Another heart attack after this issue. Brian, don't kill Marko!!! It was shocking that scene!!! The last part was saddest!! Hazel in the beach with his daddy, 'Honeybaby, you have to be kind with everyone you meet' 'That's the hardest part of being alive' Ahhhhh!!! Heartbreaking 💔

why it gets harder every issue? why? I don't understand why BKV makes everything harder? is he trying to lose a reader?

I personally do not have any reason to continue reading this series. I'm seriously wondering whether I should stop reading this or not, I mean I've read all 54 issues, but damn... this shit is getting ridiculously depressing. The excitement that was there with the first couple of issue is wearing off, now it's just death and gore porn. I still not over Sir Robot death. I honestly tired of all that misery don't know if I will read this anymore.

This issue crushed me. I needed a drink right after I finished it.

7/25, 18:00 CST: A bit late to add this on, but "most shocking arc" my foot. What was supposed to be so shocking? Developments on the war? The war's been in the background so much that the new developments Sir Robot claimed to be true were like white noise.
I don't care about the war. I understand that it's the thing that's keeping this family on the run, but that's not what I'm invested in. The last two arcs were more shocking in my opinion.

This didn't even cover a fake news scandal because the evidence behind it is so fuzzy.
Or maybe I'm overlooking something. I dunno. This is the latest arc of Saga, and maybe this arc will have a greater impact in future installments, but right now I'm not feeling the punch from that element of the arc.

On the other hand, the casualty count in this arc totaled up to four
- one of them I was hoping for (let Ianthe bleed out on the sand)
- one that didn't leave an impact on me at all (I'm sorry Doff, but you weren't around long enough or had a strong enough character to leave an impression)
- one I knew was coming for a while (Sir Robot, rest in pieces)
- one that came way too soon and left me questioning (Marko, a good dad and husband)

I guess we're expecting blood every arc now. Izabel and Child #2 were done on Phang, not to mention all of the inhabitants on the comet, things were kinda quiet in the Coffin arc, and this one was straight up a Red Wedding.

If Alana gets clipped permanently, I just don't know what to do, but she and Petrichor now have two fatherless children to look after. How's that gonna be explored, BKV?

Why didn't Marco kill The Will?
I don't think it's because there was no way out of that situation. The jellyfish ship was controlled by a dualshock game controller--that isn't difficult to figure out.
Is it because of his vow to no longer kill? Considering The Will killed a man in front of Marco instead of talking it out and is the one hired to kill Marco's family, that would be a justified killing.
Not to say that Marco's vow wasn't the right thing to do--he did his time in the war, and the man just wants some peace. But in this situation, in order to get that peace, wouldn't he fight for it?
Wouldn't he need to do a necessary kill to insure that his family gets to have that peace?

Or maybe he was tired of all the fighting.

I'm not sure what to make of either of these, but The Will is still on the loose and will probably definitely come after the family again.

I'll stick around for one more arc to see where this is going, but after this I don't know...
