With pert opinions and a less-than-perfect figure, Ruth Ann Sutton doesn’t measure up to Society’s vision of a perfect lady. She's forced to choose between life as a lonely spinster or reinventing herself to secure a respectable proposal.
Determined to rise above his meager beginnings, Benjamin Coulter’s reputation as a fast learner and hard worker earns him the opportunity to apprentice with a surveyor for the railroad—a position that will garner the respect he craves. After a chance encounter with Ruth Ann Sutton, Benjamin is smitten with her pretty face, quick wit, and feisty personality. When others ridicule his choice, will Benjamin listen to his heart or put ambition first?
Kelly Goshorn weaves her affinity for history and her passion for God into uplifting stories of love, faith and family set in nineteenth century America. Kelly earned a B.A. in Social Studies Education from Messiah College and a M.Ed. in History Education from The Pennsylvania State University. She is an active member of American Christian Fiction Writers where she currently serves as the president of their Viriginia chapter.
Her debut novel, A Love Restored, won the Director’s Choice Award for Adult/YA fiction at the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference in 2019 and earned recognition as both a Selah Award finalist in the Historical Romance category and as a Maggie Award Finalist for Inspirational Fiction.
Kelly has been enjoying her own happily-ever-after with her husband and best friend, Mike, for 30 years. Together they have raised three children, four cats, two dogs, a turtle, a guinea pig, a gecko, and countless hamsters. Thankfully, not all at the same time. When she is not writing, Kelly enjoys spending time with her young adult children, binge-watching BBC period dramas, board gaming with her husband, and spoiling her Welsh corgi, Levi.
For all women everywhere who have struggled with their weight their whole lives, this is our heroine.
Ruth Ann is a very relatable heroine. She’s layered and enjoyable and a little sassy to boot! Her feistiness and bravery had me loving her right from the start, especially as she withstood criticism and danger in her determination to continue teaching at the Freedman’s School. And oh how I wanted to reach in the pages and hug her close when careless words and reminders about her weight settled deeply in her heart.
And just as Ruthie isn’t a ‘typical’ heroine, neither is Benjamin a typical hero. He is – wait for it – flawed. I know, I know. Go ahead and clutch your pearls in horror, my fellow book boyfriend collectors. He messes up pretty badly with Ruthie. And yes, I wanted to purse whomp him. Yet, at the same time, it’s obvious how much he loves Ruthie (once he gets his heart straightened out a bit) and his swoonilicious kisses will have you searching for the nearest freezer to read from! Ben’s awareness of his profound failure and his desire to let God transform him into a man worthy of Ruthie also gives the author opportunity to tuck a sweet and tender message of restoration into their story.
Bottom Line: Kelly Goshorn has a place on my go-to authors shelf after this riveting debut novel with a timely and important glimpse at a pivotal time in our nation’s history. Ben and Ruthie’s romance is not without its teeth-jolting bumps in the road, but the wisdom we can all glean from their struggles has the potential to be life changing. The characters in A Love Restored are multi-dimensional and authentic, and Ruthie especially captured my heart. Her story is, in many ways, my own story. She is my kind of heroine, and what she taught me about trust – even after being deeply wounded – is priceless.
(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book)
I had the privilege of reading this book in the beginning stages and let me tell you--It. Is. So. Good! Kelly Goshorn is incredibly talented and she has crafted characters that you will love to call friends as you travel their journey with them. I've been waiting for forever for this book to come out and now that it has I'm squealing in delight! Read it!
Lovely debut set in 1873 (Reconstruction) Virginia. Ruth Ann Sutton is firm in her beliefs and doesn't wilt to the demands of others. While she is strong in her convictions, she has low self esteem about her figure. She isn't petite like her mother or older sister and her mother has led her to believe that Ruth Ann's large bone structure won't attract suitors.
Contrary to that belief, Ruth Ann has two viable suitors. One that wants marriage because he sees Ruth Ann as a strong compliment to his political aspirations. This suitor also comes with requirements such as Ruth Ann needing to discontinue her support of freedmen. The other suitor isn't as financially secure, but loves Ruth Ann for who she is.
Her journey to finding her own beauty was well written. I hope the author will write additional novels.
My gratitude to the author for a complimentary copy of the novel. I was not required to post a review and all opinions expressed are my own.
