I’ve started to lose track of the characters, as is common for me in graphic novels, but I still hang on to the gist. Maybe I’ll try to see if I can watch the show at the end so get a sense for how much I missed.

The Ultra Beasts are just so monstrous! I love it!

Woah, I did not expect that back story for Moon. How sad! Though, it really shows her motivation for being there and staying to help with Sun's quest.

I really love Team Skull's outfits. They're so quintessentially punk.

Sun is so irresponsible, and for that matter so is Moon. Why do you keep taking the casts off your broken limbs before they're ready, Sun? Can you not put a Z-ring on your other wrist? I guess those potions are really doing the trick, huh? I suppose they do instantly rejuvenate pokemon that are right at death's door. Why not a human as well? I'm suddenly wishing poke-medicine was real.

The Z-move was awesome, though.

Kahili and the others are so nonchalant about wanting to team up with Gladion. I mean, that guy just beat the crap out of Kiawe. Yea sure, let's go find him and try to be partners. Makes perfect sense.

Anyway, Tapu Lele gets the special healing berry, and challenges the kids to a duel. They can't make any ground until Litten evolves and pushes Tapu Lele back. That satisfies it and it lets the gang continue on their journey.

Necrozma's name gets dropped.

Cut to Lusamine looking all benevolent at the Aether Foundation. You know, now that I'm thinking, is Lusamine the first female big bad in the Pokemon series? Good for you, Girl! I mean, I still hope you fail, but, yea.
