Orion
I’m the oldest son of MC royalty. My father founded the Primal Howlers and he expects me to wear his patch one day. The problem is, I don’t know if that’s what I want. Lately, I couldn’t give two sh*ts about anything.

Until her.

Raquel
I moved to Monument, Colorado to write my thesis and get some much-needed distance from my overbearing family. What I didn’t expect was to find is myself hung up on a biker who appears to have nothing to lose.

I, however, have everything to lose and I’m worried Orion just might be my downfall.

DNF

I got to about page 101 before I gave up. They go from lust to love in weeks. Then she’s failing classes, he’s possessive, gang rivalry, his dad has cancer and load of other things. It just too much to cram in one book. The lack of maturity and constant need to fill page after page with sex rather than a story just became blah to read.

Tried I really did

Ok so the book starts out good and then flops real quick. Basically for the 20% that I read it's just sex. I need more than that in a book.

I'm not feeling ok giving 2 stars, but I can't help myself and you can blame Raquel. She was ok at the beginning, but somewhere halfthrough the book, she started to annoy the heck out of me. Overeacting and being a drama queen. Not sure why Orion even bothered with her. Her bullsh¡t wasn't cute or worth it. And he was too understanding, supporting, patient and never gave her any sh¡t for her behavior. At the end, I was so over her, that I wished Orion would end up with someone else.
If you could erase Raquel, the story was good.

This book was absolutely hilarious. I'm not sure if that was what the author was going for, but I couldn't help but laugh at Orion and Raquel! There were some parts of this book that I thought I would die laughing! I just couldn't help myself. But seriously, this is the first book in a brand new series, and if Orion & Raquel's story is anything to go by, this series is going to be Ah-Maz-ing!

Orion is the oldest son of the president of the Primal Howlers MC. It's a huge legacy to live up to, and a massive responsibility, one that he isn't totally convinced he wants to take on. Raquel, on the other hand, is studying hard for something she believes in, but is having trouble. A night out with her girl leads to a chance meeting with the hottest guy shes ever seen, and one thing leads to another.....

Raquel and Orion were so good together! I loved the connection they had, but I also loved her spunk and how she stood up for herself. I loved how smart and strong she was, and how she was with those that she loved. I adored Orion, and how perfect he was for her. Their story was full of laughs, surprises, and support of family. This promises to be a wonderful series, and I can't wait for the next story!

A New MC Series... Hell Yes and to boot by one of your favourite authors, of course I am going to read it without reading the BLURB, lol

"I was short and curvy, but I was in shape. I mean, round is a shape."
With sentences like this in this book, who wouldn't want to read this book. This book was hilarious, sassy heroines, alpha males! Back and forth bantering that definitely have you LOL. Heroine that definitely witty, a hellfire and she wont let anyone walk all over her.
Orion is totall bad **s and he was totally into Raquel from the moment he meets her.
But as always everything isn't so easy in a boy meets girl type of romance in a MC world, there has to be some danger lurking around, unexpected twists and turns and some steamy moments that will have you holding your breath.

My opinion, Piper you have another winning series on your hands, but what can you expect from the wide family of the Dogs of Fire and Burning Saints... And I so need the next book ASAP!!

So I love an MC read but for me this one just wasn't right. It's one of those books that isn't bad but it also just wasn't good either. I think for me there were bits that I loved, which I got and then there were bits that I was confused with. I found I was also really underwhelmed as there where parts where the heroine would build up to something, like a reaction and then it fizzled out. I also felt like it needed to be refined a bit more. But like I said not a bad book.
This is my honest and unbiased review.

Biker Romance. Good, immersive quick read.

For those that love a quick action light read with romance and sexual tension, it’s a great read. It was immersive, the language was easy to read and the story was sound. It wasn’t too heavy on detail but enough to keep the story flowing.

Davenport writes 1%ers as well as she right her social MCs!

Raquel was no stranger to biker life when she walked into Smiley’s bar. What she wasn’t expecting was Adam, or Orion, to claim her that night. What was just supposed to be a bit of fun turned serious pretty quickly and it started to affect Raquel’s grades. Orion has an answer for that too. But there’s another club in the area that has ideas on what should be happening in the area and start to take it out on the Primal Howlers, leaving Raquel and her roommate out in the open.

Raquel and Orion get their happy ending in this standalone book in a series.

I adored the Dogs of Fire series and have had the Primal Howlers series for a while but haven’t read it and I have no idea why. I love that the guys are just as possessive of their women, only they seem to go just a bit further than the Dogs would to protect them. I do wonder, other than numbers and now family ties, how much the Dogs would be able to assist the Howlers as the clubs have different ideals on how to operate. I can’t wait to get to know more of the club and see how they deal with their rivals!

Fantastic

Not sure why I've waited so long to read this book. I loved it!!! I can't wait to read more!!! Great character development and depth of story, and I really enjoyed the way the author tied the different MCs together.

I read book number 2 first and loved it; it's a good thing I didn't start with this one. Raquel is a juvenile drama queen who needs to grow up and her friend Sierra was even worse.

DNF. Really badly written and hated the mfc.

