Everything in this book sounds wonderful, and the photos are gorgeous. The Honey cookbooks have a knack for being "just" familiar enough that you can wrap your mental taste buds around the idea, but then there's always some surprise flavor combination to provide temptation. For me, it's the ideas I want from a cookbook, not necessarily a specific recipe. There's plenty of inspiration here. This was a library loan, but I may have to buy my own copy.

I'm not in much of a cooking mood these days, so I admit checking this out was intended purely as an armchair chef read. Pretty much sums it up to say I want to eat almost everything in the book. Over a period of time, that is. Let's be reasonable.

Since I haven't made anything from it (yet), it might not be fair to rate it yet, but eh.

Right off the bat I made Chicken in plums and sweet spice. Delicious! I enjoyed reading about the authors' travels, restaurant life in London, and the stories behind the recipes. The poignant story about Donkey (nickname for a colleague) is noteworthy. Along with the recipes there is helpful cooking advice.
