Seven great stories! Do you love an intelligent hero? Do you like the awkward girl getting swept off her feet? Do you like things kinky, sweaty, wild or virtual? Then we’ve got a story for you!

Fall Quiet by Zoe York
A chance meeting on a Caribbean island gives Navy SEAL Quinn Parry another opportunity to impress the sexiest Army sergeant he’s ever laid eyes on. But Leah Saunders isn’t interested in an over-the-top alpha male...unless he wants to submit to her.

To Score or Not to Score by Angela Quarles
One blind date. One case of mistaken identity. One Navy SEAL faced with his high school crush. What could go wrong?
Once she mistakes me for her blind date, my plan is clear. Be this Rick the Lawyer she thinks I am. And for the space of this coffee date, talk to the only woman who’s ever made me feel any spark outside of combat. Best case scenario, I get to be outside my skin—free to be whatever the hell I want. Worst case—she recognizes me as we chat. She’ll be pissed, call me an asshole, but it won’t be anything she hasn’t called me in the past, so… Win/Win?

The Adorkable Girl and the Geek (Gone Geek 5) by Sidney Bristol
Best friends Nate and Cara have the same secret, they’re hopelessly in love with each other. Embarking on an emotional and often boundary testing discovery, they delve into the depth of their feelings. But Nate has secret desires that might tear them apart before they’ve even begun.

The Girl Next Door by C. Jordan
When ex-Navy SEAL Derek Forrester takes a job working security at a local sci-fi convention, he’s thrown together with his next-door neighbor, Katie Jones. A good girl— not his type. But he wants her anyway. And now she’s wearing racy costumes. Shy, geeky Katie only comes out of her shell when cosplaying. She can be a different woman—a sexy, confident one. One who can be as bad as Derek wants.

Bath Bomb by Clara Leigh (Forbidden Bad Boys)
Recipe for a wild weekend: Take one geeky actor, a video game idol, and cinema’s best known towel model. Add a chocolate-box cottage, a liberal sprinkling of snow… make that lots of snow, and an oversized bathtub.
Result: THREESOME!
Join Lorne, Jasper and Mikayla as they shed their winter woollies, and get wet ‘n’ wild in the wilderness. Identities are mistaken, feelings get bruised, but plenty of hot stuff happens too.

In the Spotlight by Ally Decker
Pretending to date a movie star definitely wasn’t on Sylvia Urban’s agenda but a girl has to do what a girl has to do. And after a paparazzo catches them in rather uncompromising position, this is exactly what this girl has to do.
Greg Abrams really needs everything to go right if he wants his new project to get green-lighted, but when the cute Broadway geek almost literally falls into his life, things get complicated really fast.
As the pair grows closer, the ‘pretend’ part of pretend dating gets thrown out of the window, but after they started off as a lie, it’s hard to know what’s real and what’s not.
And the clock is ticking.

Play by Olivia Devon
Aaron Eldridge’s passion for his latest virtual reality program skyrockets when he meets a woman who shares his obsession for all things geek. The premier launch of HyperLyfe at Lux, Manhattan’s hottest sex club, would be a perfect opportunity to get Katie Martinez to check out his new toy, and the kinky sex ideas he has in mind.
What if your deepest fantasies could come true?
In virtual reality, anything is possible…

When I had to read a geek/nerd romance for a challenge, my first thought was this book, though I didn't remember that it was an anthology. Most of the stories dragged on, making it take a while for me to get through the book. Reviews for each story are below, though I found the book a bit disappointing overall.

Fall Quiet by Zoe York
I really didn’t like this story at all! I couldn’t believe that Quinn was able to submit to Leah on a long term basis, and the characters really don’t fit the geek stereotype well, especially since they came across more military than geek. It was like the geek elements were just tossed into the story because they were required to be there. The story also ended too abruptly for my tastes. We don’t get much opportunity to get to know any characters, and some things are hinted at, as a hook to draw readers to the author’s other series. Was very disappointed in this…2 stars

To Score or Not to Score by Angela Quarles
I really enjoyed this story! The sports premise was a unique one, though I really didn’t care for the blatant deception that the hero employed with the heroine! Luke was a decent enough hero, and Pepper was a very realistic portrayal of a woman burned. Definitely will look for more from this author! 4 stars

The Adorkable Girl and the Geek (Gone Geek 5) by Sidney Bristol
I had all but given up on this author, but after this story, I really want to go back and read the rest of this series! I loved Cara and Nate! Their story was so like my own, it wasn’t funny! I fell in love with all the characters I met, and from the blurbs of the other books in the series, I could tell that a lot of them made more than token appearances! The relationship between Nate and Cara moved a bit quickly for my tastes, but it was realistic, given the abbreviated timespan that Nate was working with. Definitely a 5 star read for me!