I think I’m just going to have to re-read some of my old favourite books. I haven’t really enjoyed any of the books that I’ve read recently. This was the worst one in a lot of of ways for me. Especially Raquel! I hated her! It’s really confusing as I couldn’t figure out how everyone knew each other. Raquel brother is the president of an Mc. Orion’s dad is the president of the Primal Howlers. The two mc’s seem to do business with each other and know each other, but no clue how, as the author doesn’t explain it. At the beginning of the book it was implied that Raquel’s parents were either dead or they weren’t close. Then later on she says her dad is paying for her college and I assume her house as she doesn’t work, and she seems scared of her dad as she’s flunking part of her course. Then she tells Orion that they’re really close but she never speaks to either of her parents, never calls them for a chat. It’s bizarre. She’s supposed to be really close to her brother but they don’t speak either. I’m confused.

On a night with her flatmate Raquel meets Orion who apparently has been watching over her as her brother asked him to. On the first night they have extremely boring s*x and Raquel tells Orion that she doesn’t want a relationship only s*x. Fair enough. So over the next week or so Raquel and Orion are; Having s*x every night and everyday, sleeping together, cuddling, eating meals together, sitting and talking about things, and basically having a relationship! Then Raquel says she doesn’t want a relationship and it was just s*x and blames Orion for flunking her exams. 🙄 Maybe if she stopped going out and getting really drunk on tequila the night before her exam she wouldn’t have failed it! Honestly she comes as a spoiled little girl who blames everyone else for everything.

Then there’s Orion who I’ve no clue what his role is in the Mc. When his dad retires he says he will take over as president as the Mc but he’s not even the vice president. He doesn’t seem to have a senior role in the club, and has a tantrum when his dad asks him to check in their businesses.

The sex scenes were awful. Really really rushed and boring. The whole book is terribly written and doesn’t make sense. It’s such a disappointment as I was hoping to read a new Mc series.

I was a little concerned when the author decided to start another MC series. She already has two amazing series dealing with gorgeous bikers, Dogs of Fire and Dogs of Fire, Savannah. I cannot express how happy I am to have egg on my face. Primal Howl was an informative, exciting, romantic story deserving of every star I gave it. Now I have a new issue---waiting for book 2.

Doc's (President Dogs of Fire Savannah Chapter) sister, Raquel lives in Monument, Colorado home of the Primal Howlers. She is supposed to be working on her thesis but that all changes when she meets Orion, heir apparent to Primal Howlers MC. Silly girl is at a biker bar and doesn't see the problem with it. Raquel is soon in an awkward situation. Orion steps in, er savior, claiming her infront of his President/father and many of his MC brothers.

Life is going to get interesting. Her brother's club is legit but Orion's club is an admitted 1%. Orion and Raquel heat up the pages with romance, sex, and biker tensions. You know there is going to be problems the you deal with a 1% club. Add in a MC that wants to take over and a girlfriend's family and it is only going to heat up more, more, more.

With every page I turned I didn't know what was going to happen. Would there be a biker war? Would someone be in danger? Would the sexual tension heat up? Would life get more complicated? Would Raquel's drama rock the charts? Even better, would her friend, Sierra, take over in the drama overload? Add in unexpected visits from her family and you have a page turner that doesn't stop entertaining until "The End".

Primal Howl by Piper Davenport is the first book in a new MC series called Primal Howler MC. The book introduces us to two new clubs but focuses primarily on the Howlers from Colorado. I have not read books by this author before, but will pick up the next one in the series.

Orion is the oldest son of the president of Primal Howler and is anticipated to be the next president. Orion feels he is being pushed and hassled by his dad. Then he meets Raquel. She has moved to Colorado to go to college and work on her thesis, but her bestie convinces her to check out the wildside and go to a biker bar (Raquel’s brother is in another MC). Of course her brother has contacted the local group to keep an eye on Raquel and her bestie. Orion and Raquel can’t seem to keep their hands to themselves and that is when things get a little interesting - like very interesting!

The book had some humor, lots of hotness, and conflicts galore. The pace was okay in the storyline, but the characters were fun. Primal Howl by Piper Davenport was a fun read.

I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC and I couldn't wait to dive in. From the first time Orion entered the scene in Savannah, chasing after Raquel, I wanted to know more. Piper doesn't disappoint! This couple is HAWT, HAWT, HAWT! I would have liked a bit more of a lead up to the piece regarding her parents, but all in all, this book was sexy, entertaining, totally worth the read! If you like badass bikers, sassy women, and steamy sex, grab your copy and get busy reading!

Not up to par

I have read most of this author's books for Dogs of Fire and thought this would be good. However I had to pull a DNF at 43% because I couldn't take it anymore. The H was basically ok but the h was so annoying I felt like I was reading a weird high school romance. The entire book at nearly halfway through was almost all sex scenes and no story as well. Very disappointed in this one.

This first book in Piper Davenport’s new series is wonderful! Orion caught my eye earlier and he definitely left his mark. He and Raquel’s story is one that really sits in your heart. Love the set up of the other characters...especially Wrath and Sierra. I am definitely looking forward to more of the PHMC!

