The Vampire Fate by Michelle Madow is the fourth book in the young adult paranormal/fantasy series The Vampire Wish. The series began with Annika out skiing with her family when they were attacked by vampires with Annika being the only survivor. The vampires then took Annika hostage to the hidden vampire kingdom of the Vale where she was kept as a human blood slave to provide food for the vampires. It's in this kingdom where Annika met Jacen who was also taken by the vampires against his will but unlike Annika who still remains human Jacen was turned against his wishes and now fights his desire to kill for blood.

Since the beginning of the story in the first book so much has happened in this fast paced adventure that I don't want to go into too many details and spoil the story for readers. As with other Michelle Madow books there is always plenty of jaw dropping moments included to keep a reader on the edge of their seat as the story unfolds over the course of the series. Some of the things included in this series though are of course the vampire kingdom the story begun in but the world has been expanded to learn of other kingdoms along with werewolves outside the borders, witches who bring their sorcery into the mix along with now touching upon nephilim.

Most of the story has centered around the two main characters thus far of Annika and Jacen with them alternating their own points of view but there have also been chapters told from other key characters at different times during the books. As fast paced as they are the story is always easy to follow along with as more and more action is brought in to heighten the story. And even with being quick reads the world and character building is just enough to feel that you get to know exactly what is going on at each turn of the page.

This has definitely been a series to hold my interest and always take me by surprise with each installment along the way and I'd certainly recommend checking it out to fans of this genre. I would definitely suggest though to start back at the beginning with the Vampire Wish otherwise a reader would probably be lost if jumping into the later books as it's one that has picked up where each left off and built upon that excitement.

I received a free advance copy of this book directly from the author, thank you to Michelle Madow for allowing me to read early.

Thanks to the author for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review, this doesn't in any way influence my opinion on it.
description
This book is AMAZING!. After that massive cliffhanger of the last book that revealed a major secret that changed everything we knew about Annika, I expected The Vampire Fate to be explosive and it certainly delivered. It began with the aftermath of Annika's grand revelation, knowing what will befall her now that her secret is out in the open, Annika commanded Geneva to teleport them to the Haven hoping to seek refuge there. Jacen was anxious to know why Annika lied to him when it was obvious she still had feelings for him, so he devised a plan that depended on him pretending to go after her with the aim of exacting revenge on her. Karina knowing that she will never be able to go home again due to the enormity of her failure also decides to go after Annika and get the ring. At the Haven, Annika has interesting encounters. She realised the full extent of Geneva's deviousness, her awful history and just how much she'd been played. Secrets about Annika's past was revealed along with her future. Michelle Madow impresses me with the way the world keeps getting bigger and better each book in, She expertly broadens the scope in subtle yet noticeable and it makes a fantastic worldbuilding. The Haven is an interesting new piece to the whole puzzle that is a welcome addition as it leads to so many intriguing stuff. Annika as a character keeps growing in different ways each book in but I think this is the best yet because she's finally coming into her own and she's pretty badass. Her relationship with Jacen has been on rocky ground for a while now but I loved the way it progresses in The Vampire Fate, their time together reminds me of how intense their chemistry is. Various turns of events leads Annika and Jacen on an exciting quest that could change their world as they know it. I commend Michelle Madow for coming up with this new and refreshing idea that elevates the whole storyline further. The Vampire fate is not lacking in action and shocking twists and turns, the fast pace makes it all even better. The moments before the ending were as usual chaotic and action filled, I was pleasantly surprised by the different development. I so can't wait for the next book especially with that wicked cliffhanger. Fans of the series will eagerly devour this book, It is another great addition to the series. The Vampire Fate has action, magic, romance, supernaturals, drama, excitement, danger, monsters, amazeballs characters and a beautiful cover. Thanks to Michelle Madow for writing another great book.

* You need to read the previous books to fully understand the story in this entry.

