An extremely simplistic and facile presentation that offered little substance.

To say that I was underwhelmed is an overstatement.

This was a very interesting book, but I think it is a stretch to characterize people by the shape of their face, or their eye placement. I think the body language is more a window into intentions than a persons physical makeup.

I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.

The only way I can truly describe this book is brain boggling! Every aspect was really fascinating and new to me.

There are 20 quick and easy information-packed lessons that explained each concept clearly covered in the book. Albeit, more in overview form. However, it still gives you a better understanding that you may not have otherwise had. At the end of each topic of lessons, there was a “toolbox” feature which evaluated what you just learned which was a useful reflection. Also, as it is a short bundle of information, there is further learning which leads to some more books, videos and even places to visit on the topic!

I was shown several different aspects of behaviour and communication in several different contexts from the intentions of one person, to how we talk to each other in only 3 different manners (adult, parent & child), and how group thinking is not always to our benefit. In fact, it can be to our detriment.

This book was a short, but information filled read. There was lots of information on communication, how it works as well as helpful suggestions on how to help improve it. Taking into account different aspects of communication, from expressions and emotions to personalities and human nature, this book covered a wide variety of topics. However, some of the information is a bit unsettling and more theoretical so you are told to take it with “caution”.

I personally find human behaviour and how we communicate very fascinating so learning how aspects like confidence and how you dress can reflect more than just outwardly. This made me think about myself and how I outwardly express how I feel. As I said at the beginning, this book is brain boggling!

I found Read People to be interesting and well-presented. The book is based on Behavioral Psychology, giving cues on how to understand the behavior of others which then enables you to communicate with them in a more productive manner. It's value is proportional to how much background you already have in the subject matter.

I really liked the way the information was presented. The book is made up of 5 sections with 20 lessons overall. The sections/lessons can be read sequentially, or in any manner you choose. Each section presents the material in the following way:

> Build - gives an introduction to the important concepts of the lessons in the section
> Become - explains how to apply the lessons
> Toolkits - help you keep track of what you've learned so far
> Further Learning - lists additional resources if you would like to read further

This book can be helpful to anyone who likes to understand others and would be a helpful addition to one's business library.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Aurum Press for allowing me to read the book in exchange for an unbiased review. All opinions expressed are strictly my own.

I was sent a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

First of all, I really like this series even though this is only the second book I read from it.

Read People is focusing on, well, reading people and understanding behaviors, crowd behavior and so on. Just like the other books in this series, the information you get is succinct and on point, providing you with an essential start and in you case you want to further explore the topic then each chapter offers recommendations (books or videos) on how to do so.

It was a lot of fun, although not as engaging as the previous book - and I know I shouldn't compare them because the topic is different, but they follow the same pattern. Still a nice read!

Really nice book, intro to social psychology.

The thing I really like about this book is the interactiveness on top of the interesting topics. Throughout the chapters you are provided ways to implement the new found knowledge into your life. Another thing I appreciate are citations and guide to written/video works that further expand on the topic. This book is far from boring aswell as it's littered with colorful charts / images that further expand on whatever topic is at hand, leaving the reader engaged.

I plan on purchasing from this company and author more.

This book is short as it is designed to give essential information on the topic. For further exploration, the author provided additional resources by the end of each chapters.

This book is informative; and while it is short, it was able to present fascinating findings to the readers who don’t have much background on the subject. This book is recommended to readers who are interested in the topic without wanting to do more research.

Honestly, I kind of love it for what it is. A little book that explains a little bit of human behavior. Quick and easy to read, but still stimulating. A good weekend book if I want to revisit it. I do wish there was more to the book though, more information.. there's quite a bit of wasted pages on book quotes and decoration, makes it read like a magazine - but I think I bought it for $3 at 5 below, so of course it's a book that reads like a magazine.

Me, personally I really liked the book. There were a lot of interesting things covered in the book such as micro-expressions, the hormone oxytocin or groups of people which was very interesting new information.

The book covered topics going from individual to a group and everything in between.

However, what I didn't like about the book that all the information was a general overview and not a lot of depth in the many different topics that were covered.

This book is easy to read, has good amount of information to give an overview, which is great for beginners who want to know a bit more about body languages relating to psychology. The illustrations within the book are quite lovely and relevant, the book also lists out some useful videos and other book references that we can read upon. Overall, this is a lovely light book to read!

I found this to be a well done overview of the basics of phycology/understanding human behavior patterns. While a 160 page book can only go so far, what is covered seems well researched and it was fun to read about. I loved all the diagrams, and that every chapter ended with recommendations for further reading on the subject.

I don't know what I think about this book. It is not bad but it would be better. I do not regret having read it, I know more than before I read it. In this book there are some topics and curiosities that are worth your attention, so buy it. The book can always be sold🙂

This book is written more for people learning, rather than a book that is easy to follow and help a person. I did understand it, it did not tell me anything that I do not know already.

Almost like a brief summary of every theory in a social psychology text book. Summarized in an interesting way though. The tool kit and reading list is useful reference material.