Another amazing book from Piper Davenport

With each new MC book of Piper's I read I fall more in love with all the bikers and their women. I love how she has the perfect balance of romance, hot steamy sex, sexy alpha men and strong sassy women. I love all of Piper's books and find myself impatiently waiting for her next one!!!

It took me a couple of chapter to get into this book, once I was in I stayed there until I had read every single word that was written.
Twists, turns and surprises await you within the pages of this book. Some of the surprises are large, while others are small. Some of the surprises you may see coming while others you won't. Some may hit you square in the face, where as others may pull on your heat strings. Whichever way the surprises happen for you, take it from me, they all hold equal importance with in the story and help to make the book the awesome read it is.
Each and every emotions that the characters go through can be felt. I actually went through the emotions at the same time as the character. I might of cried a few more tears than the characters, I definitely got more frustrated. But all said and done, I would go through them all again, I enjoyed the book so much.

Orion is the reluctant heir to the Primal Howlers MC. He’s plagued with indecision about where he wants his life to go, and whether his future is indeed with the club. What he isn’t indecisive about are his feelings for Raquel (Razzle).

Orion knows as soon as he meets Raquel, that she’s something special. She knows the MC world, she’s intelligent, and she’s going places - despite her permanent sass-mouth. She unlocks something in Orion, giving him the incentive to finally take charge of his life, and his future. He’s just got to convince her they are more than friends-with-benefits.

I adore the playful ease of Orion and Raquel’s interactions, they are written with such good humour, providing some real laugh-out-loud moments. Their intimate moments are so believably genuine and so damn hot.

Orion & Raquel: triggers: sexual assault, extortion, torture. Not a bad start to the series. I really enjoyed it. Raquel is the sister of the president of the dogs of fire MC and is going to school clear across the country in. Her brother has asked an ally club on the area to watch out for her. Orion is the son of the president of the primal howlers MC and will very soon be the next president. When he sees Raquel, he makes a play, but she only wants friends with benefits because get education is most important. Agreeing, they start and extremely hot and heavy exclusively casual relationship, only Orion has plans for more. Meanwhile, his club is at odds with a rival club and they must be stopped. Good story. Can't wait to read the next one.

Another incredible book by this author. A bit slow compared to the start of book 2, it picked right up and kept my attention and me reading. I love the importance of families to these characters, both blood and within the clubs.
Orion and Raquel seemed made for each other, Raquel being also raised around an MC.
"Oh, who was I kidding? I'd let that man oil me up even if I was sober."
"I'd follow you to the depths of hell to bring you back to me, baby, don't ever doubt it."
"So, you don't feel I overstepped my bounds and ignored your edict to be the subservient little woman who doesn't speak until she's spoken to?"
"Bury it deep, baby." Thrilled to find this author Piper Davenport!

Quick Howl No1

Most books you get lots of useless background info on whose who n whose related to who but nope,
Razzle meets Orion at the local biker bar.
Orion part of the Howlers knows of Razzle because of her older, protective big brother who just happens to be the Prez of the Dogs biker club. Who put the word out to look out for her make sure she's ok.
But Orion can't keep he's eyes off her when he meets her in the flesh. And the feeling is definitely mutual.
I can see where the next books are going to go with the "war" that's coming

Felt a bit rushed but hey ho i'll wait and see how the series pans out

Howling for More

Getting used to having timelines skip in this author's series.

This skipped less than previous installments but the wrap up seemed shorted.

There wasn't as much build up of the background between the Predators and the Howlers as there were between the MCs in the other series.

It would be nice to also have more history of the Howlers. Loved the interaction between Sundance and Ori. Can't wait to hear about Wrath's story.

It's a good first installment and leads you to looking forward to the next installment. Definitely will be watching for more from this author.

Insta-love with a sassy side.

This book was definitely a journey. I wasn’t really sure what to expect when the main characters fell in love so completely crazy early in the story. However, this insta love allowed for some serious, and I mean SERIOUS, action. I don’t just mean sexy action (although there was a lot of this as well 🥵) I mean biker wars, fires, and blackmail. I do have to say Orion is an angel for putting up with Raquel’s sassy attitude. Yikes.

If you are looking for and insta love, drama filled book to read this is the one for you!

Piper Davenport definately has a hit on her hands with this MC Series. Book 1 is the story of Orion and Raquel. Orion is the heir to the Presidency but he's not sure if he wants it, so it's a bone of contention between him and his Dad "Sundance". Raquel grew up in the MC life so she knows all about it and is not afraid of it or anyone. In fact she has a mouth full of sass and is ready to use it. As you can see there is quite a bit of humor in this book but it is a MC so be ready for the down and dirty sexy scenes as well as conflicts between clubs. This book has it all. Your emotions are always on a rollercoaster. I loved reading this book.

Everything is written like it’s at fast forward, and there’s zero angst or anything. At thirty percent they’re already telling each other “I love you.”

But what really put the final nail in it, was that she’s supposed to be in college researching pharmacology and she’s terrible at chemistry. Um, you might need a new major because that’s really most of what you would need to study pharmacology. Heavily dislike lack of research in books.
