I really enjoyed this book! So beautiful and sweet! Plus it's set in New Zealand! So many sexy men around and their accents are gorgeous! Being an Australian myself, I hear a few Kiwi accents around and it's to die for!
Anyways, before I get too carried away, we meet Carly. A red head girl who has moved to Stewart Island where her step brothers lives, since her father passed away from cancer. Since Christmas is approaching she doesn't want to spent it only, especially since this will be the first Christmas without her father and his traditions.
For months now she has been working at her brother's bar, alongside the bartender, Kip. Being co-workers they speak and bump into each other occasionally and there is an obvious connection between the two but neither of them have spoken or done anything because of it. However that begins to change when Kip's whole family decides to spend Christmas with him instead on the island
Kip, is the youngest in the family, with five older sisters, it is his job to inherit and run the farm after his father has. And for a few years he does, however, it's not the life for him which is why he moves far away.
He is attracted to Carly but he knows that if he gets involved with a girl, especially now his parents are with him, they will try to match him with her and pressure him to marry have kids and run the farm back home. Which he does not want to do at all.
But he can't deny the thoughts he has about Carly and with so much alone time he has with her, his walls of wanting someone to marry slowly begins to break
I really enjoyed this short story, it was sweet and sexy at the same time. Carly was sweet and very determined to make things right with her brothers. Kip, can be annoying with his sisters but he is generous and very sweet towards them too. And when Kip and Carly are together, it's beautiful. Especially when Kip tries to make Christmas very special for Carly and tries to follow her father's traditions with her. It was so sweet and cute and just wonderful to read.
As you can see this is the fourth story of the series, so each can be read as a standalone, however I do think they all interrelate with one another too.
Really enjoy this book, and will most likely pick up the rest of the series too!
