Jaguar shifter Stella Moore has one thing on her mind - to take down the anti-shifter organization that destroyed her family. Her plans are going perfectly until a sexy-as-sin stranger throws off her game and decides the only way they can both avoid getting caught is to claim her as his girlfriend. Wait! What? Now she has to fly to a tropical island and play along because the alternative is...deadly.
Most people know Cole Turner as an uber-wealthy playboy - not as a tiger shifter who's part of a special ops team to protect his kind. Now his undercover mission has been compromised by a redheaded bombshell, and every animal instinct he has is screaming mate. To survive among so many enemies, they'll have to keep up their romantic act, find their intel... and absolutely not fall in love along the way.
For some reason I really struggled with reading and finishing this novel. I think it was a case of "it's not you, it's me" which related to having characters who were shape shifters. I don't typically read novels featuring main characters that are shape shifters and due to that, I felt out of my element. At this point, even though I read many novels with a variety of creatures, I don't know if stories with shapeshifters are for me. Apparently it's more abstract to me than vampires (which is really odd when you think about it).
Another element of the story that I had difficulty with was the introduction of a "mate" to the plot. Now, THAT is something I have a lot of experience reading about. Some positive experiences, some negative experiences. However, I think "Breaking Dawn" and Jacob Black specifically (no spoilers here) have ruined it for me. Most of the time I negatively attribute the term "mate" with creepy and possessive. Again, it was not the fault of the novel at all but once I knew there was a "mate" process involved in the story, I was kind of weirded out.
Unfortunately, this novel just wasn't the one that was for me. I had difficulty with elements in the story (as mentioned above) but I also found that the story didn't grip me either. I found myself getting distracted easily and putting down the book frequently because I wasn't invested.
I will say for those that decide to pick this novel up that even though it's a sequel, it read fine as a standalone. Yes, I'm sure it includes characters from that first novel and this novel may spoil the initial novel's storyline but I didn't feel lost in this specific story.
***Thank you to Forever Publishing for sending me a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review***
REREAD 2025: After many, many years, I have revisited Tiger's Claim. I'm happy I was able to see Kyle's sifter world again. I've been feeling nostalgic about reading lately. Cole and Stella were fun a second time around.
I tried for almost a week to get into this book, but I'm going to have to wave the white flag here. I'm 40% in and still struggling, so I think it's safe to say that this book just isn't for me.
I liked it. It continues the story that is set up in the first book in the Shifter Rogues series, so that would be helpful to read first IMO. The action is good, the humor works, I just wish I enjoyed Cole and Stella’s relationship as much as I enjoyed Declan and Abby. Still, if you’re into shifters with some action/adventure thrown into the mix, you may enjoy this.

There are a lot of books out there that are good for a night but not for a long term relationship.
Do I sound like a typical manwhore? Perhaps. Just call me a bookwhore.
I skip out on all the ones that don't interest me enough. I mean, "sure, you attracted me enough that I fell asleep listening to you... but is it my fault you're shallow and boring?"
Moving on to my next book. This one just don't got LTR vibes.
This was my first book by Celia Kyle but the second book in her Shifter Rogues series. Jumping into the second book of a paranormal series is always a risk. Luckily, TIGER’S CLAIM stands alone well, even with its intricate plot and multitude of characters. This book follows Stella, a jaguar shifter with a vendetta, and Cole, a tiger shifter and member of a special ops team.
As a whole, I enjoyed the story. Cole and his team have a hilarious and slightly crude sense of humor. The plot, for the most part, moved at a nice clip and there was a good amount of action. I like the shifter world that Ms. Kyle has created, and I thought she explained it well throughout the story. This book was half shifter romance and half special teams operation and I think the two mixed really well.
The Cons: while I did enjoy Cole and Stella’s romance, I couldn’t really deal with Stella herself. Her impulsive and often selfish actions annoyed me to no end. I understand making mistakes, but she willfully puts others in danger for her own agenda and it left a bad taste in my mouth. There were also a few times where the plot lagged and the humor got in the way. I had to reread often because the jokes were overlaying critical plot points and I kept on getting lost.