The Girl Next Door by C. Jordan
This was a rather cute story! I could definitely identify with both Katie and Derek, and I instantly wanted to read more about them! I loved that this story melded both traditional Geek elements with a military mission as well, as it really seemed like a plausible plot. Definitely will look for more from this author! 5 stars

Bath Bomb by Clara Leigh (Forbidden Bad Boys)
This story sucked! All the characters were so whiny, I really hated them! Mikayla whined about being mistook for a game avatar that was based off of her, Lorne whined that he couldn’t get with Jasper, Jasper whined about having to rehearse gay script scenes, it all served to drag the story down! The story really wasn’t believable, felt focused on sex, and ended rather abruptly for my tastes. All things considered, I’ll pass on anything else by this author, because I was so bored reading this story! 1 star

In the Spotlight by Ally Decker
I’m not really seeing a traditional geek element in this story, unless they were counting theater geek being a geek element. Even then, there’s not much of a tie to theater geekdom! The story really doesn't fit well with the rest of the anthology, as the rest of the stories are more of a science/reading geekdom. The relationship felt a little rushed as well. Sylvia and Greg are a bit unbelievable as a couple and I didn’t like that their relationship started out as a public deception. I found the story rather boring overall, so 2 stars on this one.

Play by Olivia Devon
This story really dragged for me! Granted, it had tons of geek points, but what was there wasn't believable for the time setting. It also seemed to focus more on the sexual aspect of the romance, rather than a getting to know you aspect. The relationship also wasn't believable from a pacing standpoint, as things happened entirely too fast to be believable! Not a great story for me, so 2 stars.

I found “Some Like It Geek” because I adore Angela Quarles and am always eager to read her works. The entire reason I read this compilation is because she was in it. Everything else? BONUS! And, SCORE! I found some new authors I’m excited to read!!! I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review – thanks! I loved it!.

Overall, as a collection, it is tied together by geek elements (kink, comics, star wars, comic con, superheroes, Broadway, and virtual reality). The amount of geek in each story sort of varies, but is there, and links them together. Most of them also feature a navy SEALS, which was kinda odd to me. I don’t think of SEALS as geeks, but there are a few in this series. Like the amount of geek, the amount of romantic intensity varies from story to story. They all have at least one or two bedroom scenes, but the length and intensity varies. Sometimes they dominate the story, other times they really are secondary. Whatever your tastes are, there is probably something here for you. Scenes include bondage, domination, oral, CMNF, voyeurism, two men, and a whole lot more. Take your pick! And, who knows, maybe you’ll find something new to pique your interests! For the sake of each story, though, here are some short individual reviews and reactions:

Fall Quiet by Zoe York – 3 stars
I’m kinda on the fence about this story. For the most part, it read well as erotica, but not as a contemporary romance. Honestly, the bulk of the writing are bedroom scenes with not a lot of character development or dialogue. The fabulous conversations and all the “connections” between Leah and Quinn are skimmed over and alluded to, but are never on the page. We get a lot of hearing about the great conversations they had during the day, but we only get a few meal scenes and a lot of bedroom action. Which, don’t get me wrong, was pretty hawt. But, again, it only worked for me when read as erotica and I’m not entirely sure how solid their relationship is going forward.

To Score or Not to Score by Angela Quarles – 5 stars
This story focuses on Pepper and Luke, high school acquaintances that reconnect as adults 15+ years later. It also heavily features the sport Irish Hurling and, after watching a few youtube videos, I am a huge fan. It is a mash up of field hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, rugby and pretty much every other contact sport you can think of. Considering the novella-esque length, I felt that we got a lot of character development for Pepper and Luke. We learned what made them tick, as well as how their mind worked. Lots of introspection and thinking about their feelings for the other person. Plus a few hawt bedroom scenes. That thing in the car? HECK YEAH! Anyway, after the last two scenes, I have no doubt that these two will find their HEA. And, again, I love Angela Quarles writing style and can always trust that she is going to take me, the reader, on a fun adventure.

The Adorkable Girl and the Geek (Gone Geek 5) by Sidney Bristol – 2 stars
Well, as the 2 star rating indicates, this is my least favorite in this series. Maybe it is because I’m not a Star Wars fan, but this one was very “Meh” to me. It is about best friends confronting their feelings for each other, but it is riddled with annoying writing tropes and plot devices that just feel stale and predictable. Examples: withholding information about an ex coming back to bite you on the butt, friends having come to Jesus moments and revealing secrets, making a grand gesture, being afraid of your emotions, and being too afraid of a reaction to put yourself out there. These characters are supposed to be in the 26-30 year old range, yet they have the emotional maturity of 14 year olds and come across as doormats with their families and careers. As for the geeky elements, well, aside from some Star Wars elements, it wasn’t there for me. Cara wasn’t so much adorkable and awkward as high functioning on the Autism spectrum with her inability to pick up on social cues and hold a conversation with more than three word answers for anything. In general, I was not a fan.

The Girl Next Door by C. Jordan – 3 stars
This was a very cute story by an author that was new to me. I liked that Derek and Katie complimented each other’s personalities, weren’t afraid to talk about their feelings (eventually), and try new things togeher. They had a friendly, easy way that was fun to read and I enjoyed watching Derek go through some emotional growth. I liked the geek elements being centered around a Comic Con, but that they were both working the convention, not just attending. This was a very fast and easy read that I read in one sitting. Given the shorter length, I felt we got to know the characters well. There were even have glimpses into the characters in other books in the series that were interesting enough that I’ve added them to my TBR pile. Also, the romance was hawt….rawr. ;)

Bath Bomb by Clara Leigh (Forbidden Bad Boys) – 3 stars
Well, this one was a surprise for me. I’m not really a ménage-a-trois kinda gal, and I think this may honestly be the first one I’ve read, but the set-up and the way it played out was very well done and makes me look forward to more in the future. I’m a little less interested in the man on man action, but for the sake of this story, it was necessary and worked, but didn’t dominate the entire plot. My favorite part of this whole story, though, were the atmospheric elements. The descriptions of the rooms, the furniture, and *ahem* the kitchen sink were so vivid it painted a very clear picture of the setting in my mind. I love the description of the little cottage in the middle of nowhere, the bath house, and the fact that the entire thing is set in the English countryside and the grammar, spelling, and idioms are very British. Overall, I was surprised and delighted by how much I enjoyed this story!