I've been waiting to read this book since I first heard about it and I can say it was worth the wait. Kelly Goshorn has an "imperfect" heroine who most women can identify with. Ruth Ann Sutton struggles with her weight and whether or not she's loveable. I could empathize with her so much and there were a couple of parts I though I'd burst into tears.
Thankfully Benjamin proves to be a man worthy of the hero title. I loved how he sought God to fix himself and earn Ruth Ann's love.
*I received a copy from the publisher. This is my own, honest review. **I'd give this a 4.5 stars
A Love Restored by Kelly Goshorn is a historical romance set in 1870s Virginia during the Reconstruction Era in the United States. Readers will love the heroine, Ruth Ann, as she is very relatable. It’s nice to have a main character that is flawed and struggles with different issues. Ruth Ann wrestles with body image and self-worth. She is on the heavier side and wants to be loved and accepted for who she is. I think every woman will be able to relate in some way to her struggles.
There are so many great lessons in this story! Ruth Ann teaches at a Freedman’s School and deals with a lot of racism. Through her dealings with racism the lesson is taught that people should think more about what they have in common than focusing on their differences. And throughout there’s also the message about body image, self-worth and learning to love who you are. The heart is what matters the most and we shouldn’t compare ourselves to others.
If you’re looking for a historical romance filled with faith content, this is the book for you! Ms. Goshorn has written a wonderful debut!
Content: I would put this book in the edgy Christian fiction category and give it a PG-13 rating. Some examples of the content are: the word Negro is used in historical context; mentions of a woman’s curves and bosom and a man trying not to look at them; a man smokes a cigar and another chews tobacco; men make alcohol and play poker; a bit of physical abuse; a man has slept with a woman he’s not married to; a man attempts to physically assault a woman; some scenes are a little steamy as the couple tries to resist temptation.
Rating: I give this book 4 stars!
Genre: Christian fiction; Historical; Romance
I want to thank Kelly Goshorn and Prism Book Group for the complimentary copy of this book for review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I express in this review are my own. This is in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s CFR 16, Part 255.
Ruth Ann is my favorite, purely because I can see her struggles as my own. She is a real person with real struggles. Her pain was my pain. You can't help but become Ruth Ann in your mind and rejoice with her, grieve with her, and be restored with her.
What I liked:
I typically am not a big fan of books that make me cry, but this one did and I still liked it. I really connected with Ruth Ann. Her struggles touched a tender personal nerve, a nerve I feel will resonate with many--if not all--women. Even Benjamin's struggles resonated with my experiences with men I have known. I can't speak personally for men, but it seemed a believable problem.
Who would like this:
Anyone who loves a sweet romance with lots of emotional ups and downs, books that might touch a tender nerve but will grow you, or stories of restoration.
What a wonderful, emotional book!! This is what Westerns are made of!! I felt like I was in real western movie acting right along with Ruth Ann. She'll always hold a special place in my heart!! Simply put she is me. I laughed and cried with her. But the main thing was I felt her pain because I was made fun of my whole life. Benjamin made me soooo mad!! It doesn't matter what someone looks like or their weight. It's what's in the heart that counts. The only thing I didn't like was the way the kindle version did me. Every time I closed it out I alsways had to find my place whereas it usually takes me to where I left off. So, I'm sure I ended up skipping some parts!! The message in this book is forgiveness. Which really makes sense because if you don't it will eat you up until it consumes you. And besides you're only hurting yourself!! Ruth Ann's mother wow!! What a hypocrite!! She reminds me of my own mother in law!! Jeez!!! But I'm glad she finally realized that not everyone is alike!! I wish I had a sister like Sarah. I'm glad Ruth Ann had her for a sibling!! I relly loved this book!! When I seen the cover and read the blurb I knew it was for me!! I strongly recommend this book!! I received a copy of this book. No compensations were received and all opinions are my own.
There was a lot that I loved about this book, and a few things that I didn't.
First, what I loved:
⛪The faith element was very strong. I looked up the publishing company, and it seems like the Pelican Publishing Group endeavors to publish books that uplift the gospel. I love that! While I don't mind the Christian fiction that isn't explicit in its faith content, there's still a place for good strong Christian books that proclaim truth unabashedly throughout the story. I can definitely appreciate that.
🖊️The actual writing/prose was very good.
