I was really enjoying this series and this book until the ridiculously silly and extremely anti-climatic ending. The whole series was building to this giant war that, when it finally arrived, spanned one paragraph (not literally, but it certainly felt like it). I still can't get over it....
I really had forgotten how much these books made me laugh out loud. The way Elle writes these books its has the right amount of serious storyline and the right amount of humour. I love Jayne and I love Tim. I also adore Baby Bee! Their relationship dynamics had me in absolute stitches over and over again. Jaynes relationships with everyone are so heartfelt and full of love and that really shines through in Winged Warriors. The obstacles she has to overcome make her stronger and she learns more about herself as she does so. And without realising it she is actually maturing and growing up.
There are some absolutely heart wrenching moments in WW that made my heart feel like it was about to explode, lord knows how Jayne actually got through it but she did. Like Tony says everything happens for a reason and he wasn't wrong.
Anyone who loves fae and supernatural books should definitely read these books.
This series has been a huge part of my life for years. Jayne's humor and wit, and her story of finding herself on a crazy journey with her friends battling demons galore has been so interesting to follow. I was hesitant to start this book, because I knew it would be the end and I wasn't sure that i was ready for it. Elle Casey takes you on your own adventure through this book, and I can confidently say that this book blew my mind. I was crying and laughing and up on my feet at times, reading Jayne's last big battle. I really don't want to say goodbye, because I don't know what to do with them gone. I look forward to reading Casey's new series whenever it comes out and hopefully seeing a few of my favorites along the way. 10/10
Funny, exciting and perfect ending for the the series
Jayne is Jayne as she barrels headlong into adventure in this final book of the the series. There is all of the fun and excitement but also heartbreak and loss. Jayne does some growing up and soul searching. She must make some major changes in her life with both finding out about her pregnancy and adjusting to it to be being the savior of world. No problem. I recommend this book for older teens and adults because of language and violence.
Not my favourite of the series. I gave it four stars but in reality, I would have gone with 3.2 if possible. I was hoping that certain parts of the story arc would be clarified but it simply seemed to be a rehash of previous plot lines. Add in the overabundance of potty-mouthed garbage and you've got -well - more of the same. I guess that's simply how some people imagine the kids talk these days. Anyway, if there is going to be a follow up series, I'll be thinking long & hard as to whether I check it out.
I can’t express how much I have enjoyed this series of books. Elle Casey is a truly magical story teller. The depth of characters and the links between them are awesome. The twists and turns each book takes keep you greedily turning the page I’m so sad that this was the last book I want them to go on forever! Very much looking forward to the next series Elle has mentioned in the acknowledgments of This book. This is a book series I will re-read many times! It will be like sitting down with friends. Thanks for the War of the Fae world Elle!
This was a series I was dying for the author to complete, but I'm not sure I was happy with the ending. I liked the addition of the new characters. The story felt... I don't know, not enough, I guess? I'm not sure why I feel cheated, but the last three books just didn't seem to fit the first seven.
However, I love Elle Casey and I love the whole War of the Fae crew. And I'd love to get more of an epilogue on the story.
I highly recommend starting with Book 1, you will not be disappointed. Great story that has you laughing and crying a long with the characters. I hate this comes to an end but I do look forward to the next series and possibly seeing some of these characters there too ...
This series has come to an end. I fell in love with this series a long time ago and waited so long for the last two books, and am so sad it has ended. Love all the characters and even though I felt the ending was a bit rushed, it did leave open ended for more to come in a new series. Great series!
Like the other books in this series this one is packed with adventure and suspense and a great read. As sad as I was to see this series come to an end Elle Casey did a good job wrapping things up. That being said I'm looking forward to seeing what her next foray into this world will bring and I hope we get to hear more about Jayne, Spike, and their crew.
I adore this series because I love the snarky characters and the adventures they go through. Each new book meant a re-read of the books before it. Gifted is all I can say about Elle Casey. Thank you for sharing with the world so I was able to become a part of your WORLD!
I would say the ending was a little lackluster, especially when the anticipated battle is more so summarised than like fully explained, but I do suppose there've been enough battles here n there. Some of the points felt confusing, but once again I did like the book overall. It kinda just seemed the author wanted to get it over with, which made me kinda disapointed.
A great way to end this series. The author does another awesome job bring the magic alive in this final book of the series. I have never laughed so much reading a book as I have done with this one (and with every book in this series).
Great book. To many tears to count. I am sad the series is over but I hope at some point in the future we see another series involving the 2 new fae we have come to love.
While I'm sad that the series has come to an end, it was definitely worth the wait. I love that this last installment is about love, it was perfect. I'm going to miss Jayne and her friends.
I love how it all came together in this final book. I do feel the ending was a bit rushed but I also think leaving it open like that is awesome. I hope we can get more adventures with the fae in the future.
Loved the books had me firstly homes read book one and didn't stop until I finished book ten. I'm hoping there's a follow in book about the children and dragons soon
I have loved this series from the get go. I am pulled into the world of the Fae and wish I could have more. I'm awaiting Casey's New characters in this world. And I truly love the message of love and kindness.
Wow! What a journey this has been..I am so happy with how this series ended.. But am already missing my go to read! I can't believe I read all ten books .. Well when a story is so epic you can't sleep I guess it's possible! I can't wait to see what happens next!
I really enjoyed this series. I don't usually read series longer than 3 books, I loose interest. Not with this series. I highly recommend it. If you like fantasy with a sassy but vulnerable main character, you will also enjoy this series.
The author has clearly been very unwell, according to her blog (which was last added to in 2019). I suspect it was an attempt by her, or someone writing for her, to just get the last book out. If so, it is understandable, but still a very disappointing dud of an ending.
10 books and now here we are at the end of the story it is bittersweet. This was the perfect ending for characters that we love so much they became part of us.
