If you like cozy mysteries, you have to grab a book by this author. Readers will love the character of Aggie Underhill. She is a feisty lady who just can;t seem to stay away from a mystery, especially when she uncovers a dead body. No spoilers, but my best advice is grab the book, sit back and enjoy.

Fun, quick-paced, short story...

Coffee, Fireworks and Murder: An Aggie Underhill 4th of July Short Story (An Aggie Underhill Mystery, Book 14) by Michelle Ann Hollstein is a fun, quick-paced, short story.

I recommend it, especially if you’re looking for something short with a bit of humor. I was not familiar with Aggie’s world prior to this, but had no problem getting dropped into the middle. The narrator, Adam Schulmerich, was perfect!

Although this is not my typical read/listen, I will definitely be checking out the other Aggie Underhill books.

Parental guidance/trigger warnings: due to this being a short story and not wanting to give it away- since it’s a murder mystery, you put the clues together of what could possibly happen in a murder mystery.

This was a fun short story. This is my first book I have read in this series but that didn't stop me from loving this story. But it did make me curious and want to read the ones before to get the back story of the characters. This is a great book for a quick mystery fix. At first I thought it was just a mystery to find out who Roger was seeing for Aggie & Betty. But then there was a murder mystery surprise. I loved it. Every small detail mattered and I was surprised at the outcome. I def recommend for murder mystery fans.

Getting the bird

A great little read. Okay the mystery was rather abridged and moved to one side but the read nevertheless tickled my funny bone.
Aggie hasn't heard from Tom since she told him how she felt and now it seemed that even Roger has managed to find a partner. Planning to grill him when they met for coffee she first had to find a parking space. Only once she was parked did she notice the honking and the finger from the SUV's occupant. A firework display, trying to creep up on Roger, heels and a dead body. Who killed the man and why?
Loved the humour in this

I love these short Aggie Underhill stories. As I listen, I am reminded of the madcap adventures of Lucy & Ethel from the old "I Love Lucy" shows. Ms. Hollstein does a great job with her descriptions of Aggie's interactions with her best friend, Betty, and Betty's cousin, Roger. This threesome always seem to be getting into trouble somehow!

If you are looking for a lighthearted way to spend a few minutes, you can't go wrong with this series of stories. The narrator, Adam Schulmerich, does a great job and adds a lot to the listener's enjoyment.

But, now I HAVE to know......who is Pat?

Aggie and her best friend Betty try to figure out who Roger is dating. All 3 of them meet up at their local coffee shop as Aggie & Betty planned to get Roger to spoil the beans but when Aggie arrives trying to find a parking spot she finally finds one gets in and there's and old lady that flips her the bird ever less when they go to the park she sees that old woman again!!! Now I don't want to ruin it for yall. This is a solo short short read for the 4th of july!!! Short - sweet and hilarious read!
I really did enjoy it might pick up another book from this author!!!

Funny, reading about these two, and what they get into, makes delightful reading. They closed down the coffee shop because of what they were really doing, and people are unhappy. With binocular they get into more trouble, even seeing fireworks, a stumble, and another body.
A kiss brings fireworks for Aggie from Tom. so he hasn’t been avoiding her. The author once again brought a comical interesting story, with two delightful woman in the center of things

What a hoot! This story centers around Aggie, Betty, and Roger and their antics... And, sure enough they stumble over a body... Literally!
So if you have a quick commute, and you want something short, you're in for a treat with this cute cosy.
The story can stand on it's own, but I think you'll enjoy it more if you acquaint yourself with the three main characters from the Aggie Underhill Mystery series.

Michelle Ann Hollstein has written a very fun short story in Coffee, Fireworks and Murder. I love how it appears that Roger has a love interest, and Betty remains on the prowl. Aggie is my favorite character and has many layers. Adam Schulmerich was wonderful bringing these friends to life as they discovered another dead body. For a short story, this book was perfect in its development and plot. Loved how the killer was revealed.

I was surprised at the length but I can't complain as it started with a bang and fireworks! It was engrossing from beginning to end and the bad guy was a surprise as while Aggie was putting 2 and 2 together, I hadn't even gotten to 1!

Adam Schulmerich did a great job with this storyline. I was impressed on how he kept everyone together yet individual, too.

I loved it! And look forward to other novels from Michelle Ann Hollstein.

This is the 14th in the series and the first time reading this author. The main character is Aggie and her friend Betty. They are meeting for coffee at a shop and while parking Aggie got a spot before a blue-haired old bag did and she let her know how unhappy that made her. Later that night they end up tripping over a dead man and also saw the blue-haired old lady as well. Thanks to Aggie they caught her at the park with the gun. Just a quick short story. Loved it.

Coffee, Fireworks and Murder: An Aggie Underhill 4th of July Short Story was another great read by Michelle Ann Hollstein. Aggie and Betty are both curious about the stranger named Pat. Pat has Roger doing things that are completely out of his norm. He is going to a park to watch fireworks and going to expensive restaurants. They start to snoop but end up finding a dead body. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by Michelle Ann Hollstein.

Fireworks and Mystery

I picked this short story to read because it's nearly July 4th, and thought it would be fun. This was definitely that, and more! Aggie is hysterical, and the situations she gets into make me laugh out loud. There is a very clever little mystery worked into this great 4th of July short, and a ton of humor and enjoyment.

This is a super quick listen that has Aggie and her crew. In this one Aggie doesn’t get herself into too much trouble but is a very important witness to help solve a crime. Another great story with Aggie Underhill.

A short story, but still an enjoyable read... It's not necessarily a murder mystery as it's solved right after it happens but it was a cute story and a quick read.

I was not sure how I was going to like a 38 minute mystery. The premise had me very interested though. After listening to this short story I really want to listen to some more books in the series.
It is not a very exciting mystery but it sucks you into the series.
The characters were all very likeable and feel like old friends. There were also some very funny bits (coffee related) and sweet bits. Lastly, there is a question I just want to know the answer too.
I cannot wait to listen to another in the series.
Adam Schulmerich does a great job with the narration and has great inflection and distinct voices for each majour and minour character.