😁There was a great sense of humor throughout the narration and in the dialogue. It wasn't a rom-com, but there were definitely moments that made me chuckle and grin at the wit and humor.
📌For me, personally, I loved that it was set so close to home! All the place names felt very familiar because some of them were real (Leesburg, for example), and some of them were fake but definitely reminiscent of actual names.
Ruth Ann Sutton is the kind of heroine many readers will identify with. I mean, which females out there haven’t compared themselves unfavourably to other women at some point? Any hands? I’d venture to guess not. For those of us whose figures are a little (or a lot) rounder than we’d like, Ruth Ann’s story may hit even closer to home. From the most kindly meant advice right through to taunts and rejection, words have far greater sting than we credit, and they can bury themselves in our flesh and fester.
But it’s not just words about ourselves that can have a negative impact. One of the things I loved about this story was that it also showed the way in which we allow ourselves to be influenced by the things people say about others—to the point where other people’s opinions guide our behaviour to our detriment. In this respect, Ruth Ann and Benjamin stand in stark contrast, because Ruth Ann refuses to be cowed into standing down from her position as teacher in the Freedman’s School, irrespective of what form that pressure takes, whereas Benjamin is very conscious of the jabs and ribald jokes at Ruth Ann’s expense and how other people might view him by association.
Ruth Ann was definitely a heroine close to my heart. If I’m honest, I would have to say I identified with Ruth Ann’s ‘pert opinions’ and stubbornness even more than her struggle with her self-image! I enjoyed her feistiness and her interactions with Benjamin, and I loved that she believed so strongly in educating freedmen and their families. Benjamin I found a little harder to identify with at times. I think a stronger foreshadowing of his struggle would have helped make one of his decisions, in particular, more understandable, but no one can doubt the earnestness of his desire to grow and become the man Ruth Ann needed him to be. And he enjoyed Ruth Ann’s feistiness as much as I did!
This was an engaging debut, and I hope we will be seeing more from Kelly Goshorn.
I received a copy of this novel from the author. This has not influenced the content of my review, which is my honest and unbiased opinion.
I knew the moment I read the synopsis that I’d enjoy this story, what I didn’t expect is all the emotions I’d feel as I read the story! Kelly Goshorn has written a phenomenal story, one that not only drew me into the lives of the characters but a story that touched my heart and has lingered with me long after I close the page.
Ruth Ann is spunky, determined, and broken. She has a big heart for others, especially her students at the Freedman’s School. But, like so many of us, she carries with her a heavy baggage of words that were careless tossed her direction. Sometimes it is easier to believe the negative messages people tell you than the positive messages. For some reason, those negative messages seem a lot stickier.
What to say about Benjamin Coulter? I went from loving him to wanting to smack him upside the head, to feeling for him, and his personal struggle, and cheering for him and hoping for the best outcome. He is quite the hero. He will wrap himself around your heart for sure! Benjamin has his flaws and tends to have to learn his lessons the hard way. His love for Ruth Ann is endearing, heartbreaking and profound.
I saw myself in each of these characters and was reminded of several important truths. It is infinitely important that we choose to listen to God’s voice and to know who we are in Him. It is just as important that we don’t allow our perception of beauty to be dictated by others. I was also reminded of how easy it is to fall into the trap of wanting to please other people, and seek their admiration and respect when our focus should really be on pleasing God and seeking His approval.
This is a story that you don’t want to miss! I give this book 5 enthusiastic stars and would encourage you to pick up a copy to enjoy for yourself today!
(I receive complimentary books for review from publishers, publicists, and/or authors, including Netgalley. I am not required to write positive reviews. The opinions I have expressed are my own.)
I just finished Kelly Goshorn’s debut novel and couldn’t wait to write a review. There are only a few authors about whom I can say that. A Love Restored is inspired by the author’s own story, and I admire her willingness to share something so personal. I fell in love with Benjamin and rooted for him through the entire book as he tried to win Ruth Ann’s love. He is genuine yet flawed, and his willingness to address his shortcomings speaks volume as to his integrity. Ruth Ann’s pain and insecurities resonated with me as she faced criticism and ridicule from strangers and family alike. I alternately smiled, laughed, and cried with the two protagonists. Their growth and maturity as Christians was natural and edifying to me as a fellow Christian. The subplot about the prejudices and dangers associated with educating African-Americans after the Civil war added intrigue and made for suspense and excitement toward the end of the story (I won’t give any spoilers!) I’d award more stars if they were available. I was given an ebook copy A Love Restored to review, but I enjoyed it so much I will be purchasing the paperback to read again and again. I look forward to more books by Ms. Goshorn.