Overall, I did like the book, and I will continue on in the series. I am hoping to pick up the first book and then continue on when the third is released. If you’re looking for a light, quick paranormal romance, this book is for you!
**I received an ARC of this book in order to provide an honest review**
TIGER'S CLAIM was a decent paranormal romance with good action, humor, and an interesting plot. The romance part of this story was the weak link. I really enjoyed the idea of an elite team of super soldier shifters carrying out James Bond like spy missions complete with cool gadgets. And yes, I've read books with super soldier shifter teams before and always welcome a new take on the idea. This story felt unique in it's own right and was engaging and really funny. TIGER'S CLAIM shines in it's humor and when it is focusing on the deadly action, intrigue, and the brothers-in-arms relationships between the team.
Unfortunately, the romance between Cole and Stella was not great. My biggest issue was Stella and her utter stupidity and lack of self-preservation. I got she was full of vengeance for her family's deaths but each time she went full into danger after literally every professional soldier tells her no because she will die and/or mess up their carefully planned mission, I wanted them to just leave her to her own fate. Their relationship was cute and I felt the connection between the two which is what you are supposed to feel in a romance. Granted her rather large mistakes did have me questioning Cole's relationship choices a few times. Basically I hope Stella stays in the office in future books.
I enjoyed meeting Cole's teammates who seem like a bunch of hilarious guys and I am interested to see future books focus on them. Hopefully the next romance has me rooting for both of the characters to make it out intact and happily ever after.
What a phenomenal story! I absolutely love the characters! The gang is all back together and just as annoying as ever, in that kid brother keeps poking me kind of way, and another one falls at the hands of fate. The author really brought her A game with this story, keeping the action high and the emotions higher. I love that these two fought so hard on the road to their HEA. They each had their own goals, and what they thought was the right way to meet them, but by the end they were both on the same page. I enjoyed the intrigue of a future romance, and of betrayal, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series! I just know it’s going to be amazing!
I can't tell you how excited I was to read Tiger's Claim. I loved the first book along with the novella and waited patiently (not really) for this one. It's hard to wait when you can't wait to read something. It's like waiting for Santa on Christmas.
The day finally came and all I can say is that I LOVED IT!!!! I would say I was overreacting but I really don't feel like I am. This is a five star read for me. That's how much I liked it and if you check my Goodreads you'll see I don't hand out those babies often.
One of my two favorite shifters happen to be tigers so this one really hit my heart. I love me a cuddly tiger! Cole really warmed my heart. He was so tough and sweet at the same time! I just couldn't not like him.
I liked Stella too. I understood where she was coming from and felt for her past. She lost so much that it's great that she found someone like Cole to be on her side. She also had his team of merry crazy men.
I love these guys!
Tiger's Claim is very well written and you will find yourself lost in the story and left wanting to have many more. I really didn't want to read this one quickly I didn't want it to end. But like everything it ended and I was slightly sad. Not that I have to long to wait till the next one, I think it's coming out in July. What a wonderful Christmas in July for me.
Believe me when I say that this is a author you really need to try. She writes wonderful stories with great characters.
Tiger’s Claim is the second story in the Shifter Rogues series. It “could” be read on its own, yet if you can I would strongly suggest starting at the beginning with Wolf’s Mate since there are threads that connect all the books with team mates and a specific villain organization. You’ll understand nuances better, get a better feel for the closeness between the members of this team and their eventual mates, as well as see the evil that is Unified Humanity in all of its nasty piece of crap-ness, in my opinion.
