A quest for kindness! How can you beat that in a children’s book, or any book for that matter. This is a cute series of Princess Pulverizer and her friends are on a quest of kindness and stop to help the unicorns. This is such a sweet book
Continuing from the previous book. Princess Pulverizer and her crew want to return a unicorn to his herd. They arrive in a kingdom where the King is paranoid about being poisoned and wants to acquire a unicorn horn to magically cleanse all of his food. So the crew is trying to find the unicorns but also prevent the king's knights from finding them first.
Princess Pulverizer shows some emotional growth in this one.
Princess Pulverizer, Dribble, and Lucas are trying to reunite Fortune with the rest of the unicorns but they are proving rather elusive. It becomes much more pressing to find the rest of the unicorns when the trio learns that King Harvey is trying to catch all of the unicorns to get ahold of their horns. Can Princess Pulverizer get another good deed checked off and help the unicorns?
An interesting take on unicorns. They change colors based on the flowers they eat, and aren't intelligent like dragons and such in this world. I like the new twist. Princess Pulverizer has come a long way in her character and this story really focuses on that. Not as funny as some of the others, but still a good fantasy adventure for the upper lower grade/lower middle grade crowd.
Notes on content: No language issues or sexual content. Some intended harm is plotted, but no one is hurt.
THE BACKTRACK OF OUR PANDEMIC. What would I have done, if our library hadn't had audiobooks for these?!?!? Requested the audiobook for Book 8, because obviously. Am also making a mental note to try to contact the author to share how critical these books have been to our socially distancing sanity. GRATITUDE.
One of my favorite things about this series is watching Princess Pulverizer slowly evolve as a main character. When her pride puts the unicorns she's trying to solve in even more danger, it will take all her wits (and the power of three) for Princess Pulverizer to save the day!
This was the first book in the series that I read to my daughter (so a little out of order). However, it was still easy to jump into the adventure and it was a delightful, original read. I appreciated the unconventional knight theme with the girl hero trying to do her own thing!
Aww, Princess Pulverizer. The characters have a bit more development in this one (although Dribble takes a backseat). The story flew by! One more left? I’m curious how the series will end.
On her quest of kindness, Princess Pulverizer problem solves to protect a blessing of unicorns from a king hunting them for their horns. A fun lower-grade read.