After slaying the vampire queen Laila, Annika knows her surely is more to her than she could have ever imagined. After fleeing to Haven and finding out not only more about herself, but also about the witch Geneva she is still carrying around in the sapphire ring, she is send on a quest for the Holy Grail. So when Jacen catches up to her, he joins her on the quest as their combined fate is destined to change the world forever in a way they cannot imagine.

Well, I cannot say anything else than that I'm happy to finish this at that means there is only one book left. Because again, this book was so flat and predictable just like it's characters. I was facepalming all the way through this and it just became so cringey the further I got through this. Yes, at least there is more explanation, but is was long overdue and therefore when we got it, it didn't matter anymore. Just one more book to go, let's see where and how this distaster dump-truck ends.

Review:

Characters: I seriously love the characters in this story. I mean, as much of an ax wound as Camelia is, there's a small part of me that really and truly wants her to have a happy ending, one that doesn't conflict with the more heroic characters that is. While for the most part, this is still Annika's story, and boy what a story it is, Karina definitely rules the second half of this book and the lengths that she'll go to to get her soulmate Peter back are staggering. Her mission takes a few twists and turns in this story and where it ended up had me gasping for air. Annika, after kind of, sort of, accidentally killing Queen Laila flees to the Haven where she learns of her Nephilim blood and what that means for her fate. She embarks on a dangerous quest that will determine the fate of the world and I loved every minute of it. Annika is a strong and capable character and watching her adjust to her newfound abilities, and her reactions to said abilities, is fantastic.

Romance: After the end of the previous installment, where Jacen learns that not only did Annika not die as he thought, but she deceived him for reasons he doesn't quite know or understand, their romance is sort of left up in the air. It doesn't take too long to know where things lie with these characters. The romance in this book isn't the building of relationships, in fact, all in all, most of the romances in this series have already been established and now they just get the chance to evolve and strengthen, or weaken should that be the case. I liked seeing Annika and Jacen interact truly as each other, and there were a few moments that really solidified why I root for them as a couple. As I said above, Karina will stop at next to nothing to be reunited with her soulmate, but she's bonded with Noah, the First Prophet, and that bond may or may not be romantic, throwing a possible wrench into her plans. Will she drop her mission to try and find love again, or will she risk it all for the smallest of chances to raise the dead?

World Building: So, I'll say that this story doesn't feel as much like filler (without actually being filler) as The Vampire Prince did, and honestly there is enough of a story for me to not even think of describing it as anything even adjacent to filler, but I did feel like there was something in this book. I think because I still feel like there's more to tell for just one more book, as this series is tentatively a five book series, and soon the whole it feels like it's missing something. As for what is in this story though, there's quite a bit. We learn a whole lot more about the Nephilim and the supernatural community at large. We learn more about the origins of certain supernatural(s) and there's some serious magic in this tale. Things are definitely coming to a head, though I was sad that there was no more plot progression on the cliffhanger twist at the end of the previous installment... maybe that's what was missing.

Predictability: In terms of things with actual foreshadowing to them, I pretty much nailed those "twists," I mean part of me doesn't even want to call them twists since the author's biggest twists don't usually have that much, if any, foreshadowing to them, and, well, this book had a few great twists. There are a few really interesting twists in this story that will be interesting to see explored as this series comes to a close and I can already see some seeds for the extensions to this world.

Ending: So, this ending is neither as anticlimactic as the previous one, nor does it have as mind-shattering of a cliffhanger. There is a cliffhanger, as this author loves to torture her readers, though she writes books quickly so it's not like there's a long wait, and this cliffhanger is more of one to really ponder on the ramifications rather than freak out over some big reveal. The final climax of this story is fantastic, and while I would have liked a bit less of a straight up cliffhanger on one character's story, overall I'm excited to see where this all leads.

Rating:

I'm honestly shocked I'm giving this book 5 stars, but looking back on it, even if there feels like something's off, it's not a big enough thing to get annoyed over since it probably won't be that long of a wait for the next (final?) book, and even though sometimes elements of this story might feel a tad derivative (something I didn't go into in this review to avoid spoilers) it's still a fun adventure and an exciting ride!

