I'm a wife and a mother to a beautiful 7 year old and active 4 year old . I love to cook, but as crazy busy as my life is, the slow cooker is my life-saver! My passion for developing recipes started at a young age when my grandma taught me and my cousins to cook. During my college years, I began to experiment on my own and as I entered the work force, my creativity really developed. My second cookbook, The Gluten-Free Slow Cooker will be released on Oct. 1, but it available for presale wherever books are sold now. My first cookbook, Slow Cooker Recipes 10 Ingredients or Less and Gluten-Free is available for sale online. In addition to writing cookbooks, I teach Elementary Music, I'm a Young Living Essential Oils Educator and a blogger. Am I crazy busy...or just crazy? Yes, but I love living my life the way I'm living it!

Some of the recipes here are very basic, but at least most of them use fresh ingredients.

There is some good content in here, but too many of the recipes assume you have or want to use pre-made/boxed/frozen ingredients (the meatballs recipe says to buy frozen meatballs, the cinnamon roll recipe says to buy pre-made unbaked cinnamon rolls) and just use the instant pot to heat these up. I understand that the author is trying to find ways to save time, but I personally prefer to cook from scratch and don't have a lot of these pre-made ingredients available where I live. The basics, such as different types of eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, or chicken noodle soup, are quite useful though, and I wasn't able to find these recipes in other instant pot cookbooks as they are considered basic. It's nice to include easy cooking staples as people might not know how to cook them in the instant pot.

I can't help but be disappointed in Hope Comerford's Fix-It and Forget-It Instant Pot Cookbook: 100 Delicious Instant Pot Recipes!, as it is less about instant pot tips and recipes and more about slow cooker support. I have used a slow cooker for more than 48 years and find myself well versed in that area, so I thought the purchase of this was not worth the money. While I appreciate the fact that instant pots serve more than one function, this text is not a balance of the many functions that one can be used for. Thus, a severe waste of money for anyone on a fixed income.

Pretty good

There were a fair number of typos and I wish the "assumptions about ingredients" would have been at the beginning of the book, rather than the end. Glad I flipped all the way through! But overall a good resource and I am already looking forward to trying some of the recipes.

Worst Rexipes

This was a total waste of money. I read some not-so-great reviews but decided to get it anyway. There was maybe 1 recipe I might try but more likely I’ll delete this off my kindle and never think about it again.