I received a free copy of the book from the author, and a positive review was not required. All opinions expressed are my own.
This book was excellent! As I raise four children and unfortunately feel I have little time to read, I could not wait to pick this book up each time I could find a few spare moments. The story flowed, maintained my interest, and the characters were multi-dimensional. I was pleasantly surprised by several things that took place in the book making it less predictable in a refreshing way that kept me on the edge of my seat. I found myself immersed in the story due to the descriptive details that naturally usher the reader into the setting with ease. In addition, I greatly enjoyed the historical nature of this book that so well detailed Virginia small town life. I was appreciative of the author's unapologetic way of addressing an issue of great importance such as racism and highlighting the travesty that anyone would ever be judged by the color of their skin. The fact that 'Man looks at the outward appearance and God looks at the heart' was foundational and weaved throughout this entire story. The author has done an unbelievable job with her first of MANY books... I hope. Can't wait to read the next one!
A Love Restored should be required reading for all young women who struggle with self-image. Strike that. All young women. Strike that. All women. Okay, let’s try this again. A Love Restored should be required readying for EVERYBODY. Truly, I came away from this engrossing novel inspired, uplifted, and even a little bit restored myself. A beautifully written love story that embraces forgiveness and God’s best for our lives. Loved the characters. Loved the plot. Do I recommend this story? You betcha. I will be gifting this book to many of my friends.
A Love Restored, the debut novel by Kelly Goshorn, is a meaningful piece of historical romantic fiction that I found to be relevant and inspiring. The characters within this book are authentic and vulnerable, possessing a thoughtful believability that makes them truly relatable and memorable. Their struggles, insecurities, fears, and beliefs are genuine and moving. As I read, I developed an empathetic connection to the characters and their desperate search for the truth, the grace, the forgiveness, and the acceptance they needed to overcome the heartaches and trials they had endured.
The significant themes in this story reveal the extent to which condemnation and pride can hinder the soul, while showing the powerful impact acceptance and approval can have in creating a safe space for healing to begin and wholeness to be realized. Superficiality proves to be empty and unfulfilling, but courageous acts and selfless choices bring about true happiness and lasting contentment.
A Love Restored is a story of hope and second chances. It is a story of faith and trust and new beginnings. It is a story that endeavors to reveal where true beauty is to be found, and how it can be properly nurtured. From the first page to the last, this novel was thoughtful, tender, emotionally stirring, and ultimately uplifting. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
*4.5 stars
*I was given a copy of this novel from the author/publisher. A review was not required. The review I have written contains opinions that are entirely my own.
There are so many things I enjoyed about this story. The characters were well written, even the secondary ones. They all had an integral part in the story, and Ms. Goshorn made sure to weave them into my heart like they were just part of the family – good and bad. The pace of the story was great. I never felt bored or tired, nor did I feel that the blossoming romance wasn’t happening fast enough. In fact, I liked the way it was written because it felt more natural and realistic. Some people like a couple to immediately get together, but I am not one of them! Plus the story had excitement. About three quarters of the way in something big happens – sorry not giving any spoilers away. Let me say this – I was on the edge of my seat. I was scared for Ruth Ann, Benjamin, and all the others. And I did not let anything interfere with me reading past that section and to the very end. But, there is one particular thing about this book that totally took my breath away.
Ruth Ann. The story could have been dull, but quite honestly I still would have enjoyed it because of Ruth Ann. She is my favorite heroine of the year. Why? Because I felt like I was her, or could have been her if I lived back then. First of all, she was not some skinny, beautiful heroine. She had curves, was a little big boned if you will, and men still found her attractive. Being a larger woman myself, I long to have stories that have a curvy heroine in them. The thing about Ruth Ann was that she didn’t let her curviness define her like so many women do. She was just Ruth Ann. Spunky, stubborn, opinionated, caring, loving, and not afraid to stand up for what she felt was right. I loved that she was a teacher at Freedman’s School – I would have done the same. Back then it was frowned upon of course, but she didn’t care. She did what was right, and I found that to be so inspiring. When things got tough, she didn’t run away. When her mama wanted to force her into a marriage of convenience, she didn’t back down. She had plenty of struggles, especially with a parent that seems to constantly demean you. But she got through them. She was so easy to relate to, even though she was from a different time period. We all have similar struggles in our life. Ruth Ann showed wonderful growth as I continued to read, and by the end she was the character I had hoped she would transform into.
