I've always had a hard time reading newspapers, they're visually cluttered and the amount of columns is unnecessary. But it's a cute gimmick for a history book series, and I appreciate the thought, even if I can't personally enjoy it very much.

These Explorers News papers and books waste so much print to pretending to get firsthand accounts instead of giving more important details. This collection of “newspaper” articles sometimes switches to straight telling of history. Most children have a very difficult time grasping “time” and history and this format would just make it more confusing.

Will use to model informative (news writing).

Set up like articles in a newspaper, this book gives children a quick overview of various explorers and what they did.

What a fun way to learn about explorers throughout history. In a newspaper/magazing format with funny advertisements. Enjoyable.

Not as good as the Roman News which is so funny to read!