In the Spotlight by Ally Decker – 4 stars
This is another very cute, very sweet story by an author that is new to me. As a Broadway geek, I loved reading about the contracts and thinking about the scheduling, rehearsals, and other hoops that famous actors would have to do to be able to tread the boards on Broadway. This story was basically one I would have LOVED to live through in my own life and I adored being able to do it virtually through Sylvia and Greg’s relationship. Even though this story is rather short, I read it in one sitting, I enjoyed getting to know Sylvia and Greg. They were both very likable and relatable and I look forward to reading the rest of the Fixers series – that sounds like it could be pretty exciting!

Play by Olivia Devon – 5 stars
The geek elements are strongest in this story – a big portion of it takes place in Virtual Reality – and I am kinda obsessed with the technology that was described. I’m not a gamer, but if this is the direction that games are going, well then shut up and take my money. As for the story, I liked the relationship build, the way Aaron and Katie met and got to know each other. I liked the secondary characters – Aik in particular. I liked that Aaron and Katie talked about their problems and were totally honest about their feelings and insecurities. And, I liked seeing the villain(s?) get what was deserved. The atmospheric elements in this book were also very strong and were central to the plot since a portion of it was world building. And, that scene in the club? HAWT. Yes, please!!! This is another author that I will be sure to add to my to be read pile and will keep an eye out for in the future!

I am struggling with how to rate this boxset. If half star ratings were available I would give this 3 ½ stars but will settle for 3 stars as a whole and I’ll provide individual rating for the stories and let the reader decide whether they want to purchase the set or not.
First the Good: If I read these books individually I would probably give them 4 stars:
To Score or Not to Score by Angela Quarles – although not what I would consider a Geek Story it did have a case of mistaken identity and two wounded people trying to get over their past.
The Adorkable Girl and the Geek by Sidney Bristol – this was truly the story of 2 geeks who had known each other from childhood and were in love but never admitted it to each other. This story didn’t need to include some bondage to make it work but it is a sweet story of friends becoming lovers.
The Girl Next Door – C. Jordan – probably my favorite story in this set. An Ex-Navy SEAL is working security at a sci-fi convention where his neighbor has a jewelry booth. He knew she was hot but couldn’t resist her after seeing her Wonder Woman constume.
Play – Olivia Devon – A Virtual Reality creator meets one of his best users/world-creator and their hook-up in the virtual world moves over into real life.
I would have given In the Spotlight by Ally Decker 4 stars also but it needs some editing. The hero’s name switches back and forth between Greg Abrams and Greg Adams – sometimes on the same page. Therefore, I am deducting ½ a star for annoyance.
I would give Fall Quiet by Zoe York a 2 ½ to 3 star rating. It was okay but more kinky than geeky and even then the kink was more talk than action.
Finally, I would only give Bath Bomb by Clara Leigh 1 star. It’s a story about a three-some but the first 2 chapters were so long-winded and boring I didn’t even get to the girl. It’s not often that I don’t finish reading a story but I couldn’t go any farther with this one.
I received an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Like your romances hot, sexy & emotionally charged? If yes, this collection is for you! The uniting theme is embracing the geek. Each is a full book, not just a sneak peek or a novella. The characters are all well developed & relatable. I enjoy Zoe York's writing but in the process of reading this collection, I've found several new to me authors. This is a wonderful collection for the price. You really can't go wrong.

I have to note that while I loved the stories in this collection, they didn't all have that geek element that the title implies. Yes, the characters all had a bit of geekiness, but it wasn't a main characteristic or focus of each story as I would have thought.

Fall Quiet by Zoe York - 5 Stars
Loved Leah and Quinn! Especially the moment he realized she was a top. Her teasing him when they first talked about her kink had me fanning myself. I could totally see Quinn tied up waiting for gratification. So hot!!! I love how Leah loses herself when she's with Quinn. She's this tough as nails Master Sergeant who likes to be in control; but with him, she just melts into his kisses and touches. And Chapter 8!!! Whew! I can't wait for more of this couple! And knowing Zoe, there will be more.

To Score or Not to Score by Angela Quarles - 5 Stars
I adored the characters in this story. Luke had the whole hot, badass Navy SEAL with the lingering childhood insecurity thing going for him. I loved that he had a secret crush on Pepper back in high school and used the mistaken identity moment to finally get what he always wanted-her. I was sad for Pepper and her situation. She seemed like a lost girl who just wanted to find love. I enjoyed how their relationship progressed and their interactions throughout.

More reviews for the other stories coming soon...

