Okay, finally a match for Yukihira and Asahi.. But to end this chapter in this humiliating way. LOL.. I mean come on Mana!! You have to make a nationwide stripping for Yukihira in the next volume! My gosh.. I just can't take this volume... I need Yukihira's dish to make this huge difference and to slap that to Asahi's fucking face.. My gosh he gets into my nerves! Can't believe I am finally at the end...

What a disappointing offering for the penultimate serving of the series. The final villain and the ultimate big bad are even worse than the one from the previous story arc.
Half or more of this book is given over to the raving of Soma's final rival, Asahi Saiba, a young man who was once an apprentice to Soma's father. All he does is talk about the knives he has taken from defeated rivals and how he likes to cross them and rub them against each other and talk about how good it feels to rub the knives against each other and how everyone should rub their knives together because it feels so good to cross knives and wouldn't it be good to have Soma's knife to fondle and cross with the knives he has taken from Soma's father and best friend because their knives are so good but are now Saiba's to do with as he wants just like soon Soma's pathetic little knife will be and . . . and . . . and . . . ahhhhhhhhhhh . . .
I think there's symbolism here somewhere?

Yeah this book is the perfect look at how far this book has fallen.
World: Art is okay, nothing special here, the over the top stuff with cross knives is rather annoying. The world no longer makes sense, all the logic is gone. Cross knives makes no sense and there is not even a little bit of food knowledge in this final battle at all. No more spice and cooking talk, no knowledge at all.
Story: The story once again makes no sense, the idea of Erina being where she is sad. Readers deserve better. The writer clearly does not understand why people loved the books and this now feels like a fan fiction. I don’t want to talk about how stupid those dumb ass claws are and the dual wield and how dumb it is. This book is ridiculous now.
Characters: Characters are not what they are, they are shadow of themselves.

El casi final de The Blue porque el duelo entre Asahi Saiba y Soma no queda completo en este tomo.
El volumen tiene enfrentamientos pero de manera muy rápida, en algunos casos ni siquiera nos muestran sus platillos, sólo vemos ganar.
Vemos una regresión en Erina también. La construcción del personaje que habíamos visto en ella después de lo sucedido en Hokkaido es descartada y vemos otra vez a la Erina de los primeros tomos. Tratan de explicar la razón por qué está sucediendo eso pero no se me hizo suficiente.
Al mismo tiempo tenemos más drama familiar por parte de la familia Nakiri. De nuevo todo este arco se centra en la familia de Erina. Creo que había personajes también interesantes que podían añadir antagonistas o situaciones a manera de obstáculo pero nuevamente los autores escogen a la familia de Nakiri para ser los antagonistas. Después del arco del director de Totsuki que era el papá de Nakiri y que duró como 15 tomos pensé que ya no íbamos a ver más de eso, pero acá retoman otra vez el drama familiar. Si se vuelve un poco frustrante.
Regresando a lo realmente importante es Asahi contra Soma en un duelo por la mano de Erina, así es. Y todo el tomo se la pasan resaltando las habilidades sobre humanas de Asahi, en varios momentos llegué a pensar que Soma no tenía ni una sola oportunidad de derrotarlo pero es obvio que lo hará. Más vale que el platillo que presente Soma no sólo sorprenda sino que sea coherente con algo que realmente derrotaría lo que hizo Asahi.
El siguiente es el último tomo de la serie, se ve que fue un final apresurado y que después del arco de Hokkaido las encuestas bajaron mucho y tuvieron que cerrar la serie porque apenas van en el segundo año de tres de preparación escolar, no debería de terminar ahora pero de cierta manera agradezco que así sea porque desde el final del arco de Hokkaido con la aparición de los cocineros de las sombras, se les fue de la mano completamente.

Chef Sylar does a Mimasaka and steals knives and uses them because he's so uber good and everyone's favourite plot mechanic The Gifting shows up again and blah blah blah we skip most of the actual cooking to have everyone rave about how cool this douchebag is.
Remember when we got Joichiro's backstory, all about how his competitive drive lead to him being lost in a storm as a metaphor for his depression and loss of passion with the unending expectations that come with being the best? Well now we have a dude who goes IF I WERE DEPRESSED I WOULD SIMPLY NOT BE, WHAT SORT OF LOSER ISN'T THE BEST? Yeah, great villain, A++ writing, I'm so glad to be reading this series.

This one felt very rushed, but they knew the next one would be their last book so maybe that’s why. I’m really interested to see how this all ends!

You can definitely tell they're barreling toward the end of this thing if you compare the amount of detail and attention paid to earlier matches versus what's going on here. It's like the series is being fast forwarded through, but interesting concepts are still playing out.

Food Wars: Shokugeki no Sōma!, Vol. 35 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (300–308) of the on-going manga series. This tankōbon is the penultimate one of the series.
The tankōbon continues the BLUE competition. The first half of the tankōbon is dedicated towards the rounds of Erina Nakiri and Megumi Tadokoro. It is evident that the Book Master, head of the World Gourmet Organization is not only biased towards Le Cuisiner Noir, but against Erina Nakiri herself. Her first round is to battle ten Le Cuisiner Noir chefs back-to-back, which she won easily. Her next match was against Takumi Aldīni, who was allowed to have the aide of his brother, Isami Aldīni for a two-on-one battle, but declined it, which Erina Nakiri easily won.
The first match for Megumi Tadokoro is against Kōu Shiō from Le Cuisiner Noir. He is a masked subordinate of Asahi Saiba and hails from a Chinese assassin family who adapted their assassination techniques into cooking. He is regarded as the top five strongest candidates of BLUE and he wields steel claws that can shred meat as well as transfuse the food with five kinds of seasoning mix, each appealing the five tastes. Megumi Tadokoro soundly defeated him only to lose to Asahi Saiba in the next round.
The second half of the tankōbon covers the Semifinal match between Soma Yukihira and Asahi Saiba. Their match is to combine all Five Great Cuisines (French, Chinese, Turkish, Indian, and Italian) into one dish that has never been created before – a seemingly impossible task. This round shows the full powers of Asahi Saiba as he used many knives and instruments that he has won and collected from across the world. The tankōbon ends with the judges tasting Asahi Saiba’s dish and is thoroughly impressed.
This tankōbon is written by Yūto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki. It makes the stunning revelation that the Book Master, the head of the World Gourmet Organization is no other than Mana Nakiri, the mother of Erina Nakiri, who also possess the God’s Tongue and the curse that is brought to her because she became unable to enjoy food because she could taste imperfections in every dish to the point that she rarely eats anymore and gets her nutrition intravenously. It is her hope that Le Cuisiner Noir and Asahi Saiba in particular to be her savior.
All in all, Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Sōma, Vol. 35 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more.

