151 pgs. Interesting episode involving outer space, more wacky inventions and helpful robots who know so much more than humans. The plot moves along as Frank tries to rescue his grandfather through a possible time-warp. Lots of wacky adventures throughout and loads of humor. Kids will enjoy this one, too. There is additional information at the end of the book on space/universe topics. recommended for Grade 5.
What an odd little book. I can’t imagine many children would like it. I should have known better. Any book that has NY Times bestseller on the cover means run away!! This is my go-to advice to myself :). An infallible rule; always works. I should have stuck to it.
A two for my enjoyment, but I think for the right kid it could be a winner. The science was a bit too full-on educational at times for any reader without a proper interest in the topic. And also complicated! So even though the storyline is very much junior, the concepts push it into middle grade.
The final book in the series. My students enjoy these and I can use them for read alouds to connect to what I’m teaching. Overall a great series with mostly likes me characters. Not sure how I feel about Mr. Chimp in this one :/.
Sometimes you pick up random children's book at the library because they look cute. This was. Fun little story (sometimes a bit scattered) with some basic astronomy thrown in.
A nice ending to a great series. I already miss reading these! They were a perfect mix of fun/over the top whimsy and science facts. So fun to read out loud with silly robot and evil voices, plus I got to practice sign language.