This compilation has my favorite writers and full length novels,
at a great price. WOW!!
If you haven't read some of the books of these authors, I give you warning, they tell a mean tale, warts, sexual encounters and all.
I have had a hard time putting this set down, so I suggest for a long weekend or holiday read.

Fall Quiet Zoe York

Definitely not for the sexually inhibited.
Love Story of two people, officers both in the services and both dominants.  However,  they were both willing to give up their own preferences,  to figure out where the attraction between them would take them.
See your, hot encounters and fantastic charisma between the two characters.

To score or not to score.  Angela Quarles:

If you saw someone you had lusted after in high school, but never had the timing right to ask them out, then, are approached by them,  many years later, not recognized by them, but they think you are their blind date, would you come clean or enjoy the time spent with someone you have really wanted to get to know?
That's just the beginning,  but it gets hot, hot and hotter, real fast.
Great story,  strong characters and an unusual plot.

The Adorkable Girl and the Geek: Sidney Bristol

They had been best friends, forever. He wanted more and she wanted more, would moving to lovers ruin it for them, and also for the group they had grown up with.
They had lived apart, not telling the other events that changed them, matured them. Could some of the new things cause the other person not to want, not to need the other??
A very adorable story, which a geek can throughly get!!
I don't know so much about the straight readers, it may be too logical an affair for them.

I Really enjoyed the geek theme of all the books. The well placed quotes and references really tied the books together. My favorite two were To Score Or Not To Score by Angela Quarles and The Girl Next Door by C. Jordan. I can't wait to read more from them! Bath Bomb was a little outside my comfort zone, but the overall geek theme of the book was good. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Entertaining compilation of "geek" stories. I enjoyed all of the tales. It introduced me to some new storytellers, as well stories from some of my favorites. This was a very different collection of stories in terms of the hotness factor. A little bit of something for everyone.
I voluntarily reviewed this book and was not compensated in any way.

Book 1: Fall Quiet by Zoe York
Genre: Romance - Military, SEAL, kink
Stand Alone: Yes
Part of a Series: Book 9 of the SEALs Undone Series
POV: Leah and Quinn
Steam level: Pretty Toasty
5/5

Although I have several already, this is the first book I've read by Zoe York. Fall Quiet was a lot of fun with a perfect mix of steam and sweet. Although dealing a little with kink, it was light and didn't push a lot of boundaries (well maybe the characters' boundaries but that's part of the fun). I really liked Leah with her bossy and independent attitude and Quinn with his easy-going personality. The interplay between these two characters was fun and light-hearted. I would have liked to get to know both Leah and Quinn's background a little more but I understand that the book can only be so long. Overall a good book which makes me look forward to read more of Zoe York's books.

Book 2: To Score or Not to Score by Angela Quarles
Genre: Romance - Sports (Hurling), Military (SEAL)
Stand-alone: Yes (Mostly) To see how the team does in the playoffs you need to read the other books which are not out yet. Also has (what I'm assuming) is the set up for the next couple that will be featured in this series.
Part of a Series: Yes - Book 1 in the Hurling Series
POV: Pepper and Luke
Steam-Level: Sexy
4.5/5

This is the first book I've read by Angela Quarles and I really enjoyed it. It was quite fun and entertaining and I found myself smiling throughout. The chemistry and push pull between Luke and Pepper was intense and hot. At one point I found myself getting a little bored but then the author drew my right back in to the story. Angela Quarles is definitely an author whose work I want to explore more in the future. Overall I really enjoyed this story but was a bit disappointed in the fact that we have to wait to find out about what happens in the playoffs.

Book 3: The Adorkable Girl and the Geek (Gone Geek 5) by Sidney Bristol
Genre: Romance - Friends-to-Lovers, Contemporary, Comedy, Interracial, Kimk
Stand-alone: Yes
Part of a Series: Yes Book 5 of the Gone Geek Series
POV: Cara and Nate
Steam-Level: Warm but not too hot
4/5

This is the second book I've ready by Sidney Bristol and I really enjoyed it. The Adorkable Girl and the Geek was a perfect mix of fun, heat and emotion. The themes of being yourself, having the courage to put yourself "out there," being honest and open and taking responsibility for your actions run throughout. I love that the characters grew-personally, as friends, and as a couple. In the beginning Cara kind of annoyed me but by the end I was loving her. I'm a big fan of the friends-to-lovers genre and this book is a fun take on it.

Book 4: The Girl Next Door by C. Jordan
Genre: Romance - Next Door Neighbor, Comedy, SEAL
Stand-Alone: Yes
Part of a Series: Yes - Book 2 of the Forrester Brothers Series
POV: Derek and Katie
Steam-level: Sexy AF
5/5

This is the first book I've read by C. Jordan and definitely won't be the last! It was almost embarrassing how quickly I read The Girl Next Door, staying up well into the night without even realizing it. I absolutely loved both Katie and Derek. Katie's mouthy/sassy side had me laughing out loud. Derek was sexy, sweet, and just the right amount of alpha. This was a fast and fun read that I found funny, sweet and absolutely could not put down. I absolutely cannot wait to read more of C. Jordan's books. This is definitely my favorite book so far in this set.