Full Review at: What's Beyond Forks?

There was a lot to this book and not just the action, but the characters.. We got to know them better and learned more about them too. I can feel for almost all of them in a way. Even the, well, I don't want to call them the bad guys, but the not so great ones? I can see why they are the way they are. Some I even care for a little bit now. There's depth to the character and world building of this series, and it gets better and more involved with each book.

The ARC of The Vampire Fate by Michelle Madow was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

I’m not sure why every time I got to the part I find interesting, it’s almost towards the end of the book with only about 40% left - Minus 12% for four chapters of Elementals series introduction. I’m referring to the part where Annika and Jacen start the adventure, looking for the Holy Grail. I want what little time they share, with just the two of them, to bond.

Maybe the book was just not long enough to satiate my desire to explore the Dark world and its supernatural habitants. Plus, it also has many characters with their tale to tell. So, I hope the next book will give me some satisfaction. Enough with the rambling. I shall get on to the last book and find out what destiny awaits the Vampires of Vale.

The vampire queen is dead.

THE VAMPIRE FATE , the fourth book in Vampire Wish . I didn’t think it was possible for the books to get any better, any more addictive. I should known by now. It keeps getting better as the series progresses. Just when you think it can’t get more addictive, MICHELLE MADOW finds a way to pull you back in. I love all her series, but I think that this one is one of my favorite series that she had written. I love the fact that it’s about Vampires, but not just that, I love how she put such unique twist to vampires in this series. I have read a few vampire series through the years, but none of them were anything like this one. As her other books in the end, there was another twist and I have a feeling that it cannot end well, not for Karina, not for Peter. Especially once he finds out the feelings that she has for Noah. I had feeling that there would be trouble when Fae asked Karina for her memories of Peter, in exchange of bringing back Peter from the dead. I had a bad feeling about it.

Annika, being a Nephilim when all of them supposed to be gone. That’s another unexpected twist. It does explain why Jacen couldn’t compel her when he just met her. I wonder if she slowly started to come into her powers then, without realizing it. Annika had been through so much, killing the Queen and then finding out what she was, I don’t know how she was able to handle it all. If I were in her situation, I would have a breakdown a long time ago. There only someone one person would be able to handle. Even Angel. I was happy that Jacen and Annika was finally be able to reunite and finally be together. I was hoping they would. After everything that the two of them went throught, it seemed as if something always seemed to get in a way. It made me happy that they could finally be with each other. I just hope that nothing gets in their way, to tear them apart.

Geneva, I had a like/dislike relationship with that character. There were times I liked her, but at times I felt that there was something off about her. Like Annika I wondered how she was getting that blood that Annika to keep her appearance. I guess I wasn’t too surprised to find that she kidnapped a Vampire Princess and two humans. What surprised me, was her and Laila. I did not see that coming, considering that she had agreed to help Annika get rid of the Queen. Once Annika killed her, I couldn’t figure out why all of sudden she became so cruel towards Annika. Now it all makes sense. Like Annika, I was in complete shock. Now that Laila is dead, I wonder what will happen with Geneva, if she will want to seek revenge. I am eager to see how all of this will come to an end. Yet, at the same time I don’t want to end.

Another astonishing addition to the Vampire Wish series.

First of all, I just want to say thank you to Michelle Madow for giving me an ARC of this book to read in exchange for an honest review. No compensation was given, offered, or taken to alter the opinion.

After the massive cliffhanger at the end The Vampire Trick, a major secret that changed everything we knew about Annika, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Vampire Fate. I love that this series always picks up right where the previous book left off. This series is full of action, magic, romance, supernatural characters, drama, excitement, and danger. What else could you ask for in a book series?! This installment is huge in the overall storyline. It answered a lot of questions and the answers will blow your mind! Not only does this book answer a lot of questions, but now we are left with some new ones. That ending....Holy cow!! If I have learned one thing from reading Michelle's books it's that you never know what to expect! I love this series because these books suck you in and you can't put them down! I finished reading this one in less than 24 hours and now I desperately need the next one!