Ms. Goshorn has written a wonderful novel that is worth reading. It provides great attention to detail as far as the historic end, well rounded characters, faith, exciting scenes, and yes – the romance we all want to read about. I cannot wait to see what stories come next from Kelly Goshorn. She is an author to keep your eye on!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A captivating debut novel with a heartfelt historical romance, chock full of emotion and inspiration! Set in 1873 Virginia, the details of the Reconstruction period with the Freedmen's Bureau and westward expansion, sets the stage for some serious drama.
The descriptive writing flowed well, painting a clear picture of how the main characters felt throughout their relationship and the events that affected them. These characters dealt with issues that many can relate to, and offers hope for overcoming trials with faith. This isn't a typical boy meets girl type romance--they go through a lot! The spiritual themes underlying the story brought deep meaning to what they went through: prejudice and hate, forgiveness and restoring trust in relationships, learning to love and accept people as they are, looking past societal norms of beauty to look on the heart. Loved the way the author shows both Ruth Ann and Benjamin learning how to cling to the truth of Scripture to change their thinking, and overcome the negative forces in their lives. Ruth Ann's struggle with her body image, and Benjamin's pride and seeking approval from others, are things many of us struggle with. My heart broke along with Ruth Ann's. Love the verses that helped remind her that she was loved and not abandoned.
Recommend to mature readers who enjoy a deeper faith based romance. I will be looking forward to more of this promising author's work. 4.5 stars
(An ebook was provided by the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.)
Great Debut novel! I loved the spunky heroine, Ruth Ann Sutton! She may not have been society's idea of perfect size, nor her mother's but she has a wonderful heart for people. I also love the scene where Ruth Ann meets the hero Benjamin Coulter, I had tears in my eyes from laughter. I liked how the author tells the story of Ben, getting his heart right with God to overcome his past and his expectations. I hated the way Ruth Ann's mother made her feel about herself. I was glad that she had her sister, brother-in-law, and Myra (I loved Myra) to balance out some of the negativity. There is quite a bit of suspense and danger for a time in the story as well. It had me on the edge of my seat. Overall, this is a very well written book with well-developed characters that felt so real, I feel like I know them in person. It is a very good look at a small post Civil war town and the struggles of moving forward.
Ruth Ann is the embodiment of everything I enjoy in a heroine! She has a great love for all around her, she's spunky, honest, and says what she thinks. I applauded her love for teaching at the Freedman school despite the threats for doing so. I sympathize with her weight struggles and feeling of self-worth.
I really enjoyed A Love Restored up until I wanted to give Benjamin a slap upside the head. Even then, however, I was rooting for him and hoping for him to overcome a misguided promise from his childhood (takes him a while to work through it though). Thankfully he has a mentor helps him to see the truth.
Ruth Ann and Benjamin encounter themes of self-image, what other people think, insecurities from childhood, loss of trust, learning to trust in God's will, forgiveness, and second chances.
What a beautiful debut novel by Kelly Goshorn. A lovely example of inspirational fiction.
Loved this historical romance by Kelly Goshorn! Beautiful story that follows the journey of Ruth Ann Sutton, a woman with a heart to teach freed negroes in 19th century Virginia, despite the obstacles and danger. Ruth Ann fears no man will ever love or want her due to her fuller figure but Benjamin Coulter’s attention gives her hope. I recommend this sweet romance to anyone who enjoys historical romance. I’ll definitely be reading more from this author.
