With just one more good deed to do, Princess Pulverizer's Quest of Kindness is almost complete. But when she discovers that a fierce pirate named Cap'n Bobbie has captured a beautiful mermaid, she disobeys her father's strict rule not to go beyond the sea and stays onboard The Seasick Soaker, vowing to free the gentle creature--even if it means losing her chance to become a knight. Princess Pulverizer just needs one more good deed and she can cash in with her dad for Knight School. But when she, Dribble, and Lucas try to rescue a mermaid they end up captured by pirates. Can they rescue themselves and the mermaid from these scallywags, and even if they do, will Princess Pulverizer's dad still honor the deal since they've gone outside his set boundaries?

A satisfying conclusion to the series. Princess Pulverizer has developed into a kind and chivalrous person (if still quite daring and adventurous). Lucas and Dribble also have developed quite a bit, and they've all learned a lot about themselves. The pirates are a goofy if somewhat scary bunch, making for quite an adventure with a few laughs along the way. This series is right on the edge of lower grade and middle grade in reading and interest level, and fully enjoyable for both. I'll miss spending time with this trio. Highly recommended to humor, fantasy, and adventure fans.

Notes on content: The trio are threatened with being fed to the sharks and there's a sword fight, but no one is injured at all.

Princess Pulverizer has to do her last of eight good deeds to meet her father's requirements to earn the right to go to knight school. She has that chance when her and her friend and dragon come upon a captured mermaid. Intent to set Meri free, the princess does all she can, even sacrificing herself for her friends and possibly losing the chance to go to knight school altogether. Will she be able to rescue Meri and get her self and two friends away from the mean pirates? Will her father let her go to knight school after all?

I really liked the princess, her character and integrity she had even in being honest with her father as to how she broke one of his rules. Good fantasy and action read.

Cute finish up book to Princess Pulverizer's quest. Teaches the value of listening to your parents in a cute way without preaching.

Great wrap-up for the series. It's been a while since I read book #7, so I forgot that this was the last one. It was a cool "good deed" they had to do, as well as situations for our trio to show off their character growth (or physical growth, as the case may be).
