Great book, rated it higher than CLR via C#, but still contains lots of data on rarely used things. Huge section devoted to XML parsing and processing. It's 2020, XML is over. AppDomains are not much relevant since .NET Core as well. Things like that waste more of your time than give value. We're in an information overload now and if the 1000 pages book contains some chapters on topics that are rarely used now it's better to devote separate books for those chapters rather than squeeze those in.

Very high-quality technical book, authors really know what they are talking about and did a really good job explaining such a big amount of topics, making sure you're not losing track of what you read. Thank you, guys.

7/5 stars. Every. Detail. Covered. Thoroughly.

The most enjoyable book. Better at keeping me reading obsessively cover to cover than Peter Watts, and that's the first.