There was so much going on that I still haven't completely wrapped my head around it. This installment was a series of small events that is leading us towards more epic adventure. Really, the bulk of this book was all of the characters reactions to what happened in the previous tome. The characters are trying to find answers. They're trying to find safety. Trying to find the truth. All of this leads to a new beginning leading towards a final ending of something that started long before any of us knew.

Another enjoyable book in this Vampire Wish series. These are great in that each picks up right where the last one left off and continues to be full of action, delightful characters and intrigue. I am so impressed with how quickly Michelle Madow can think up, write and release each book (which is awesome for us readers!). Looking forward to the next in the series!!

What a SAD ending! I haven’t exactly loved Karina though I respected her, and I desperately hope that it works out for her. Granted, what I know about the faerie books because I started with those, I at least know who the person she’s pining after (that isn’t peter) is going to mate with, and it isn’t her. I hope she gets what she’s wanted all along!

I read an ARC of the third book in this series just before it released, and I really enjoyed where the author took the storyline, so I was looking forward to reading this book and seeing where it went next! I then received an ARC of this book and I started reading it as soon as I could! After reading, I can say that I enjoyed this book just as much as the others! The plot developed at the perfect pace and I zoomed through it! I did think that this book was slightly longer than some of the others in the series, so it did take me a little longer to get through it! The plot also went in a direction that I wasn't really expecting, but I loved where the author took it and it did go in a direction that suited the story and characters! The plot also had a few twist and turns too and these really changed the plot! The romance was back in this book too, which I loved! There wasn't a lot of romance in the last two books, so I was really happy that it was back in this book! The characters were again amazing and made this book for me! Annika was again the main female character, and in this book there was a part of me that felt very sorry for her! She discovered more about herself and about what she was and this must have been very difficult for her! Annika did try her best to absorb this information and to embrace what she was and this made me respect her a lot! She was also very strong and she had come a long way from the girl introduced at the beginning of the first book! I also connected with Annika all the way through this book too and I didn't lose that connection with her! Jacen was again the main male character and love interest of Annika! I loved Jacen a lot in this book! He did try and be a bit sneaky with some of the characters, but it was to protect Annika and to give him the chance to find her! Jacen also never stopped trusting Annika and he showed her this by agreeing to go on a dangerous mission with her, even though they were going into the unknown! It was also easy to see that Jacen still had strong feelings for Annika and he definitely showed her just how much he missed her lol! This book was written from multiple point of views! I was obviously expecting this because the other books in the series were written from multiple point of views too! This book was mainly written from Annika's point of view, which was completely understandable, but some chapters were written from Jacen, Karina, Camelia and Thomas' point of views too! I really enjoyed this book being written from a few different point of views because it added more to the story and allowed for more things to happen in the plot! It helped me connect more with all the characters too! The ending of this book was also left at the perfect place to lead into the next book and it's left me excited for the next book! I also think that the next book is the final book, which does make me really sad, but I can't wait to find out how Annika's journey is going to end! I'm hoping that the next book releases in a few months time, so that I don't have to wait ages for it to release lol! The cover for this book is different to what I was expecting, but it suits the book! Big thank you to Michelle for an ARC of The Vampire Fate!

The plot of this book in the series was more interesting than the last two books and I really enjoyed it. I felt it was more on the level of book one. I am interested in finding out what happens to the characters and how a newly introduced character reacts.

While this book did have a bit of explaining what already happened, there was much less than the previous two books. However, there were a few chapters that had 4 or 5 characters explain what happened to another character back to back.
One detail I'm sure will help the plot in book 5 came across as cheesy, and that was the main character's new found "spidey sense." It just made things a little too easy, to the point that I had no doubt the character would win. which diminished any sense of "danger" in that last battle. I would have loved to see a flaw in her new powers.

