This was a very exciting and beautiful story that once again brought true loves together. Always looking for the one to make you feel whole, but never finding them.
Everything about the story was perfect from beginning to end and made you feel all sorts of emotions from beginning to end. You will be surprised to learn some secrets and anger at some people's actions. You will be all over and excited to see how it all wraps up.
For my 1st vampire book (other than the twilight books lol), I enjoyed that the plot didn’t feel like a cheesy fantasy romance & had interchanging narration between Count & Mina to paint a better picture for the reader :)
There were minor grammatical errors & I was a little confused on the time frame since some characters would speak in a modern way but others talked like it was the 1800s?? Other than that, it was an easy read & if it became a series I would keep reading! It lowkey felt like a “realistic” version of twilight?? I liked that there was more substance to mina’s story other than falling in love with Count!
Note: As someone who doesn’t care for sex scenes in books, I’m glad there were only 2 “explicit” parts & the verbiage wasn’t vulgar💀as most of the sexual tension is just them alluding to wanting each other
Surprisingly this was a very good novella. I would love to read more about this world. Pria was a strong heroine and being Romanian I sure can't help love Vlad.
I haven't been in the mood to read a book, but this book was so worth it!! It literally had me from the first page, and I didn't want to stop reading. It was well written, and the story is well worth it. Perfect balance between love, action, and world building.
I would give it 3.5 stars. The story wasn't too bad. There were a few plot holes and grammatical errors. Other than that I liked how the ending was tied up neatly. I wish a few more questions were answered in the story. It would have been better.
Dracula’s Bride is the first book in Rebekah R. Ganiere’s Immortal Monsters Series and presents readers with a unique and truly beautiful story that tells the tale of Blue (Dracula) and Mina. I have always been an avid reader of this particular author’s novels and this book was no exception. The author quickly hooks me in with the way that this story begins. This story begins dark and with a sense of foreboding as Blue is faced with a situation that must be dealt with and quickly. The author builds my anticipation of the story and what is to come with this short beginning. As the story shifts to Mina I can’t help getting a bit of a “Cinderella” vibe from the storyline. Mina lives with her father and her sister and two brothers. The way that they treat her…my heart broke for her. The author weaves the story expertly as she gives readers bits and pieces of the past and how the family has fallen into the tough times that they are currently experiencing. Mina is such a sweet character, and I love how she rarely complains about the things that she has had to endure. Now her selfish siblings…they needed a good swift kick in the rear. The father intrigued me because I know that he has a story to tell as well, but while this isn’t his story…I’m hopeful that maybe one day we can learn exactly what happened to break him and bring him so low. I love how the author uses so many familiar names from the Dracula story itself. While I’ve not personally read the original Dracula story the show Supernatural has helped with me being familiar with a few things. LOL! The romance between Mina and Blue is a whirlwind affair. Tensions build and break between the characters, and that makes this book hard to put down. I question Mina a couple of times and wonder…”how long before she becomes a frivolous goose?” Thankfully, that never happens. I absolutely love it when she shows her backbone and stands up to her cruel siblings. Now, I’m sure you’re wondering…was there anything that I didn’t like about the book? Honestly…not really. I’ll admit that I was a bit disappointed that Mina follows Blue when he tells her not to, but I won’t complain about it as it is the building scene that brings the story to a true head. A…final confrontation if you will. I hope that is more of a teaser than a spoiler for readers. LOL! Now, for readers who prefer cleaner paranormal romance novels, this book does have some sexual content in it. But once you hit that moment in the book, you can honestly skip over it and you not worry about missing a crucial scene in the story if that is what you wish. I truly enjoyed this book, and I look forward to the next book in the series and future works by this author. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. If you have read books written by this author and enjoyed them then I encourage you to pick this book up and check it out.
Dracula's Bride is the first book in a new series Immortal Monsters by Rebekah R. Ganiere. Dracula's Bride reminds me of all the Dracula stories of course but it also reminds me of Cinderella. When I started reading Dracula's Bride I couldn’t take my eyes off the page or at least I didn’t want to but everyday chores made it hard not to.
Of course, Dracula's Bride is about vampires but also about so much more. Dracula's Bride brings together a man or should I say a vampire, Blue, and a woman, Mina who takes care of her father, two brothers, and sister. Mina is the youngest of the family and takes care of cooking and cleaning for her family. Sound familiar? They treat her like the evil stepsister in Cinderella.
Mina and her sister Lucy go into town to do the weekly shopping for the family. While crossing the street Mina is almost run over in the street. But at the last minute, the drive manages to get the horses under control. Mina is drawn to the man in one of the carriages. She later learns that this mysterious man in the carriage has moved next door to her and her family.
Mina and Blue are instantly drawn to each other from the very beginning. Mina thinks a lot about what she wants in a relationship. She wants love and passion. I believe Blue feels the same way Mina does.
Mina gets fed up with her brothers and sister and takes off to London shopping to get away from them for a while. In London, someone is going around killing people. When Blue learns that Mina took off for London he follows her there.
