I have been looking for the perfect monster girl manga for awhile now, ever since I read Monster Musume Vol. 1, which was good, but just didn't quite scratch the itch I had. Then one day while randomly searching for something to read, I stumbled across this manga.

There are a lot of elements that help to pull this manga together into being exactly what I was looking for when it came to Monster Girls. The first is the scientific approach to the monster girls themselves. Sure, the science is a bit wonky at points, but it's still interesting and explains certain things, like the arachnid monster girls. In fact, it actually ends up making them more bad ass and believable than your standard half woman-half spider.

The second thing is the fact that it keeps to the actual erotic nature of the genre of monster girls. We are treated to actual erotic scenes (though censored) that actually are sexy without being extremely lewd, like you see in other hentai manga. Rather, they come across as touching and believable rather than two people just doing it for the sake of doing it. At least these beings have a reason to be doing it, albeit, perhaps not the deepest reason...

Lastly, it's the comedy. Though there are moments of extreme action where you can barely tell what's going on, Kakeru does an amazing job keeping things light at points, sometimes cracking wonderful jokes that are a statement about the isekai genre itself, or just how awkward it is for the protagonist telling everyone he is making a harem of monster girls.

In the end, I really, really liked this manga. I will agree with other reviews that the plot was a bit thin, but that's almost to be expected when you're trying to jam a lot of psudo-science and eroticism into your manga. (like the Trents, though fascinating, it was also kind of boring) At least things kept moving forward, and Kakeru took things like how affecting the arachnies world would change things for not only them, but their rivals.

So if you enjoyed Monster Musume, but found it lacked something, this is probably the series for you. It is a unique spin on the monster girl genre, and one I am rather fond of. I can't wait until the next in the series comes out!

I actually enjoyed this book much more than I thought I would. I first picked this book up thinking that it would just be a goofy harem manga, but I got more than what I payed for! What made me enjoy this book was the world-building! The main character is a scientist who tries to understand the world in detail, and I LOVE IT! "Info Dumps" have never been a problem for me, so the field journal style of this manga is right up my alley.

Ecchi science in another world!

Before anything I liek to offer a warning on at least teh first volume of any given series giving people an idea to what it is rated. This book is most definitely rated M for Mature so no buying this for the kiddies unless you want your first birds and bees discussion to be about Harpies and Arachne. That being said although they do use censorship for all of the lower sexual organs and anus (plus food substitution for an Arachne spinneret) there are plenty of bare breast shots in the book including fondling and at least one moment when the clearly labels main character Daisuke Kurimusubi finds his face in the chest of a female Arachne. I should also point out although there is no close up hentai scenes it is clear that the self proclaimed "Creature Girl Harem King " does have scenes where he gets to study the mating processes of both Arachne and Harpy (thus the bird and bee reference above.) Also don't be surprised by swearing littered here and there in the book so if any of the above things bother you (remember most monster girls are part animal so intimacy with one is basically bestiality too) then I would suggest moving on to another series. You won't be missing anything if you miss this one.

Okay....Seeing the beginning of the 1st chapter and how Daisuke is analyzing how the wyvern can fly with its mass all excitedly was a good start then they had to go back five hours and show several people in the biology common room for a scientific department of the Daisuke Univerty in Daisuke, Kanto (that's right the main character's name.) Here we hear (I am guessing) teachers or scientists discussing how to have sex with a monster girl in real life varying reactions to actual suggestions like bestiality with a pony while a girl sat is on its neck with a long skirt hiding its face...at this point I kind of regretted getting this book. Then as if the world itself was sick of Daisuke he is suddenly shunted off to another world where monster girls really exist and he didn't have to do anything depraved to an innocent animal that cannot give consent.

Now Daisuke who is big into biology and bigger into being the Harem King of Monster girls far and wide discovers an Arachne girl and after saving her he gets a chance to carefully study her body and we get to follow him on his journey of discovery as he figures out how a normally boneless arachnid body would be able to support a mammalian upper body. Now this part although extremely ecchi is also interesting because the mangaka actually comes up with scientific reasons behind not only the Arachne but also other things like how Harpies fly and how the undead can move in a world that seems to lack magic. In this aspect the book kind of reminds me of Delicious in Dungeon 01 but instead of recipes created from monsters we get observations that actually make sense most of the time and shows the creativity of Kakeru. Maybe I'll give this series another shot but I will have to avoid reading it in public. :)

Story 1,0/5
Charaktere 1,0/5
Zeichenstil 3,0/5
Gesamt 1,4/5

Well I hope you don't get scare by creepy Monsters. I not talking about the girls but rather actually creepy shit. Fansservice is not shy but neither is on every page. Actually is very focus on a few areas.

1 Story and combat when it does occur.
2 Weapons and how to make them.
3 Biology of the girls and monsters.
4 Breaking assumptions about certain things being done a certain way.
5 He fuck the girls. Not is not imply but shown.

Also Spider girls are hot but super scary in a fight in this manga. Example and not spoilers. 21 Attacks in a second. There is gore and the manga is not shy about it. It not all the time but expect a wound to be actual wound here on this manga.

PS
How unique are the enemies? Well I rather fight The Thing.

All of the ecchi content aside, and there was a lot, this was an amusing and interesting story. Daisuke has one goal in mind and he’s extremely eager to do it, even if it means potentially risking his life. And while I absolutely wouldn’t go that far, I commend him for his determination.
However, I won’t be reading more from this series. The Harpy girl: Rupi, looked uncomfortably young and what made things worse is that she wasn’t sure of her age; Daisuke just hoped she was considered an adult. Another reason for why I won’t be continuing this manga series is, the way the dialogue was shown from when Daisuke did his scientific rambling. The lettering was clustered into a small area and made what Daisuke was saying, difficult to read.

I personally don't like this as in the story regard it is fairly very very mediocre at best! BUT the level of thought put into monsters and creature girl anatomy is fucking absurd and mad props to the author

It is seriously worth reading just for the level of science of the level of thought the author put into making things realistic and plausible within confine and context of the world

Not to sure how I feel about this one....It seems like at one moment it wants to be a super sexy book about harems, but then it wants to be super word heavy and describe ancient weapons. Pick a lane! Orgys or Details! I may pick up volume 2, but I'm not in a hurry.

The art is great. The adultier scenes are humorous and lighthearted, although they do censor some of the fun bits. I will have to say though, can't get into the story. It is the first one though, so hopefully the actual story itself better.

It’s kind of like Delicious in Dungeon, if the protagonist’s goal was to bone all the monsters instead of eating them. Not really my thing.

Good manga. Sexy, scientific, detailed, and interesting. Just not something to read with your parents in the same room….