This time I was not surprised to have it end at 88% as the author shove so much of another book in the back to puff up the page count. But it is a little jarring none-the-less when you're used to reading books that go at least until 95% before ending.

Unfortunately the only thing keeping this book from gaining more than 3 stars is the amount of errors I came across that pulled me out of the story.

Plot can carry a story (mostly), but paying attention to details and technical things is also important as those things can take a 5 star book and turn it in to a "just ok" book.

3.5 stars

This is the 4th book in the series and things are definitely moving. The issue that I find myself having is with the pace of this story. The multiple POV's make it difficult for seamless transitions and the story seems kind of, well, blocky. That's not really exactly what I'm trying to say but its close.

Without going into spoilers, the main female MC Annika has discovered what she really is and is sent on a journey. This is where things get a little wonky for me. She is supposedly going on a quest, yet as of this moment, there are several people and groups of supernaturals who were already aware of who and what she is and what her "destiny" is supposed to be. Quite convenient, isn't it?

I also didn't like Karina's quest. Bringing her love back from the dead, really? When has that ever turned out well. The foreshadowing on that was like a blinking neon sign. You just absolutely KNEW what the payment was going to be for that favor.....

Anyway, one book left. I purchased the entire complete series edition on Audible so I will definitely be finishing the series, but I'm not really sure if I would have invested the time if I didn't already have the complete audio series on hand. I probably would have, maybe. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an AMAZING conclusion. You never know....

This book is part of a series that requires you to read the previous 3 books, so you know who is who and what is what. I have written before about the great talent I find Michelle Madow has as an author. About her ability to be able to write emotions that feel so real you think there your own, and also about the limitless imagination she has. This series has all the marks of a mini tv series, I sit and wait for every book. I have become so invested in the characters that I need to know what happens next. In book 4 you once again find the main characters and read them all in the first person. This style gives you there thoughts, feelings and interpretations on the storyline. Therefore giving you the chance to find your personal favourite. We also find some new characters developing on the sidelines, there wasn't loads of input from them, but the tidbits we did receive are enough to know that some or maybe all, will develop into more as the series continues. There lies my crux, I don't want Any further books, I don't want any further spectacular cliffhangers, I want, no I need the series to end, as I cannot face another wait to find out the outcome of the characters journeys. I Get the book, I read the book, well past my bedtime I might add, I get all wound up, sitting with bated breath then pow !! Cliffhanger and end. So I say no, to all the citizens out there, let us band together and demand that Michelle Madow is bought forward and made to give us the ending to her series. Ok. Got a little carried away there. But as you can see I have found this to be an exciting, thought provoking series, with distrust, betrayal, mystery, suspense along with friendship, love, support, belief and so much more. The places you are transported to are so easy to see, it's like you are a fly on the wall, watching everything transpire. So to sum up, books are great, they are in the right genre and age group ( ok, well I may be a bit
Older, but this is my guilty pleasure) They have great storylines. I'm sure you find more than one favourite character. And they have explosive cliffhangers. Sorted. Now we just need Ridley Scott, Steven Spielberg, even Jensen Ackles to take an interest and we sorted. Ok this fandom is getting bit spooky now.
"Get the Series" now.

This exciting tale continues in the fourth and penultimate book in the Vampire Wish series. Once again, our perspective switches between the two main characters, and also occasionally one of the side characters. Michelle Madow artfully weaves the plot together as we see it through different peoples' eyes. Annika's secret is finally out - Jacen and all the others at court know she was pretending to be Princess Ana, with the help of Geneva, the most powerful sorceress who ever lived. Now, that witch is trapped in a sapphire ring, and is bound to do the bidding of whoever possesses it. That's Annika. At the end of the last book, Laila, the vampire queen, challenges Annika to kill her, handing her a stake. Unbeknownst to any of them, Annika is actually a Nephilim, the only type of being who can kill an original vampire. Laila's arrogance becomes the cause of her demise. Annika quickly escapes to the Haven, a place where violence is forbidden. Jacen comes after her, promising his family he will kill her after procuring Geneva's ring. Of course, he has no intention of doing so. He still loves Annika, despite her deception. Can the two of them find a way to bring peace to the realm? With werewolves poised for an attack and the entire royal family out to get Annika, it's going to take something extraordinary.

