C3PO and R2D2 are back on Endor and this time they bring BB8 along for the ride. When R2D2 takes off exploring he finds a lost young Ewok who needs some help getting home. Of course it won’t be easy.
If your young students like Star Wars, they will enjoy R2D2’s adeventures.
I bought this book as we are huge Star Wars Family. However, more importantly I bought this book for the illustrations and ease of reading that it presented for two of my kids. One who is a very early emergent reader and my other child who has been diagnosed with Dyslexia.
This Graphic Novel ticked so many boxes for both of them! They both enjoyed reading it and so did! I loved the glimpses of The Return of the Jedi as well!
I think this is the first Star Wars picture book I've ever read (though I see them all the time at the library where I work). I love the Ewoks and I like R2, so the cover pulled me in. If you or your little one are a fan of them as well, you'll likely enjoy this cute little story. R2 is a lot more expressive in this than in the movies and that is kind of fun.
I’ve been in a bit of a Star Wars mood lately and wanted to dip my toes into some parts of Star Wars media I was less familiar with, next stop picture books. This one in particular has such an endearing art style. It was so much fun to look at. I found the story to be quite fun and I loved that they referenced one of my favorite lines from the original trilogy.
Despite how thick this book is for a children's book, it was actually a very fast read. I basically went through it while playing a video game. I think children will enjoy seeing R2-D2 on his own Endor adventure.
3.5 stars. Again, some great stylized art here (with time for R2D2 to shine!), but the story isn't amazing. I think young Star Wars fans would love this.
Really adorable artwork style, Ewoks are some of my favorite creatures from the Star Wars universe so I enjoyed this little children's picture book that was in the library that I work at.
I mean obviously this was for children but it was just so stinkin’ cute. Ewoks have always been my favorite Star Wars aliens and this had a cute smol, sad baby Ewok, of course I’m gonna love it and give it five stars!
R2, 3PO and BB-8 go to Endor for a visit. R2 wanders off after the murder bears return to venerating 3PO. R2 finds a young bear who’s lost, and in the process of returning the kid to its parents, the two encounter wildlife and poor weather. Of course the kid is fine, and 3PO is offhandedly complimentary of R2’s efforts afterwards.
The artwork is expressive, and the story is low stakes enjoyable for its very young readers/listeners.