We met Cole, along with the rest of the team in Declan and Abby’s story, Wolf’s Mate. He’s just a bit jealous of what Abby and Declan have, although he’d walk through a rose garden, thorns and all, naked, before admitting that to anyone else or maybe even himself. While a part of him longs for a mate, his missions are dangerous and if he’s learned anything from watching Declan’s frantic actions when Abby was in danger… well, he’s not so sure he wants that distraction. Yeah. Sure. Right up until he meets his own mate, jaguar shifter, Stella Moore. And while it might take a while for that light bulb to go off, he knows Stella is more important to him than she should be.
Stella has waited what seems like a life time to take her revenge on the man, the organization that destroyed her family. Now she’s just about to pounce when tiger shifter, Cole Turner gets in her way and her life. Plans might have changed, but her purpose never waivers… she will sink her claws into an evil beyond comprehension and end its life. Just maybe she didn’t expect others to be doing the same, have better plans and backups or that finding her mate would throw a huge wrench into those plans of hers.
Tiger’s Claim is intense, full of banter, puzzles, sexy times and more possibilities for the team members. Stella and Cole are intriguing, often at cross purposes and fighting each other on many levels, especially acknowledging they are mates. We’ll get a glimpse of the next team member to fall for his mate, catch up with all the members of this team… and perhaps sense what is brewing for the next story and beyond. Time will tell. I enjoyed Tiger’s Claim, Stella and Cole are likable, I simply didn’t feel the connection with them that I did with Declan and Abby. I don’t know why, there is nothing blatant that shows me why, I simply didn’t. But that does not take away from an intense story that will keep you turning pages until the end. I’d definitely recommend this series to any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader. Now the wait for the next story.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
PNR always has been and always will be my weakness. But even more so are PNR books whose main characters are shape shifters. All time favorite trope right there! And Celia Kyle did an amazing job.
I didn't know at the time (its the second time I do that in two months #facepalm) that this was the second book in a series. This time however that wasn't a problem, the book can be easily read as a stand alone.
Cole is a moody broody tiger shifter and member of SHOC, Shifters Operation Command. Him and his team are trying to take down Unified Humanity, a company that is against shifters. During his operation he catches a jaguar shifter trying to plant explosives at a Unified Humanity event. His only way to save her ass is to say she is his girlfriend. Stella is set on killing the man behind Unified Humanity, he is responsible for her family's demise and she will have her vengeance.
There was definitely plenty of chemistry between the main characters and I liked the mixture of action, adventure, and relationship development the book offered. Their strong personalities caused a lot of arguments between the two but it was sweet how they got together and apologized to each other. The banter between Cole and his team mates was a nice touch, it added humour to a rather serious plot. The story needed that and it worked perfectly.
The only reason it is not a 5 for me is that the story got interrupted a few times to focus on a another character and the person that will likely be his mate in the next book. I would have preferred if the book had focused more on Cole and Stella. We didn't learn a lot about him, there were glimpses of what his family is like and that was it. But, it was great book nonetheless, a solid 4.5/5!
The hero and heroine in this explosive romance has some serious chemistry going – chemistry that sparks flying, fuses being lit and even some fiery explosions. Stella and Cole are strong, passionate characters that demand readers’ attentions and their romance is very feisty to say the least. Both characters have an agenda and love just doesn’t fit into their plans at the moment, especially as they just may be at cross purposes. So the relationship is an emotional, turbulent and sometimes volatile ride that keeps readers smiling and even chuckling at Stella and Cole. Of course, the ribbing and snark between Cole and his fellow Rogues is also highly amusing even as readers become completely caught up in the danger they face.
The plot is fast paced, flows smoothly and keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of thrilling suspense and adrenaline pumping action as the team go up against the anti-shifter organization. With surprising twists, headstrong shifters and a sizzling romance, the situation is dire and full of tension that is further complicated by the mating instincts of this couple. The author brings all of her wonderful characters and exciting world to life with vivid imagery that makes it easy for reader’s to become enthralled with the story and since all of the characters have some odd quirks, the story has a realistic feel to it during the excitement of the mission and during the ups and downs of the relationship between Cole and Stella. There is never a dull moment to be found during this story which means readers don’t want to put the book down until they have read every last detail.