Mina is a good person with a big heart. She never complains about taking care of her family. But her family can be very cruel sometimes. Mina tries to give them chance after chance but there is only so much a person can take. Can Mina find a better life for herself? Can Mina and Blue find what they are looking for in each other?
The story of Dracula's Bride will grab your attention from the first page and never let go, at least it did mine and I think it will be yours. Once you pick it up you won’t want to put it down until you have read the last page and not even then. I wonder what is waiting for us in the next book in the Immortal Monsters series. I know I can’t wait to find out.
I enjoyed reading Dracula's Bride way more than I thought I would as I have not been into vampires or other paranormal creatures lately but I do sorely love reading anything Rebekah R. Ganiere has written. Rebekah is one of those authors you don’t have to read the summary of one of her books to know that you want to read it.
I highly recommend giving Dracula's Bride a chance as I know you will love it as much as I did. Grab a copy of Dracula's Bride today or any of Rebekah’s books!
Back in grad school, I was assigned to read Dracula. I loved it so much I ended up including it in my final portfolio. If you haven’t read it, Dracula probably isn’t what you’re expecting—and neither was this take on it.
Dracula’s Bride by Rebekah R. Ganiere follows the story of Mina and Blue. Mina is very much the Cinderella-esque sister of Lucy, Arthur, and Quincy. Thanks to their father’s financial mismanagement, their family has fallen on hard times after the death of their mother. Jonathan Harker shows up as a would-be suitor, but Mina sees him more like a brother despite his best attempts.
Enter Blue, who is on the run after one of his wives murders a child. He moves into the estate next door, and after nearly running her over with his carriage, he can’t stop thinking about Mina; nor she him.
This was a spicy, fluffy retelling with just the right amount of bite. Blue’s obsession with Mina is borderline monstrous 😈. But Mina, much like Stoker’s original, isn’t completely helpless. The back-and-forth between them keeps the tension delicious and the pages turning.
“You shouldn't believe everything you are told." She laughed. "Does that include what you tell me?" His mischievous smile made his eyes crinkle. "Most definitely."
And the passion between them….
"I've wanted you from the moment I first saw you in the street. Something about you has drawn me to you like a planet orbiting the sun. I can't explain it, but in all of my lifetimes, I've never wanted someone the way I want you, Andromina."
"Make me yours." He rolled on top of her and settled between her thighs. "It is I who am made yours."
"With this gift, I vow to be yours forever until the sun takes me or time devours me."
So for this summerween , if you’re wanting a little more vampiric passion in your life check out this book.
I'm going to do my best to not do spoilers, because I really want to excite you with my feelings for the book; a very different and exciting take on tales as you've never read them before. This particular story is a very dark romance that starts out with violence and danger for both characters. One has never known love or kindness while the other has only found lust, where he thought there might be love. He moves away to escape possible discovery and instead lands in the middle of family conflict when his carriage almost runs over the heroine. They both have a sudden feeling of "something," though they have not met they still feel a strange pull. Skipping over parts I don't want to divulge; they meet and their strong physical and emotional attraction to each cannot be denied. Because of family conflict she stays the night, only to frightened by strange voices she hears calling her. The danger begins here and continues when she runs away from the house. But danger not only comes from the unknown but from her self absorbed family as well. I've already given spoilers when I said I would not, so here I stop. Suffice it to say that there is so much more coming, danger, blood, evil, freedom, beauty, family betrayal of the worst kind, oh and lets not forget flying. But most of all love, filled with sensual passion and everlasting, love that defies the norm and changes both their lives forever.
Another book that I thoroughly enjoyed by this author. Once I began reading, i didn't want to stop. This book is the first in the Immortal Monsters stories and it's a story of a young woman who wants to find true love not just companionship. Yes she does as her father asks without question even though he's not always a patient man but she realizes the loss of her mother changed him and she truly loves her father. I don't want to give away any spoilers suffice it to say that Blue arrives in town and they are drawn to each other from the moment his carriage gallops into town. She lives next door and more opportunities arrive for them to spend time together. Suffice it to say it's a true love story with a man who beneath the beautiful face has had a tragic past and the girl he truly loves. Please buy this as it's a definitely engaging page turner and very enjoyable from beginning to end.
Blue is a vampire who has lived 500 years. He has been lonely and made several mistakes. He flees Romania to land in a town fifty miles from London. This is where he meets Mina. Mina is the youngest daughter who happens to be the one who takes care of her three very lazy siblings and her father. The siblings are selfish and money hungry. That fact has driven her father to leave for a job and put her in charge of what little money they have. Blue has decided that Mina is different from most people. She is kind and caring and he wants her for his bride. This story didn't seem to have too much romance in my opinion even though they become a couple. It does have a dark element to it that I wasn't expecting. I also feel sorrow and sympathy for Mina's friend Jonathon. You will have to read it to understand why. I don't want to spoil it for you.
