Name (in native language): Birth Date: September 5 Zodiac: Virgo
Tamura is an avid RPG videogamer - Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, etc. She also loves to read mystery books, and going on the computer to chat with her fans.
Hana's arc and the Spring Team have vastly grown on me. I loved them in this volume and was fully invested in their storyline. The last two chapters in this volume aren't as strong as the previous, but the introspection and the quotes are haunting and hit me deeply.
"Losing a beloved person, or losing a precious dream. Which one is heavier?"
Welp, our teams are slowly finding out that this new world is not an illusion, and that they are truly in Japan. I did feel sorry for them finding it out, it must have been quite a shock. I would probably also scream and cry if I saw landmarks broken and sunk below the sea. I wasn't happy that that dude was still around but we do find out why (and boy, warning for you all if you can't handle the gore don't read this one, especially not while eating dinner :P). I did like that we switched between Summer Team B and Spring Team. See things happen from two perspectives. See how the world has turned out to be. We also meet a ton of new creepy crawlers. NOPE NOPE NOPE. BTW, I guess I wouldn't have been chosen for the program. With my allergies, and my other health stuff. I am not sure how I feel about it. On the one hand I wouldn't want to survive in this situation, on the other hand I would love a chance.
I hate first scene that Yanagi die. It was so gross. But when he fired up himself, I just felt really hurt inside. In this volume, I could find a development of Natsu. First, she couldn’t say anything when she was uncomfortable, but she could say “Please don’t touch me” to Semi-Maru. She is trying to change her character.

I cattivi ragazzi.
Both Team Spring and Team Summer B end up in circumstances this time where they have to face the reality of their situation and it leads to many interesting quieter character moments. (Not that there isn't also still a fair bit of action, especially at the beginning and end of this volume.)
Some of the things I loved, in no particular order: - Natsu's growth and her finding the courage to speak out in more and more situations both big and small - Hana acknowledging Chisa's strength (because it's so easy to just brush her off as a doormat last volume and Hana kind of did, but now sees things clearer) - the way Haru from one team and Chimaki from the other compare as the two "artist" types - the "bridge over troubled water" scene. I doubt the anime adaptation will keep most of the songs but I can't imagine this moment any other way (yet?)
One thing that works really well for me in hindsight is the moment where Botan is asked why there's a Team Summer B specifically and she explains why there's a B team, but not why it's Summer specifically that got one. That story will have to wait for another day...
This was the least interesting volume so far. Maybe because we finally get a sense of where the characters are and what remains of the world, but it was pretty somber and depressing too. I kind of wish the cities and towns weren't in such disrepair personally, I think it could've been a bit more interesting if the characters could explore them and find loot.
I think something that made me less invested in what was happening was the fact that we're just watching people go around, looking for their homes and being surprised that nothing is left. Over and over again. Like I get it, but it's boring. Also, of the series just becomes focused on rebuilding society (farming and such), that'll really tank my interest completely.
whew, those reveals. the denial and slow dawning horror as they struggle to accept that everything and everyone they know and love has perished is so well done here. we’re also following a large cast of characters and yumi tamura is handling the humanity—both good and bad—of each one very well imo. yeah. this is literature.
I CANT WAIT TIL HANA AND ARASHI FIND EACH OTHER IM TIRED OF THEIR BITCHUNG LIK IT WOULD BE SO MUCH MORE ENJOYABKE IF THEYD STOP MOPING GET UR SHIT TOGETHER ARI

I'm not too into the Hana character, I guess because I bonded with the shy girl first and am now impatient when the story diverges from her. In this volume, the two groups finally figure out where in Japan they are and see evidence that indeed they're in the distant future, when civilization is already long gone. Arashi and Hana seem to be getting close to reuniting. The scene in which the musician plays the organ in the chapel was pretty great. This is definitely of a higher quality than other, more romance-centered shoujo.

I'm getting used to the drawings by now The mangaka is really great in drawing face expressions but not the features and bodies I guess? Story line is very interesting + each character is well designed *-* Looking forward for the rest of the teams !