Na pewno może on mocno wpłynąć na życie Eriny, która tym razem naprawdę dużo ryzykuje. Zanim jednak czytelnik będzie mógł zobaczyć, jak wszystko się skończy, jego uwagę przykuwają inne pojedynki. Najważniejszym z nich jest walka pomiędzy Soumą a Saibą. Obaj są gotowi wspiąć się na wyżyny swoich możliwości, aby tylko dostać się do finału i ostatecznie udowodnić, który z nich jest lepszy. Dla fana cyklu oznacza to, że trzydziesty piąty tom wypełniony jest po brzegi kulinarną widowiskowością, zaciekłymi rywalizacjami, zwrotami akcji i przyjemnym w odbiorze humorem - czyli wszystkim tym z czego słynie tytuł.
Obok tych dosyć standardowych elementów autor w naprawdę niezłej formie ukazuje tutaj również rozwój wykreowanych przez siebie bohaterów. Al fin termino este manga que se había alargado innecesariamente, fueron 35 tomos y siendo sincera, ciertos sucesos ya se me hacia algo aburridos y solo pasaba las paginas para terminarlo, siento que gradualmente fue perdiendo lo interesante del manga.
DESARROLLO DE PERSONAJES
todos menos erina, el desarrollo de la mayoría fue genial, fue orgánico, y compactaba bastante con sus personalidades y su futuro, mi problema fue ERINA hay que decir de su personaje tan trivial y tan desesperante desde el inicio, no se, siento que en sí ella no era la gran cosa y la ponían en un gran pedestal, y era la mas inestable mentalmente, que fue desde el inicio hasta el final, osea, ella se levantaba según para demostrar que es la mejor y de pronto aparece un trauma alias los padres y de repente ni cocinar puede, sentí que su desarrollo fue le peor de todos osea el único. Lo que me hizo quedarme desde el inicio ademas de la comida, fue TAKADORO, LOS HERMANOS ALDINI, SOUMA(un poco) y los demás que se fueron incluyendo.
EL FINAL
Para ser un manga que prometía un final mas esplendido la verdad me decepciono todo.
en fin, su arte es una de los que mas me impresiono, y como les digo todo menos ERINA eran los que sostenían la obra en si, habían personajes que obvio se robaban el protagonismo y era lo que mas disfrutaba.

Erina takes down competitors and Soma battles Asahi with a theme of combining five types of cuisines.
Oof. I feel like these creators decided they needed to end the series and didn't really know how to create a solid one so they decided to try to go out with a bang. Erina, who over many volumes had become a strong woman, is now willing to marry someone if they can beat her. Soma's father, who was his driving force and impossible to beat, was picked off by a newcomer to the story in just a few panels. Only Soma himself remains what he was at the beginning. It was good to see the Polaris crew show up at the Blue competition and cheer him on.
Please let the next, and last, volume be a decent ending.

A couple of the big reveals about family relationships were interesting, but the big showdown between Soma and the current main villain was not. I found the villain's "special skill" to be totally implausible, even within the world defined by this manga. It's one thing for an especially skilled chef to be able to copy someone else's skill and improve on it, as was shown earlier in the series. Absorbing that skill by handling a knife that once belonged to that other chef, though, is just breaking things too badly.
Still, because as a reader I've invested a lot of interest in the story, I really do want to find out what happens in the next volume, the final one.

Still not a fan for the cross knives skill and the revelation of Bookmaster is unexpected but not surprised. I guess my interest in this story is getting lesser as it goes by. Luckily, the next volume is the final volume else I don't know how long I can bear to see more damage added into this story.

Mille ans après la guerre, je finis enfin ce manga (1 tome et c'est fini). Je comprends enfin pourquoi les gens disaient que ça partait en cacahuète après l'arc centrale, on passe de "ah si on omet le côté over the top je pourrais faire ces plats" à un pétage de plombs généralisés à base de serial killers de la cuisine et des techniques à la n'importe nawak. Le dessin est toujours aussi beau mais la fin est en train d'être rushée comme pas permis (comment ça on loupe un Erina VS Takumi ??) tout ça au profit d'un Asahi qu'on sent inventé sur le tas.

Ok, the Nakiri family is... weird. One last member of the family gets revealed. All the fights are so rushed now, it's like the writer is aiming to finish the series within a certain time frame? The characters aren't really being developed anymore.

El dibujo sigue siendo magnífico, pero el giro que ha tomado la historia me parece forzado para poder introducir tanto a Asahi como a Mana no me ha gustado.

Definitely feels like the writers, artists, and publishers are trying everything to either milk this series dry, save it somehow, or hope to merely keep it going long enough to close the story. I'm just glad there's only one more volume (that I know of).