Book 5: Bath Bomb by Clara Leigh (Forbidden Bad Boys)
I tried to get in to the book but I couldn't. I gave it three chapters (one for each character) and I had to push myself even finish those three. While I'm not big on menage books I'm not against them either. But they have to be done right. This book just read to me like a stereotypical porno:
Character 1 - Sexy guy who swings both ways and is totally infatuated with his new sexy male costar. Plans a weekend getaway to "practice" for their upcoming show. "Accidentally" books a cabin with only one bed.
Character 2: Sexy costar who's totally straight (and uses Character #3 for his personal spank bank) but thinks costar #1 is hot. What are these unwanted feeling/urges? Was the one bed thing planned?
Character 3: Super smart fantasy of Character 2 who "accidentally" stayed longer at the cabin than she was booked for. Oh and her secret fantasy is watching two guys go at it. But only if they're not really gay, only into each other. Oh and they have to let her join and play too.
No, just no. Other issues:

Secluded cabin has a car - must be some random car
Oh look a jacket - guess someone is going to be cold
Cabin comes with food - but if cabin comes with food, someone has to restock it. If said restocking person came, they obviously didn't clean the bathroom so yuck.

I had to push myself to get through the first three chapters of this book. It was awful! Skip this one.

Book 6: In the Spotlight by Ally Decker
Genre: Romance - Fake relationship
Stand-alone: Yes
Part of a Series: Prequel to the New York City Fixers Series
POV: Sylvia and Greg
Steam Level: Toasty Warm
4/5

In the Spotlight is the first book I've read by Ally Decker and it was a lot of fun. It was a quick read with fun banter that left me smiling throughout. I enjoyed the chemistry between Sylvia and Greg and would like to read more of the New York City Fixers series. I already added all of the books to my wishlist and look forward to reading more of Ally Decker's work!

Book 7: Play by Olivia Devon
Genre: Romance - Fantasy, SciFi, Comedy, Kink, Suspense
Stand-Alone: Yes
Part of a Series: Yes - Part of the Manhattan Lux Series
POV: Katie and Aaron
Steam-level: Scorching
5/5

Play is the an enticing mixture of comedy, suspense, and fantasy, set in both the real world and virtual reality. The steamy bits were VERY hot but they only made up a small portion of the story and had a purpose to them (so not sex for the sake of sex but sex for the sake of the story and character development). I love the themes of being able to choose who you are and what you look like but learning to love yourself. The theme of Wabi Sabi was the best and something that more people need to incorporate into their lives. This is the first book I've read by Olivia Devon but definitely will not be the last. Play kept me engrossed in the story. And the interplay between life and fantasy was a fun concept. I absolutely loved it!

I received the Some Like It Geek Anthology from NetGalley. This is my honest (and late) voluntary review.

Fall Quiet by Zoe York (SEALs Undone #9)
Oh my gosh! These two are so freaking cute together. I’m not usually a fan of stories where the heroine is the dominant personality, but Leah made it work for me. It also helped that they kind of took it in turns who was in charge. Leah had her opportunities and so did Quinn. I loved how open and honest they were with one another about what they wanted. It was so much fun watching the dynamic between Quinn and Leah change from lust into love.
To Score Or Not To Score (Earning It) by Angela Quarles (Stolen Moments #1)
This combines a couple of my favorite themes: enemies to lovers, with a bit of a second chance spin. And I absolutely cannot resist the military twist or the presence of so many burly Irishmen. Imagine the accents. I loved Luke, even though I sometimes thought it was pretty easy to see Pepper looked at him as her nemesis. Pepper was a little bit more difficult to warm up to simply because she holds her cards so close to her chest. She has a very small Circle of Trust and not many people earned the honor to be part of that circle. I thought these two were so good together. Even when they were off, there was loads of chemistry. Now, I want to know all about the rest of Luke’s teammates.
The Adorkable Girl and the Geek by Sidney Bristol (Gone Geek #5)
This pair is absolutely crazy-making to me. I loved them while at the same time I absolutely hated a lot of what they did. Nate’s been silently in love with Cara for as long as he’s known her. She’s his very best friend and as much as he loves her, he’s just as afraid to lose her. When they make the move from friends to lovers, all kinds of chaos ensue. I loved Nate. He’s not perfect and that made me love him even more. Cara left me scratching my head for most of the story. I like her, but she really doesn’t understand subtleties and I felt like she jumped to a lot of conclusions that weren’t always supported by the evidence. I also couldn't comprehend how she could believe that her very best-est best friend in the whole wide world would intentionally hurt her the way she believed he had. The ending was adorable, but, as a reader, it seemed like I put in a lot of work getting there.
The Girl Next Door by C. Jordan (Forrester Brothers #2)
There’s just something about geek girls that I find so cute. (I might be projecting just a little bit.) And any man that can see the value in quiet, curvy, nerdy girls has my undying devotion. I loved Katie. I completely understand her dual personalities. Her feisty, sassy side left me howling with laughter more often than not. Derek is adorable. I know it’s not the expected description for the bada$$ former SEAL, but he’s sweet and charming, and his survivor’s guilt broke my heart. I definitely want to know more about these Forrester brothers now.
Bath Bomb: Forbidden Bad Boys by Clara Leigh (Sunsetters #2)
Oh my gosh! This is so sweet and angsty. I love how deep into the emotions this story goes. Balancing three personalities in a single relationship can’t be easy and this book shows us some of that. It also shows some of the amazing rewards that are only possible in a triad. I’ve fallen in love with these characters and I badly want to know even more about them.
In the Spotlight by Ally Decker (New York City Fixers 0.5)
This was a very light sweet read with plenty of spice. Greg and Sylvia were so cute together, I just wasn’t blown away by the story. For some reason, I wasn’t able to connect with the characters no matter how much I liked them. It’s also possible that I may have just missed it, but there’s lots of external tension on Greg that I didn’t find very well explained or dealt with to my satisfaction. Though I think the ending is quite adorable.
Play: Manhattan Lux by Olivia Devon (Manhattan Lux #2)
Fan-freaking-tastic! It's a full on nerd-gasm. It's funny, highly emotional, and as hot as the surface of the sun. I have to admit that since this is my first read by Olivia Devon, I wasn't expecting the temperatures to skyrocket like that. The connection between Aaron and Katie is so intense. I loved laughing with them as they navigated the overwhelming chemistry and the inevitable chaos it created. I think one of my favorite things about this book is how very human the characters are. They have their strengths, their weaknesses, their quirks, and it all makes Aaron and Katie, and their friends and family, leap off the page and into my imagination. I will definitely be backtracking to read the stories that take place before this one.