A Love Restored is a beautiful historical drama that will send you on a roller-coaster of emotions. You will laugh, you will cry, and at one point you will want to grab the hero by his neck and shake the stuffing out of him. Well, at least I did! I loved this debut novel by Kelly Goshorn. I stayed up until three in the morning to finish. If you have ever struggled with your body image or self-acceptance than this book is for you. This book reminds us of the importance of seeing others as God sees them regardless if they are overweight, disabled, disfigured, or a different skin color. I loved how the author brought out the importance of seeing yourself as God made you. He loves you just the way you are. It speaks of God’s forgiveness, of his ever-open arms to those who are willing to repent. It speaks of learning to forgive others and learning to trust those who’ve broken your trust. It speaks of the importance of our words, how we can injure someone by the things we say. It speaks of God’s healing hand when we allow him to work. The historical element opens one rarely addressed, that of the Restoration era after the Civil War. This was a painful time in our country’s history. Ruth Ann teaches at the Freedman’s School, trying to give the newly emancipated Americans the tools they need to build a better life for themselves. Unfortunately, there are many who oppose her efforts. This book is for the mature reader. Some male characters speak vulgar things regarding Ruth Ann’s plumpness, but the author handled this with tact, hoping to make a point, but not be too graphic. There are also several fight scenes that might be too much for a younger or more sensitive audience.

Ruth Ann was a character I could really identify with. Her insecurities and trying to please people were aspects of her character that a lot of people could identify with. I also really liked that even though Benjamin made a mistake and tried to smooth things over she did not immediately fall for him, instead she realized that he was shallow and she wanted no part in it. I am glad that they did not get back together at first. it made their relationship more meaningful and more believable.
I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review. The ideas and thoughts are my own.
Oh what a beautiful story this was! I could truly feel both Ruth Ann and Benjamin’s uncertainty in several situations throughout the book as they each grappled with perceptions, hurts, anxieties, and much more.
These characters felt so real to me. At times, they would be strong and confident in their decision making and then something would set them back and they would start to doubt. There was a lot of back and forth in Ben and Ruthie’s relationship, much to be overcome, and a lot of spiritual growth that had to occur.
I came close to tears a few times in this novel as I experienced Ruth Ann’s heartache regarding lost love and a feeling of hopelessness about being heavier than other women.
I loved Ruth Ann’s heart for helping teach the freed slaves in her town. She was a smart, strong, and caring woman. I found this thread of the story very interesting as events played out in the novel.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this book! In addition to the page-turning storyline about a young woman following her dreams and teaching at a a Freedmen’s school in the 1870s, A Love Restored offers the heart-tugging, hopeful, and spiritual message that God loves us just as he created us and that a person’s character, not physical attributes, is what matters most. This was such a beautiful story of hope and second chances and I can’t wait to read more from this author!
For centuries, women have suffered through criticism and scorn simply for not having “the right” body type. It is not often, however, that we see this issue addressed in historical romance novel. This alone makes A LOVE RESTORED all the more original and important. Add to that Goshorn’s talent with characterization, realistic dialogue, and precise historical details, and a true masterpiece emerges.
Both humorous and heart-wrenching, this story will stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page. Ruth Ann and Benjamin’s love story is a true journey of awakening, enlightenment, and understanding. Not only do the characters grow and learn from one another, but so does the reader. You will be changed and you will be talking about this remarkable love story for a long time.
What a great start for historical romance author Kelly Goshorn! A Love Restored brings drama, history, romance, and action to life within the confines of Civil War-era Virginia as heroine Ruth Ann Sutton fights for love, independence, and freedom for those she cares about. Goshorn writes the story with authenticity and skill beyond that of a debut author. Ruth Ann is a well-developed heroine with flaws, struggles, and desires easy to identify with. The battles of the time period brim with historical support that bring the dangers and fears so much to life that it's difficult to imagine how people could really live in such ways. I enjoyed this novel very much and am looking forward to reading more from this author. She's certainly one to watch for.
Virginia 1873 Ruth Ann Sutton is a remarkable woman in so many ways, however, she doesn’t fit in the mold society has for women of the time. She may not be perfect in their eyes, but she doesn’t let that stop her in choosing the path she takes. Most everyone is against what she is doing, but she is determined to teach at the Freedman’s school irregardless. This brings some trouble to her and the school, but she receives help from an unlikely person. I enjoyed the interaction between Ruth and Benjamin and watching them as their feelings grow. A heartwarming story.
~I won a copy of this book from the author (no monetary gain were exchanged), this is my honest review~
What a wonderful book! This is a book that you don't want to end but you have to know what happens next. If you are looking for a book that has drama, suspense, and romance, this is the book for you! I highly recommend this book.