"Tiger's Claim" is a paranormal romance novel that reads like an action-pack thriller!
This is the second book in the "Shifter Rogues" series, but this is book is pretty much a stand-alone work with a few throwbacks to the first book that helps with the narrative. The story focuses on Cole and Stella, two stubborn shifters who have the same goal. Forced to work together in the "mission" to take on an anti-shifter organization, we learn more of what Cole, Declan, and Ethan do for the shifter community. At the same time, love blossoms between Cole and Stella and it's both believable and silly. It works in this story because the author makes sure that the action, the subplot of the story, comes up again and again. As someone who enjoys action movies and spy novels, I found myself enjoying this book, throughly.
My only complaint is that it becomes obvious that the subplot will "continue with the next book." I guess that makes the series believable because things don't resolve themselves within a short period of time. That being said, I can't wait to continue with the spy aspect of this series!
I've heard of Celia Kyle, but "Tiger's Claim" is the first book by her that I've read, and I've enjoyed it! Now, I realize why Celia Kyle's books are so popular, and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of them!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I don’t have this book yet, but I own most of Celia’s books! I need to get to reading them all!
The cover is beautiful and intense with both beasts staring us down!
This is the 2nd book in this series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content. I recommend reading both books, so you know the characters and world better.
I couldn’t put this book down! It was action and drama galore. Stella’s story definitely pulls at heart strings and brings out Cole’s protective side. I love the snarky and funny banter between the boys when they are working. It makes the story more awesome when you have that kind of humor. I love action-packed stories like this where there are bad guys like UH to hate, and good guys like SHOC who rock at messing with the jerks. I can’t wait to see what happens next with the team!! I’m wondering if Grant and Lottie have a story of their own….keeping my fingers crossed!
I highly recommend to any shifter fans who love awesome shifters fighting against the bad guys!! I need to read more of Celia’s work because she style speaks to me!
Rogue Shifters #2, I knew from the first book with how dickish Cole acted toward Declan trying to lure Abby away that he would get his comeuppance when it came to his book and boy does Stella lead him on a merry chase. I would recommend reading Wolf's Mate first just because it has an ongoing story arc. Third person POV that switches from Cole's perspective to Stella's with a couple of chapters from Grant which means I am going to assume the next book is his, and with what's going on in his chapters I can't wait for. This is a well paced PNR with plenty of action and I loved the chemistry between Cole and Stella. Stella is headstrong and determined and even though she sometimes doesn't think things through and ends up in trouble Cole loves her for it. He loves her fighting spirit their arguing acts like an aphrodisiac for them both.
Stella Moore lost her twin when they were kids, she was taken by the anti-shifter organization after she accidentally shifted in public. The Moore family fell apart after that and now Stella has no one. Stella is determined to get revenge on the man who stole her sister, James Walters, he's a very wealthy man who is deep with Unified Humanity and Stella is going to kill him.
Cole Turner normally works with explosives but with his family being rich the team needed his last name and his family connection to get an "in" with Walters, so this time around Cole is working undercover. Cole knew at first glance that Stella was something special, he knew at the first whiff of C4 from the bomb she had under her dress that she was the one for him, it just took both of them a while to admit it. In order to protect the op and Stella they have to bring her in on it even if having her there now is a distraction for Cole that can lead to some very dangerous consequences.
Overall, it was another outstanding book. It's a great PNR Suspense, plenty of action and romance with enough internal conflict to make the characters interesting and to hook you into their world.
This book continues the story line from “A Wolf’s Mate” and the main characters are Cole and Stella. I liked Stella but at times Stella’s choices annoyed me. I understand her past history but she really needed to take a step and remember what was at stake. I liked Cole but I didn’t feel like I got to know him while reading this story. In this story we also got the beginning of Grant and Charlotte. I’m curious to see where this story goes in the next book given both of their pasts. Overall, I did enjoy this book and I will be looking forward to the next one. This book had action, humor and I love this refreshing spin on Shifter novels. If you’re looking for a refreshing shifter series look no further!