I love getting a box set that includes at least one of my favorite authors because not only do I get to enjoy a story written by them but I also get introduced to other authors and usually find new ones to enjoy and this was the case with Some Like it Geek.

Fall Quiet by Zoe York
I have to admit that Zoe York is one of my favorite authors and she's the reason I got this set. I loved Fall Quiet! Quinn is a SEAL and Leah is in the military. They have a quick run-in at a bar and sparks are flying but Leah blows him off only to have to run into him again the next morning on the range. Things are still brewing between them but still nothing happens. Fast forward 2 months and they run into each other again on a Caribbean island. She's taking a vacation having just left the military and he's attending a friends wedding. Leah is into kink and she likes to dominate but seeing Quinn, she figures he's not the type to submit. Lucky for Leah, Quinn likes sex no matter how and is willing to submit. The scenes between the are super hot! Another hit by Zoe!

To Score or Not to Score by Angela Quarles
Pepper and Luke did not get along at all in high school. Luke lusted after Pepper but Pepper hated him for ruining her chance at winning the science fair. Fast forward 15 years and Pepper is on a blind date to meet a guy named Rick but she has no idea what he looks like. By pure chance, Luke is at the coffee shop and sees Pepper walk in. She mistakes Luke for Rick (he's changed a LOT since high school). He recognizes her immediately and sparks fly. One thing leads to another and this is another great story. She's now a doctor and trying to prove herself to her new practice and he's part of a competitive sports team trying to get sponsored. I really enjoyed this author's writing and will definitely be reading more from her.

The Adorkable Girl and the Geek, Gone Geek 5 by Sidney Bristol
This was ok. These were high school friends and Nate had moved to California and was being successful whereas Cara was suffering some setbacks and stuck at home. It was a little weird that these two were such close friends and talked every day but Nate didn't know about a lot of the trouble that Cara was experiencing. It was fun to watch them see each other again and admit their feelings for each other. I enjoyed watching them work things out.

The Girl Next Door by C. Jordan
I really enjoyed this one! Derek is a hot ex-SEAL living next to a quiet, shy Katie. Katie makes jewelry and sells the jewelry at comic con. Derek's best friend has asked him to dress up and be extra security at Comic Con. When he arrives, he sees Katie all dressed up. It turns out she's not so shy when she's in a costume. These two were seriously hot together. Another great read for me! Looking forward to reading more by C. Jordan.

Bath Bomb by Clara Leigh
I was so excited to read a threesome! This author wrote at the beginning that this book uses British punctuation and grammar rules. I don't know if that was my issue of something else but I really struggled with the first chapter. I couldn't quite get into it and very sadly, I skipped over this book.

I haven't had an opportunity to read In the Spotlight or Play yet however, from what I've read, I highly recommend this set of books!

OK, I bought this in a moment of weakness. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Like any box set, the stories can be really hit and miss. The definition of "geek" is pretty stretched. And there were weirdly a lot of Navy SEALs. Not sure what that was about.
I did like that there was quite a bit of diversity of characters across the stories.
The best:
The story about the geeky girl and her next door neighbour. That was really fun and sweet. And they were actually geeks! Mmmm... Stacker Pentecost cosplay.
Pretty good:
The story about the actor and the Broadway geek starting a fake relationship. I'll check out that author more.
The longest story with the virtual reality world. You had to take some leaps of faith regarding what the technology would do, but at least it was creative. And I loved the secondary character Aiko.
The OK:
The first story. It's straight up erotica. Not much of a plot, but I enjoyed it.
The not good:
The stuck in the cabin during the snowstorm threesome. The characters were whiners. And then it ended before we could even get to the best part.
The Gone Geek novella with the super immature and naive girl, who is supposedly in her early thirties, but acts like she's 17. This was disappointing because I did like the other books in this series.
Couldn't finish:
The one about the dude lying to the girl he used to know in high school that he was someone else and then having sex with her. Nope to that whole setup. The writing was also really stilted in the dual first person present tense POV.