It has been awhile since I have read any vampire stories like this one. I loved the characters that drew you into their lives and made you will them to grow together. I felt for Mina and her family life which was less than desirable, given how cold and outright frustrating they were. She proved her worth in leaving that life behind and meeting Vlad. He had a heart, in that he would only drink from the undeserving in life. One way to rid society of such people! :) I thoroughly enjoyed this book and need to read more of this authors works. Was a rather late eve into early morning, but had to read it in one sitting. I hate putting books down. Thank you for the opportunity to read and now review.
I mean it was a good novella up until it was revealed that he had
And what was with Mina turning a 360 at the end?
The ‘she’s not one of the girls’ vibe was also kind of cringe. Nothing wrong with being frivolous if you actually have the means for it. No need to shame people for how they spend their time if it’s even helping the economy in a way.
All in all. It was still good. Had a good amount of adventure and world building. It had the right elements but just didn’t fully lived up to it.
First released as part of the Once Upon a Rebel Fairytale boxset, which is where I read it, this is an excellent retelling of Dracula, with a hint of Cinderella/Beauty and the Beast thrown in for good measure! As a huge lover of Dracula, I was really looking forward to reading this story, and I wasn't disappointed as the author has kept that element of the story true to the original. The only negative I would give is that there are inconsistency between location, language, currency etc in places. However, these weren't enough to hugely reduce my enjoyment of the story, so I highly recommend reading for all vampire romance fans!
I loved Blue and Mina’s story. Mina has been living and treated as a servant to her brothers and sister for so long that she has accepted it as the norm for her life. Her brothers, Arthur and Quincey have never treated Mina like she was family. Lucy, her sister is the same.
When Blue moves in next door everyone tries to make it seem as though they care for Mina but Blue is able to see the truth. Nina’s father is going away on business and leaves Mina in charge which upsets the family.
Blue wants to protect Mina and will do whatever he has to to make sure she is safe and loved.
Mina works to keep the household of her father, 2 brothers and 1 sister together and fed as an investment of her father’s goes poorly. When Count Draugr moves in next door Mina’s sister Lucy sets her sights on him. This begins a string of strange happenings, a pack of wolves sighted and a certain attraction between Mina and the Count.
Fascinating treatise of vampire life, struggles of family and a developing relationship. Enjoyable read!
*** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book ***
Very imaginative. Seemed to be a mix of beauty and the beast and dracula. Mina takes care of her family and her siblings treat her like a servant. I am very happy that her father realizes how much she does for them even though it leads to more jealousy from here siblings. Blue is very different from classic dracula stories he is a vampire with a conscious and tries to only go after those who deserve to die. All in all it was a great story and I cannot wait for Frankenstein's Bride to come out.
This was a simplified Paranormal read. Though lovely and sweet it was an enjoyment to read.
Blue (Vlad) had to depart his home due to the recklessness of one of his partners. As a vampire, he had rules that needed to be followed, no reckless murdering and especially children. Mina, daughter to a retired Admiral and now a maid to her father and siblings has been living a void life. Her life changes upon the unexpected arrival of Blue and his household to England. Per usual, no spoiling but a lovely read.
I absolutely adored this book, I am a massive fan of this author and her writing style so I knew that I would enjoy it but I couldn’t put it down. I adored the characters and how they interacted with each other and anyone who has read my reviews knows how much I love reading about strong female characters and this book has that in spades. It was so enjoyable reading a different tale on the Dracula legend. It just spoke to me and I can’t recommend this book highly enough as well as the authors other books! Well worth the 5 star rating
A Weird Twist On the Dracula Story And I Loved It!
This book was definitely not what I was expecting. But, in a good way. It was a very good take on the Dracula/Mina/Jonathan Harker angle. Not going to give anything away but I absolutely loved the ending. But please note, this is NOT a whychoose.
There is spice but not much. I’d give it maybe 🌶️🌶️ out of 5. But, the story more than makes up for the lack of spice. I will definitely be reading more from this author. I really enjoyed the story.
A retelling of Dracula but the ending will be a surprise. If you love Dracula then this is a book for you. We get all the characters from Renfield to Lucy. But the main characters are Blue aka Dracula and Mina. The story brings us to London. We get to see a different side to the characters. I loved getting to know Mina so much more. A beautifully written young woman. She was definitely a wonderful surprise.
What a fabulous story. It is extremely well written and is full of mystery and intrigue. It has drama and suspense that draws you in. Blue and Mina have this incredible love connection that is sweet and charming. I love the twists that is part of the vampire. This story is definitely worth reading and doesn't disappoint.
This is a great re-telling of Dracula and his Bride. Mina has been serving her siblings for years, but now is her time to shine. Count Vlad almost runs Mina over and then vows to make it up to her. I truly enjoyed watching Mina grow and come into her own over this story. It was wonderful watching her realize she deserved so much more and then go after it.
Mina and Blue's story is amazing. Mina is pretty much a servant in her family home. Blue is the new neighbor who just moved in with lots of secrets he is hiding. Can they learn to trust and make their way in the world together. Definitely a great read, can't wait for the next book.

I so enjoyed this book. I really thought that Mina was very well thought out. I loved her fight and witty personality. She goes so well with the Count. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