“Received a review copy and I voluntarily provided an honest review."
MAN, those SHOC guys can be clueless, can't they? They just barrel along (I'm looking at ALL of them, mind you) without realizing what it is they have in their hands or how to use a little diplomacy to bring another person around to their way of thinking. Not that I expected anything different from them, BUT STILL.
In this case, Cole has a vengeful jaguar shifter who REALLY wants to take her pound of flesh from the man who she perceives as destroying her family (I'm a little torn on whether he should be her entire focus considering he's just one cog in a big machine, but I can also see why she had him in her metaphorical crosshairs). The thing is, while Stella has her reasons for going after the bad guy, Cole's right when he pointed out (more than once) that she's not trained for this.
She nearly gets herself caught/captured more than once. Which is NOT a good thing when the people you're up against want to cause serious hurt to shifters any way they can. Being in danger also tends to send overprotective males into a bit of a frenzy and then they make sweeping declarations and do bone-headed things all in the name of keeping their special someone safe.
GOOD TIMES!
I'm enjoying this series. The bad guys are repulsive. The good guys sometimes have to do bad things for the greater good. There's a little mystery and a lot of sexy times. And, I dunno, there's a certain someone on Team Three that I think everyone needs to keep their eye on.
Tiger's Claim (Shifter Rogues #2) by Celia Kyle 4 stars M/F Shifter romance Triggers: Human experimentation I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.
I did not read book 1 in this series, but never felt that it was necessary.
Cole is a tiger shifter with a mission. He and his teammates are trying to ensure that all shifters are safe from an organization willing to experiment and erase them. Being invited to an exclusive party full of members of this organization isn't Cole's idea of a good time, but he's willing to be the sacrificial lamb in order to secure intel. What he doesn't count on is having to save an innocent...or is she?
Stella has thought of one thing only for years. Getting revenge on the one person who had taken everything from her. Her sibling, her parents, her sense of security. She finds herself in a predicament when she runs in to a tiger shifter who is hotter than sin. While trying to eliminate the worst of the anti-shifter group, Stella and Cole butt heads.
With everything on the line, Cole and Stella will have to rely on each other to survive. But, when things get hairy, will they cut and run?
I liked the characters a lot. I thought that it was well developed and loved the banter between Cole and his teammates. I think for me, where the story was a little flat was between Stella and Cole. They started out with great banter, but their coming together was somewhat under developed and I wanted more. Also, without giving too much away, the questions left were a lot.
I am looking forward to Grant's story. I will hopefully be seeing that soon.
Tiger’s Claim is the second book in Celia Kyle’s new Shifter Rogues Series. It falls under the paranormal and suspense genre.
I have loved and read most of Celia Kyle’s books. She is a phenomenal writer with great storylines and fantastic characters. When I picked up this book, I did not realized immediately that this was the second book in the series. However, this fact did not at all affect my enjoyment of this book. In fact, I have already added book 1 and 1.5 of this series to my library for reading.
Stella Moore, is a jaguar shifter, who is on a mission to destroy Unified Humanity, an anti-shifter organization that destroyed her family. Cole Turner, a wealth playboy and agent for Shifter Operations Command, is also out to stop this organization, but his mission is compromised when Stella and him meet for the first time. Suddenly the pair are thrown together, and are forced to keep up their romantic act in order to survived their enemies and save shifter kind. They MUST NOT fall in love, no matter what their human and shifter sides feel- their lives depend on them being focused.
This is a great new series filled with danger, suspense and “steam”. Both the heroes and heroines in Kyle’s books are good, strong characters with strong personalities. I loved how together they become two parts of a whole; better and stronger together then apart.
All the books in this series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone, however, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself.
