Always a good time with these books! My 6 and 8 year old kids love them. They are so obsessed, we had to get on Peacock just to watch the book to screen adaptation and it does NOT disappoint!
This series is a good introduction to chapter books, especially if you have a squirmy reader. You’re not getting much of a moral in the story, but it entertains the kids and it’s easy for them to read. My first grader is doing very well with it.
"I like this book because there is always aN adventure and a problem to solve! I put a four star raTing for this book. PRESS START books are realy AWSOME and I love PREES START BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" -STELLA
{My thoughts} – This book has the remnants of a great set of video games in it’s making. As I was reading through this one it made me think of Animal Crossing/Mario/and Zelda a Link to the Past. If you’ve had the pleasure of playing any of those games you’ll see the reminders of them throughout this book.
Super Rabbit Boy needs to beat King Viking again. Only this time he needs certain weapons in order to do so. He ends up going on a super long quest in order to finally be able to fight up against King Viking.
I really enjoyed this book. It is a great addition to the series. I really like how it pulls in the aspect of many different games and helps to bring those games to book. I look forward to reading the next book when it is released in the future.
This book is so painful to read. So painful. And of course my preschooler is obsessed with this one. Send help. (Rest of the series is fine. This one is just FULL OF MIND NUMBING SIDE QUESTS. And we have to live them along with Super Rabbit Boy.)
While King Viking is destroying Animal Town with a giant robot, Super Rabbit Boy gets stuck on a never-ending side quest. (Except, is it really a side quest when it's necessary for the main story?)
The boys in my class love this series and so does my son. I read this book with my 7 year old son and it only took us about 20 minutes to get through it. It's more picture book than chapter book and is perfect for reluctant readers, especially kids who like video games because the pictures all look like they come straight out of a video game. The storyline in this book goes off on one side adventure after another. We started to lose track of what Super Bunny needed to get for all of the characters after awhile which made us laugh. Luckily everything gets resolved in the end.
Read this tonight with my 4.5 year old who is big into make believe video games right now. Everything we do is “levels” and moving to the next one. There’s not a whole lot of plot here but I can see why it captured my son’s attention and would capture the attention of those new to chapter books (especially interested in video games). Colourful images draw the reader in and the text is just the right amount for the target audience (not too overwhelming). Elementary school libraries should definitely have these.
This book is short and I could see why kids would read it based on the video game idea. However, this did not appeal to me and my daughter thinks it’s pretty cool. I did like the aspect of the questions at the back of the book.
It was great because of all the fantasy. It’s like an adventure inside a book. I also like how you can imagine the whole entire story right in your head and get the idea. It’s super creative.
A is checking these books out at his school library (CCE - 2nd grade - age 7) From his teacher's library. They are good books. Easy to read. Comics He likes the pictures a lot
I realize that I'm not the target audience for this book, but all the side quests (I know--that's the point!) were a little annoying to me. Not my favorite in the series, for sure.
