Lumberjack and Sasquatch are best of friends! As the seasons pass they help each other while having fun - great book for children that has a message of friendship with those who are different from us. This book really helps small children understand that it is fine to be friends with someone who is different.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
This book is a book told in pictures with just one word on each page of each family member (Ma, Pa, Sister etc). The book shows the family and the sasquatch through the year enjoying different reasons and events together as a family.
I enjoyed the pictures in this book as the art work is fantastic. I just wish it would have had more words to it.

Two unlikely friends share four seasons of fun and adventures together.
There's just one word for each spread in this. But don't let the sparseness make you think it's an easy read, words like forage and climb are mixed in here. It might be a good one for kids branching out in their vocabulary who normally get overwhelmed with lots of words. Also a good one for kids learning their seasons. And of course, just pick this one up for the fun. It is quite enjoyable to watch all the activities and misadventures the two unlikely friends get up to through four seasons. The illustrations are absolutely delightful and done in eye-catching vibrant colors.

For such a mouthful of a title, the text is surprising sparse with one word per spread. This books covers the relationship, from strangers to friends, of a sasquatch and a lumberjack over the course of four seasons.
This book is delightful, with little details that make the illustrations come to life. For example, I loved that the Sasquatch had a camera on or near him at all times, documenting their adventures. And who doesn’t love an unlikely friendship story?

I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. My two and a half year old Godchild and I really enjoyed the book! It was fun to sit and come up with out own story based on the illustrations. It allowed her imagination to run wild while still enjoying the overall "story". I was skeptical of the book at first, but now I love this style of guided storytelling.

A cute book about a sasquatch and a lumberjack who meet and become friends. The book goes through each season and various activities related to that season (hike, swim, slide, pick apples). There is one word on each spread that sums up the picture, so the text is very, very simple.
However, the pictures are very cute. I loved all of the detail in them. Nicely done with great colors.
While there isn't much story in this book, it does have really interesting and engaging illustrations.

This is a book of few words - one word per two page spread, and fun illustrations! Sasquatch and the Lumberjack start out as strangers, and make their way through the year together, becoming friends. The seasons go by, with a few seasonal activities depicted for each, from Autumn to Summer, and it's fun to examine what creatures and things show up in each two page set. This would make a great lap book for exploration and chatting between you and your kiddo, small friend, grandchild, or what-have-you.

Each page has only one word to accompany the picture. Unfortunately, that word is written in all CAPITAL LETTERS which I didn't understand. The book follows 2 strangers through a year as they become friends. Time is marked by seasons and therefore activities changing (from apple picking to skiing to roasting marshmallows to swimming). Although I don't mind a book with so few words, the story in this case was lacking and the word choice didn't elicit strong emotions.

I was a goodreads giveaway winner of this book. "The Sasquatch and the Lumberjack" is a children's book. It is about a Lumberjack who meets Sasquatch and they become friends. Through out the four seasons they go on all kinds of adventures. A cute book with very few words. Mostly a picture book. Would be very good for small children.

These books are all about the illustrations. And it’s the illustrations that make them so wonderful. There are many of these pictures I would hang on my wall. Each page shows one word and something the Sasquatch and the the lumberjack are doing together. And while the words are simple, it’s the illustrations that bring everything to life. Seriously art for my walls is needed immediately.

Really fun stand-alone illustrations. Other than the progression of the seasons and the first illustration being "strangers" and the last being "friends" there doesn't seem to be any storyline here. You could put the pictures in almost any order without changing the effect of the book.

Fairly simple book but the artwork is very vibrant and wonderfully detailed. Young children enjoy coming up with their own stories for picture books and I think this book will give them plenty to discuss.

The text consists of one work per two-page illustration. Sasquatch and Lumberjack start out at strangers, but as the season change they hang out together and become friends. Cute and quick book.

nice use of language. Children who love America's favorite urban legend will enjoy this. Nice turn that it is the Sasquatch who holds the camera.

Super cute illustrations. Only a single word on the page, giving the illustrations a chance to really shine. It's kind of fun to spot the mouse on every page.