Kyle does a phenomenal job using previous characters from the series in order to further the overall series plot line. She also introduces new characters throughout the series; giving hints of possible future storylines. You are always left wanting more, waiting desperately to know what will happen next. I can’t wait to read her next story!!! I hope it’s Grant!
This is a voluntary review of an advanced readers copy received from Netgalley.
Title: Tiger’s Claim Series: Shifter Rogues Book #2 Stand Alone Title: yes Author: Celia Kyle Genre: Paranormal romance Blurb: Jaguar shifter Stella Moore has one thing on her mind - to take down the anti-shifter organization that destroyed her family. Favorite quote(s): “It matters to me. Every thought, every emotion, every breath, everything about you matters to me.” “You want to know what we’re doing?” He leaned down and rubbed the tip of his nose against hers. “If I have my way, we’re mating.” Thoughts: I love books by Celia Kyle – when it comes to the paranormal genre, she never disappoints. Tiger’s Claim is no exception. I absolutely loved the characters – and you couldn’t find a pair more meant for each other. Cole summed it up perfectly himself after meeting Stella – ‘She had those gorgeous curves, alluring green eyes, and long softly curling hair. The cherry on top was the fact that she carried explosives. A woman after his own, bomb-loving heart.’ From the time these two met, the sparks were flying – literally! But Celia Kyle always knows how to deliver a good story, and this one will go down as a favorite of mine! It’s a wild roller-coaster ride of adventure – so buckle up for the ride and enjoy! Rating: A
i hadn't read book 1 of the series and while wasn't sure of the background/belief structure/level of either the good or bad guys, i wasn't particularly lost as the author made clear the basics of the series arc issues. Also while there appeared to be a good size cast of characters for the series, I appreciated that the author kept the focus primarily on the h/h's relationship and mission and didn't overwhelm the story with excess characters or plot lines (though I was left intrigued by the hints of Grant's potential future (next?) story). there was a lot of action and high/lows in the mission story though the very ending left a slightly dissatisfied feeling with a slight-ish cliffhanger. as for the relationship, there was definitely chemistry between Stella and Cole from the start. While things moved quickly there was also a feeling of things growing (not instant love) nor was Cole too over the top he-man alpha protective although he did feel more protective than he expected to early on. Stella was mostly smart (she had a couple "stupid" moments while trying to play spy). you got to see them work through and try to understand their growing feelings and just what they meant. Some of the sex euphemisms and talk was silly and childish at times which i found to be a little distracting. overall and enjoyable & balanced book.
arc courtesy of net galley in exchange for a fair/ honest review.
This second installment in the series gives us Cole's love story. Don't worry, he doesn't get matched with some timid woman who bends to his will. Instead, he discovers someone who hates the same evil doers as he does, and she's willing to blow herself up if it means taking all of them out.
Stella is out for revenge and has been working at it all her life. The men who killed her sister are going to pay, one way of the other, and sexy Cole isn't about to stop her. Sure, he can kidnap her, get her to join their mission, but she will make the most ridiculous decisions along the way if she thinks it will get her closer to her goal. Cole, who has been working at playing rich womanizer for a while to get into the inner fold of an evil organization, has to work twice as hard now to make sure the woman his lion wants to protect doesn't get herself killed.
There is a lot of back and forth drama, some secrets, lots of stupidly dangerous decisions, and possible betrayal. In the end, we don't really get everything tied up nicely, but I assume we'll revisit this in future books. These two definitely deserve each other, though, if for no other reason than to keep their lives interesting.
Having not read the first book in this series but other books that (I think) are in this world, I was intrigued by the premise behind this novel. I was also drawn by the fact that Cole is a tiger shifter. There are not a lot of tiger shifter novels and this one was entertaining to read! Stella and Cole meet when he's on a mission to uncover the inner workings of an anti-shifter, hate society that's being funded by the uber-rich and Stella is present to set-up a bomb to get revenge against their subject for the kidnapping of her sister and her broken family.
