic, no wonder they've churned out more than a hundred of them.
But our oldest loves them and gets more and more at the library every time. She's averaging one every day or every other day, so it'll still take many months before she exhausts the selections. This story offers a bit more suspense and drama, as Rachel almost plummets to her death, frozen as a fairy.
Rachel and Kristy are still at Blossom Hall. They find Charlotte in the path of the sunflower trail. They look for goblins and they find them dressed up as sunflowers. Rachel sees that one of the petals on a sunflower is the magic sunflower petal. Rachel and Kristy get turned into fairies and fly into the garden. The goblins also find the sunflower and they get it first. Charlotte uses magic to make two bigger sparkly-er flower petals to trade the goblins for the other magic one. The two petals aren't magic.
I read this to my seven year old since we were both sick today. She loves these books and they are a good introductory chapter books. They all full of illustrations but she feels that she has accomplished a great thing as she moves through the chapters.
My favorite part was when charlotte got her petal back. The worst part was when none of the sunflowers were blooming. My favorite character was charlotte. The worst character was jack frist. Auryn 10 years old, 2014