This is a compilation stories centered around the theme of geeks. As with most compiliations, there were some really good stories and some not so good stories. Either way, it’s worth reading as the good stories make up for the not so good stories. I’ve included reviews of several of the stories.
-Fall Quiet by Zoe York - 5 stars
Navy SEAL Quinn Perry gets a second chance to impress Army Sergeant Leah Sanders when he sees her on a Caribbean island.
I’ve read books by this author before and, while I’ve really liked them, this one, Whew! While it wasn’t really with the geek theme, I loved the kink theme!! Very few authors have the woman in charge and I absolutely loved it.
-To Score or Not to Score by Angela Quarles - 5 stars
Pepper has just moved back to her hometown and has been set up on a blind date by her best friend. What she doesn’t know is that the man that she thinks is her blind date is actually her old nemesis from high school, Luke.
This was my favorite story in the collection. It took awhile, but beyond the immense attraction, they each found they had a lot in common and were able to heal.
-The Adorkable Girl and the Geek by Sidney Bristol - 1 star
Nate and Cara have been best friends since high school and they’ve both been secretly in love with each other for years. This time when Cara comes to visits, things change.
I really didn’t like this book. Nate’s character wasn’t bad, but I didn’t like Cara at all. I’m not sure how she managed to survive life.

This is an entertaining collection of books that all have have a geek as the main character. What hurt it for me (and took away a star), is the wide range of hotness. The books range from sweet with with some spice to sizzling and very explicit and dirty sex. Normally these collections have similar levels of heat, so this is different from this.

I've read all but one of the books - sorry, but I passed the menage by - not my thing and I have no interest in reading it. Most of them are very good.

My favorite stories were The Girl Next Door and In the Spotlight. They are both very good, with In the Spotlight so good that I've already snagged another book by the author. It was very entertaining with sweet characters that found themselves in a very awkward situation that requires a ruse to escape....a very fun tale.

So, if you're a romance fan, this collection is a great value. However, if you're easily offended or don't want to read explicit scenes, you might want to pass the first book by and hop past the menage book. The rest offer a very substantial collection well worth purchasing.

A quirky mix of stories in this anthology.

Fall Quiet by Zoe York
Hot Navy Seal meets his match in the kinky Army girl.

To Score or Not to Score by Angela Quarles
Blind date gone wrong or totally right? You decide and there's lots of fun games afoot as well.

The Adorkable Girl and the Geek (Gone Geek 5) by Sidney Bristol
Awww, Nate and Cara, two adorably geeky clueless people. Sometime you just want to scream at the characters, TALK TO EACH OTHER. Yes it's one of those books where a little communication goes a long way.

The Girl Next Door by C. Jordan
Hello Sci Fi and Hot bodyguard, sign me up! Fun, steamy read.

Bath Bomb by Clara Leigh (Forbidden Bad Boys)
I'll be honest Has no clue what a towel model was and frankly still don't. But this twisted little story was loads of fun to read. M/M action, so read at your own risk.

In the Spotlight by Ally Decker
Movie Star + everyday girl thrown into scandal, what could possibly go right? This story was actually pleasantly surprising and a nice nod to Broadway.

Play by Olivia Devon
By far my favorite storyline of the entire anthology. If you only read this one is worth it. Loads of truly geeky stuff with all the virtual reality and nice character development.

Not going to lie, I bought this solely for the Clara Leigh story in this boxed set. Bath Bomb is a red hot, scorching weekend with two guys and a girl stranded in a snow-bound cottage, with sexual tension ramped so high it's amazing it didn't actually melt said snow. Bath Bomb gets a full blown 5 stars.

Ally Decker isn't a name I'd even heard of, but her contribution, In The Spotlight, is also awesome. I have a weakness for actors (and rock stars), especially when they get knotted up in morality clauses issues - real or imagined - and this story also gets a happy 5 * from me. It had just the right amount of sweet and sexy, with a promise of more tales from the same pen.

I genuinely enjoyed all the stories, and think this is a solid boxed set. An overall 4.5* from me.

Fall Quiet by Zoe York: These two are sexy together, I loved this whole story, Quinn and Leah are such great characters. Ms. York did a great job of setting up a novella in a way that even if you haven’t read other books in this series or by Ms. York because I loved the whole world and the other characters.
The Adorkable and the Geek by Sidney Bristol: Nate and Cara have loved each other since they were kids, but when they finally admit it as adults it takes a little bit of growing pains to make it work. Ms. Bristol brought a great addition to her Gone Geek series, it had me on the edge of my seat waiting for a happily ever after.
The Girl Next Door by C. Jordan: Next door neighbors who fall in love is a favorite trope and Derek and Katie are very adorable together. I enjoyed all the cosplay aspects and loved Derek’s family, I will definitely be checking out the Forrester series! The chemistry with these two is amazing, and there is a lot of heart between Kate and Derek and I highly recommend this novella.
In the Spotlight by Ally Decker: Sylvia meets Greg Abrams in an alley, and then they are off on this pretend relationship that feels so real. These two are great together, I liked them both. I really liked Greg’s character and the secondary characters and will be picking up the new series.
Play by Olivia Devon: This is an unconventional romance because the majority of it takes place in Virtual Reality and I loved that. I loved how much the author had to think things out and I definitely appreciated all of her thoughts and would love to read more books that feature HyperLyfe. I highly recommend the love story between Aaron and Katie.
Overall Some Like it Geek is amazing, it’s a great collection of authors and I definitely highly recommend it!

