Das inoffizielle Harry-Potter-Buch der Verwünschungen: 101 Möglichkeiten, dich gegen fiese Slytherins zu wehren

Rate this book

This book truly is a must for any Harry Potter fans....so much so that I'm waiting for it in paperback (please) so I can buy it as a gift for various family members.

Harry Potter Insults Handbook is ideal if, like me, you find it hard to sit down for one long sitting. I don't get a lot of time to read, but this little handbook is perfect for a quick Harry Potter pick-me-up. There are some awesome insults and you're drawn back into the magical wizarding world immediately. I'm still waiting for my Hogwarts letter, but when it comes I'm not well armed with plenty of Slytherin insults! :)

This is stupid humor for Potter enthusiasts. I read most it out loud to various Potter-fan family members. Good clean fun. Lame and funny at the same time.

Awesome awesome AWESOME

I never have been bullied, but if I ever do, ill have loads of comebacks-whether they understand them or not-when I need them. This book is perfect for people getting bullied or for showing your siblings who's boss! $3? Worth it!!!

Made me laugh out loud. A few misspellings but otherwise a cute addition to the Harry Potter World.

Favorite Quotes:

1. "Every time I get close to a Dementor, I'm forced to relive our every encounter." (Page 13)

2. "You don't ever have to worry about someone slipping you a love potion." (Page 25)

3. "When I look in the Mirror of Erised, everything is the same - you're just not there." (Page 31)

4. "You're so dumb you joined the Death Eaters because you were hungry." (Page 31)

5. "You're so dumb you thought the Dark Mark was in your underwear." (Page 37)

6. "The Room of Requirement would just supply you with a paper bag." (Page 42)

Rate Procedure:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I loved the book so much I would reread it again and would recommend to a friend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Thoroughly enjoyed the book, could not put it down, would recommend to a friend, but do not need to read again.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Probably a good book that I enjoyed but there was something about it I did not love (e.g. The writing style, the POV, etc.). I would only recommend to a friend if it was their "type" of book.
⭐️⭐️ - A book I have below average feelings for and it would not come with a recommendation from me but I would mention it in conversation if related to the book topic at issue.
⭐️ - I finished the book but I hated every second of it.

I loved the concept that this book can be used for kids that are being bullied today. It makes it easier for them to understand and accept when it is put in a fantasy world context such as Harry Potter. At first I thought a lot of the insults were very abrupt but then again children need to be able to stand up for themselves. I loved that on one of the pages it mentioned not to snitch on other kids because it can lead to retaliation but instead it suggested saying something back and standing up for themselves. I really appreciated this especially because bullying is becoming more and more prevalent now a days.

A perfectly fun, 30-minute read. It definitely feels unofficial throughout, but as someone who bought both of Mugglenet's books, that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's funny (even if a bit mean), but it lets readers spend a bit more time in JKR's magical world and gives them an opportunity to imagine delivering a zinger at a bully like Malfoy.

I absolutely loved this book and have used and shared these insults with friends. There is an insult for everyone, and is enjoyed by those who don't love Harry Potter as much as me! Hufflepuff forever!

I recommend this book for someone who was bullied is mature enough to not copy the insults, but understand the theme.

This was seriously a fun book! And... some of those insults were savage! 😂 It’s a quick and fun read for Harry Potter fans. I’m thinking I’ll be adding these insults into my life now.

This book was cute, but it wasn’t worth the read to me. Obviously I think a younger audience would enjoy it regardless, but I think I as an adult would have enjoyed it more had there been more content.

this is what happens when bored people have access to the internet: they end up buying this book. I did have a good chuckle or two but maybe I'm already to old for some of these. Still fun if you're a Harry Potter fan

Cute

This book is fairly short and cute. The comebacks are mostly juvenile - but funny for for most HP fans.

A cute little read full of Harry Potter related insults. My favorites: even Dobby wouldn't touch your socks. You're so ugly even a dementor wouldn't kiss you.