At the end of the last book, I wasn't sure where the plot could go. The queen was dead, Annika was exposed - it seemed like the end of the story. Once again, Michelle Madow proves that there's always more to the story, and that the tale isn't nearly finished. The plot moves at a steady pace, keeping the reader engaged. The characters are well developed, and because we see through alternating eyes, we understand the motives of the heroes, the villains, and the characters who may or may not turn out to be allies at the end of the day. I can't wait to see how the tale concludes in the next and final book of the series.

I volunteered to review an ARC of this novel

The plot twist at the end of the third book was epic and I was so excited to start this one. In THE VAMPIRE FATE, we learn that Annika is a Nephilim, which means she's part angel. She's also the only one who can destroy an original vampire, which is why Laila is dead. I'm not upset about that at all.

Annika escapes to the Haven, knowing that they strive for peace and abstain from violence. When she gets there, she meets a prophet who foresaw her arrival and tells Annika that she's the only one who can save the world. Something evil is coming and while we aren't told what, I have a feeling it's the demon from the third book. When she's told she can bring one person on this quest, her heart screams for Jacen. He's the only one she can truly trust. Their relationship has been rocky, but their feelings can't be ignored.

There are a lot of secrets exposed in THE VAMPIRE FATE and I loved every moment of it. In this one, more questions are answered and we learn why Jacen wasn't able to compel Annika in the first book. Michelle Madow does an excellent job at tying all of the books together while keeping the reader's interest.

Final Verdict: This series hasn't disappointed me yet. Usually when the series goes past three books, then it loses my interest. Not this one. This series has me excited for more from our characters Jacen, Annika, and Korina. I highly recommend this series to fans of supernatural creatures, especially vampires. In THE VAMPIRE FATE, we're finally introduced to the fae so this book officially has it all: vampires, werewolves, fae, psychics, and shifters-both wolf and tiger.

2.5 ... maaaaaaybe 3 stars.

The constant infodumping by the FMC and MMC gets old SO fast. So this book picks up with Annika having slain the vampire queen by shoving a stake through her heart which she shouldn't have been able to do but apparently she's some kind of ancient creature's lineage (nephilim) and her magic lay dormant though someone who was in the room saw the golden rings around her eyes (in the middle of killing a queen apparently) so yep that's what she is. And now if I see the word "instincts" one more time I might just poke my own eyes out. The constant regurgitation of info is annoying... it's far enough in a series that you shouldn't need to constantly spoon feed your readers as if they haven't read the prior books -- we don't need you to dumb it down for us.

I'm not a super fan of the "insta love" and apparently I'm not a fan of the "insta powers" too -- it seems too easy.

And the foreshadowing of the fae taking your memories... but the princess wanting to trade all of hers for her man... but now you're creating a love triangle... from someone who kind of seems like a nobody.

Why didn't we go further into the two MC's conversation and relationship... that seems like it would be so much more important.

I'm too vested and want to know how it all ends so I'll definitely slog through but this is totally a YA book... I need to remind myself of that.

I received a free copy of this book straight from Michelle, so thank you so much! This is my review.

The penultimate book in this wonderful series! This is probably my favourite series by Michelle to date. Each character is exciting, vibrate and on their own mission.

After the cliffhanger that was book 3, I knew this novel would deliver. There are more adventures, obstacles, and mysteries. Michelle is such a wonderful writer, you just devour her books, and she keeps you wanting more.

As always I read this novel in one sitting, I love the characters from the previous novels, and I love the twists and turns this installment makes. I need more already!