Stella's a panther (big cat of some kind) shifter that's after revenge. Forcibly absorbed into their cover story, Stella must decide whether she can work with them and delay her ultimate goal. While in close quarters with Cole, they discover they're mates. Now, they have to work together so that both parties reach their goals, and navigate the emotional upheaval involved in a newly discovered bond.
I received this as an ARC from Edelweiss: Above the Treeline.
Stella and Cole meet in a compromising situation. They are both after the same person but for different reasons. Cole has had to save Stella's butt several times but while this is going on their attraction is getting stronger and she wants to deny it but he doesn't. A group is out there to take down all shifters and the shifters have a group to take those people down. Stella is a Jaguar shifter while Cole is a tiger and these 2 want to mate. But will they ever get the chance? The man that Stella is after has ruined her family and she wants revenge. Cole's group just wants to take him down and take apart the group out to destroy shifters. I enjoyed the characters and even though they all sound bad ass to each other you can tell they are all there for each other. I received this from Forever and NetGalley for review.
Cole is a tiger shifter, rich, and a member of SHOC, Shifters Operation Command. He is undercover trying to take down Unified Humanity, which are against shifter. Stella is a jaguar shifter and wants revenge against the head of UH. After catching her trying to plant explosives in Walters office, she has to pretend to be his girlfriend and stay the weekend on an island. They try to find dirt on the members and shut it down but someone in SHOC is helping them and they must identify the mole and find Walters again.
Action, steamy, a little funny, and shifters galore. A slight cliffhanger. Can’t wait to read the next one. So glad I picked this book up.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for Netgalley *
Luckily, I listened to this on audio, otherwise, I probably would have struggled to get through it. Stella has a vendetta and wants revenge on the anti-shifter group that killed her sister. Cole has been working with a group on infiltrating the anti-shifter group and when they collide, they end up "fake dating" to gain entry to a private island and the hub of the anti- shifer shenanigans. Cole wants her for his mate but doesn't believe his lifestyle lends itself to a mate and Stella is intent on getting her revenge and doesn't want a relationship to impede that. I just thought it was slow and I hate when the h does dumb stuff and gets caught which is what happens here.
Tigers claim is Coles story. Hes on his mission to find out who the main players are and bring that info in to help cut the head off the snake. However what should be an easy task gets thrown off balance when a woman in a red dress makes an unexpected appearance.
Stella is on a mission for vengeance. What should have been a quick job ends up leading her into Coles path. They will have to pass off being a couple on an island filled with people set on destroying all shifters. What could go wrong?
It was interesting to read and entertaining with the rest of Coles team. I enjoyed it
Tiger's Claim by Celia Kyle is book Two in the Shifter Rogues series. This is the story of Cole Turner and Stella Moore. I haven't yet read the previous book, so for for me this was a standalone book. Stella is out to get the revenge she feels she needs but runs into a road block called Cole. Cole is working undercover but when he sees Stella trying to bring down the people he working to bring down he knows he can't do anything but work together. I enjoyed this shifter story and will look for more books from Ms. Kyle.
One of my favorite genres is shifter novels and Celia Kyle is one of my favorite paranormal romance authors.
This is the second book in the series. It can stand alone, but it is better to read the first book before you read this one. Cole is a member of a shifter organization protecting members from anti-shifters. He goes undercover and encounters Stella who is attempting to revenge her family. The humor and sexual connection between Cole and Stella is great It was a fast-paced book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC provided by NetGalley and the publisher. Thank you!
Second in Shifter Rogues Series. Well written, funny as all get out ,betrayal by a member of team( almost sure I know who it is),intrigue, non stop action and sexy moments. This book had me hooked from first to last page . Cole, a tiger shifter bomb expert on the SHOC team sent into UH to find who is in control and destroy them. Stella, a jaguar shifter bent on revenge for the kidnapping of her sister and death of her parents gets caught in the middle of the SHOC op and all bets are off as the real fun/fight begins. Look forward to Grant's story and hopefully won't have long to wait.
