Once Upon a Spell #6

Rapunzel and the Griffin Prince

Rate this book
Undertake a magical journey in Vivienne Savage's new romantic fantasy series loosely based on the lore of multiple fairy tales. Meet strong heroines supported by a cast of sexy heroes, intriguing friends, and devious villains. As always, the story is predominant with an intimate scene or two -- or even an innocence-claiming reformed manwhore. If you're adverse to any of the above, this series may not be for you!

I loved this book! There were many different fairy tales meshed in to the storyline, but the author made it work really well! Rapunzel and Muir became a couple under unusual circumstances, yet things panned out for the better as they got to work along side one another to save the kingdom. I haven’t read other books in the series, but definitely plan to check them out!

If you like Marie Hall/Jovee Winter’s Kingdom series, you’ll enjoy this one too.

Me like! 🤗

Every new adult fairy tale installment from the amazing Vivienne Savage is better than the last. Rapunzel and Muir stoke my heart so swiftly that I ended up reading it in about a day and a half. Yes, I did end up charging my device from a scary 7% to 23% just so I could finish. It was well worth it. I’ve purchased every story till now and will continue to do so.

Rapunzel is trapped and controlled for ten years by her father, until Muir shows up and shakes up the land of Eisland. I can’t get into anything else because I’m afraid of spoilers but I can’t recommend this book enough.

Rapunzel & Muir

Rapunzel is not a new character (we met her in James & Tink’s story), but Muir is. Muir is a shifter sent to Eisland on behalf of Ocland. Rapunzel has been locked in her tower for ten years by the time she meets Muir.
Through odd circumstances they marry in name only, but we see throughout the story how they fall in love and make their relationship more. In the meantime they are battling the evil queen, in a storyline that follows the snow queens story.

It’s a great read, just long and I felt that some parts were unnecessary. I will finish the series though because there is only one book left.

A beautiful tale. I really loved Rapunzel, I felt she was one of the strongest character ever in this serie. I also though she was much stronger and with more presence than Muir. I did like him but I felt he was more on the background.
The snow country and tales were beautiful. Can't wait for Joren's story!!!

The best one yet.....or is it?

Vivienne has done it again. This series of stories just get better and better. Please do yourself a favor and read them in order. It's not necessary but you will enjoy them so much more if you do. Each one adds a layer to the saga and makes the bigger story much richer. The most fun you'll ever have with a fairy tale.

Nice twist to a classic

The beginning was a bit boring, with a slow build up to some sort of action. There were a few good action scenes, slight sex scenes, then it all resolved rather quickly, with a "happily ever after."

Seeing as how this is the only book in the series I've read as of yet I'm not sure how other fairy tales fit; ie captain hook, Anastasia and other beasts.

Another exciting fantasy romance in this series based on fairy tales.
Typos: "what tact to take" should be tack, "reign it in" should be rein, lay/lie mix ups, "citing" is not the same as "saying," yeti's is a plural and does not have an apostrophe, vice is different from vise.

Can’t get enough

I can’t get enough of these fairytales. You get to see so many of the previous characters from past stories and the plot moves along so well that it’s hard to put the story down.

Once again, another great story that gripped me from the getgo. It may not be my favorite of the series, but still most definitely worth a read.

I like the characters and I’m glad it ended well, but the middle was so overwhelmingly dark and depressing, it was hard to get through. Too much death.

A unique twist on a classic tale.

So many surprises, so many things I never saw coming. I enjoyed how characters from the pervious stories all got cameos and how this story differed from the others. Vivienne Savage tells a unique version of Rapunzel that keeps you reading.

Must Read this Book

I thoroughly enjoyed this version of Rapunzel. Just enough magic with lots of adventure, betrayal, twists and turns and don't forget the steamy stuff ;) done very tasteful I might add. I also enjoyed the fact that we got to check in with almost all the lads and ladies from the previous books:) this is one of my favorite book series and I hope there are plenty more to come<3