I'm already anticipating the next and final installment in this series. I love Annika as a character. She is relateable, flawed and sometimes just down right crazy with the choices she makes. Jacen, ahh what can I say about a swoon-worthy guy who is also incredibly nice, sweet and helpful. They are the perfect duo.

I can't wait to see what happens next!

The Vampire Fate is the fourth book in the Dark World series and once again it's full of action that will never disappoint. The book picks up right where the previous book ended - the vampire queen Laila is dead - killed by Annika which should have been an impossible task. Yet somehow she did it, and no one is more surprised than Annika herself. Immediately she fled and is now a fugitive.

More is revealed in this book as Annika tried to get answers while Jacen worked his way towards Annika. The pull between them is just irresistible and I absolutely love reading about them two. Annika was told that she is to embark on an adventure of a lifetime, which she bravely took on and will be facing dangers she's never dreamed of.

Meanwhile, Karina had a quest of her own which saw her travelling around the world in search of what she wants. Of course it is not without risk and danger to achieve what she wants, but is it really worth it in the end?

Looking forward to the next book in this series!

Michelle Madow is such a creative writer! First of all the characters. The Main Characters in the fourth book of this series are Annika, Jacen, and Katrina. In this book we finally get to see Annika and Jacen make it official and finally get together. We see Katrina doing everything possible to get Peter, and she does. Then she forgets him and goes to tell another man she loves him even though she sacrificed so much for Peter. I hope that Katrina will remember Peter, or not get together with Noah. Second the plot. This plot was unexpected especially with Annika being Nephilim. I love the idea of her going on a quest to find the Holy Grail. I also was so happy when she chose Jacen to come with her because she knew he would protect her! Lastly I like that we get introduced to new things in each book for example in this one we learn more about Geneva's past and we learns she was in love with the queen. We also learned about the mage who witches are originally from. In conclusion this book is such a easy fun fantasy read that I totally recommend for beginners to fantasy!

As a brand new blood slave, Annika must survive her dangerous new circumstances—or face death from the wolves prowling the Vale’s enchanted walls. But sparks fly when she meets the vampire prince Jacen. She hates the idea of falling for the enemy, but her connection with the mysterious prince could be the key to her freedom.

The stories are very predictable, and over the top unbelievable...even for paranormal. It is appropriate for YA readers. There was only one curse word in the entire series ,there were two sex scenes (fairly clean, no intimate details other than a mention of the man entering the woman)

The characters were not relatable especially Karina. There were no big reveals and even the main characters lacked passion and depth. I was hoping for a big fight scene at the end but there was none. Camilla was the most interesting character in this story as she plotted and back stabbed her way through the series.

OMG! Could this get any better?

After killing Laila, Annika found out that she was a Nephilim and had Geneva transport her to the Haven for safety. Queen Mary was waiting for her arrival for years. Her destiny was to go on a dangerous quest and she accepted. Prince Jacen followed her there and talked things over ( the truth triumphs!) and she asked him to go with her on this quest. Princess Karina follows her there because she wants to make a request for Geneva to bring her dead husband Peter back from the dead. Can you believe it! That's all she thinks about. Boy is she in for a rude awakening.

Hold on to your seats my friends because you are in for a bumpy ride. This book is fantastical and magical and full of all kinds of crazy good stuff. What can I say, you just have to read it! Five stars.

Ok, this has been one heck of a wild and crazy ride so far, and things are not gonna calm down at all. I mean, c’mon Annika freaking killed the vamp queen. Who saw that coming? It was supposed to have been impossible for anyone not a Nephilim to do (which is hard since they’re extinct)! But did it she did and now everything is coming to a head as everyone is out to get her and the only way to freakin’ save the world is to team u with Jacen and find ... wait for it. ... the freakin’ Holy Grail.

Thrills and adventure with fantastic twists and turns ensue. If you’ve been following along with this series you will adore this book. If you’re new then please go back and start with the wonderful book 1 and build up to this one. You won’t regret it.

Highly recommended.