Well, this is a hard one to review. My first instinct is to give it a 2 star. But I respect the authors for their talent and effort.
My review is subjective. I am fine with explicit sex but these are more porn and outside my confort zone.
I tried 3 of the stories, and by the time I got to the menage , I gave up.
Still, for those that like stories closer to porn , menage etc, then this will be one for you.
I was gifted this book by Netgalley and one of authors. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This set of stories has everything your geeky little romantic heart desires (or is that just my geek showing) VR, Comics, Comic Con, Star Wars etc..... Loved it! Love my Military as well and lucky me just about every story has a sexy Navy SEAL Awesomeness. Overall this set was extremely entertaining, laugh out loud fun, emotionally driven romantic geeky adventures that I for one loved reading.

Fall Quiet by Zoe York
Extremely hot second chance romance… They spark several months earlier and by some act of fate run into each other again and the attraction is so much stronger.

To Score or Not to Score by Angela Quarles
High School friends reconnect and find they have a strong connection and a blossoming romance begins. Was a very fun and sweet romance.

The Adorkable Girl and the Geek by Sidney Bristol
How do you tell your best friend you want so much more than just a strong friendship? Love a friends to so much more romance. Very entertaining.

The Girl Next Door by C. Jordan
Sexy Hot Romance with a lot of fun elements and an entertaining short read.

Bath Bomb by Clara Leigh
Exciting and very sexy hot romantic trio. Loved the building of the charters and anticipation.

In the Spotlight by Ally Decker
Sylvia and Greg are so adorable, sexy and relatable. Loved the Broadway elements in this fast passed but no less entertaining story.

Play by Olivia Devon

Ok if you like Geeky, Interesting, fun, and wildly Sexy , then this book is for you! I got this book because I am a huge fan of anything Angela Quarles does! She did not let me down!!! Her story was passionate ( just enough sex). Her characters, Pepper and Luke were well written and you felt like you had known them forever! I was Luke's Cheerleader from the start!! I loved the history that they shared and over came !! As always Angela gave me something to look forward to! She also gave me a new sport to explore!!! Huge sports fan of many different types!!Looks like Hubby and I will be looking up Hurling games!!
Fall Quiet, was a very well written story. I enjoyed the sexy scenes and the moving relationship of Quinn and Leah! Leah was tough on outside soft in the inside and Quinn was eager to please! She was working in a man's world and that had let her down but she was smart and strong enough to move on. Quinn was the best thing for her and she him!!!
Sidney Bristol's story was ok, I think it was just me though! I had a hard time connecting to the characters! Cara was too needy. Nate was a typical guy who wanted to be a protector.
C, Jordan's story was Great! Loved Katie and Derek!! Katie had such a good heart! They had great chemistry together (both in sex and life) but both needed healing. They brought out the best in each other.

Clara Leigh, the story is not my type of story.
Ally Decker, the story is so sweet and sexy! good read.
Olivia Devon, this story is good in the sense that sometimes in life things are not what they areally are. Sexy!!! Especially in virtual world. Nice read and explores the virtual reality games and how it can effect the real world!

To Geek or Not to Geek! I say Get Your Geek ON!

I absolutely love boxed sets. They are light on the pocketbook but GREAT on the writing. I usually am introduced to them through one of my favorite authors but have found other Authors who then get added to my favorites list. This set was no acceptation! Thank You Zoe York!!! LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Fall Quiet!

Not all of the stories in this set were my cup of tea so I just skipped over those stories. Overall, I found the set enjoyable to read. Other's have commented on the geekiness or lack thereof. I, however, find that we each have our own inner geek, in one form or another, just waiting to come out. I guess I was able to see that in each story and its characters. Sometimes, that makes the stories even more fun to read.

I also loved the fact that there were several stories of Navy Seals. I am always a sucker for a military story and any guy in uniform, especially since they put their lives on the line every day so that I can sit here and enjoy something as simple as reading this awesome boxed set.

You will NOT be displeased with the purchase of this set. You may find a new author that you love, [hint, hint Zoe York! ] a new book boyfriend, or girlfriend, or even a new series that you just HAVE to read and follow [SEALs Undone would be a great one.]

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this set.

This set of geek-themed romances was awesome. They ranged from vanilla to menage and some light BDSM, but each one had its own steam factor. The geek references were fun, Dungeons and Dragons, cosplay, techno, intertwined with hunky ex-seals and hot billionaires made each story a smoking hot read. I really enjoyed each book on its own merits. Great set to have.

This is a great collection of stories. This review is for Fall Quiet by Zoe York. This is a hot, steamy read and I loved Quinn and Leah. It was great to see Leah be the dominant one mostly in charge and Quinn, the big bad Navy SEAL, willing to do anything to please her. Their two chance encounters lead to so much more than either of them expected and I loved that.
