He’s almost to me and I breathe relief, reaching for his hand. Our fingers touch, cold meeting hot. A scream pierces the fog and the world explodes, brick and dirt raining down from the sky. A shadow emerges from the edges and I can’t run to or away from it if I wanted to. The world rumbles beneath my feet and I fall back into an endless cloud of darkness. ***
Y’all! My heart is seriously stuck in my throat after that ending. That seriously crazy, what the heck ending. I had tears falling. Oh my heart!!
But let's start from the beginning, shall we? I had my reservations with how THE GIRL WHO PUNCHED BACK ended. I was worried for my peoples and if they were escaping one bad dude for a different one. Could things actually get worse for them? Had this once bad dude changed his ways and made a turn from the dark side? I guess there was only one way to find out, huh? So I did. I read and read and read. And in the end, I am still on the fence about once bad dude. I guess only time will tell.
This book had me all out of sorts. And yet again, it was a good thing. I love what this series does to me. I love the feels it pulls forth and the way it twists my insides with fear of what is lurking with the next twist of the story. So many twists. So many emotions. So much goodness.
I am not sure if this is a quick read or just so dang good I don’t want to put it down. I am going to go with “just so dang good”. Because it is. I am happily calling this one of my most favorite series ever and I am just halfway through. With the way each book is headed, I can easily assume it will continue to best the previous one. But as I start book 4, I am wondering if I should slow my pace to prolong the ending from coming. I am scared to be done with this series before I am even done!! Ahhh!!
THE GIRL WHO KICKED A** seriously kicked a lot of a** throughout the book. The story, the romance, the tears...it was absolutely everything!! 5 Stars!!
This series just gets better and better. I spent most most of this book trying to figure out who were the good guys and who were the bad guys. The story just sucked me in and i stayed up late finishing the book. At the end of book 2 Alex and her friends climb aboard the helo and end up back with a "kinder" General Erwin. In book 3 Now Alex and Erwin are on the same side and want to take Alex's sister and her corporation down. I loved reading about Alex and her friends as a rebel fighters. Of course Alex has a run in with her Dad and sister in the book and we run into other friends or are they enemies. Angel keeps confusing me...great job. I really need to read the next book to find out.
Holy crap things are just getting more and more complicated and dangerous for Alex and her family. Now that she’s joined/created the resistance and made all her friends into a family unit she can’t bare the thought of losing any of them and is determined to take down her sister. I still wish she would just admit that she’s in love with Wyatt, she sure seems to at least to me. She and Cole find themselves falling apart after everything they’ve been through and the revelation of what Jane has done to Chloe. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
This one didn't seem as fast pace to me, but it was still an extremely enjoyable read. The characters had more downtime in this one where their lives weren't always at stake. The story progressed even if the action seemed to wain a little from the previous (until the end). Oh god that ending. It tore up my heart.
Unbelievably awesome as always. This continuation doesn’t let you stop reading at any time unless you’re at the end. Love anything by this author. Received a free copy and reviewed because it was superb.
The action still continues without feeling forced or pressured. A few twists along the way, I'm still trying to recover from the ending! lol I need to get book 4 of this cracking series!
Can't believe that happened omg what a twist I cannot wait to see what happens next I would absolutely suggest you read this series !!! On to the next one
Wow...I am absolutely devouring this series and recommend anyone who likes the post apocalyptic genera to give this set a try. Alex is thrown into a whole new world and shows her strengths and weaknesses honestly. Great writing and story development. The characters have great chemistry and I would definitely love to see this as a mini Netflix series!!
Loving this series, can't wait for the next book to come out. I just wish the books were a bit longer. Full of twists & turns, friends become foes & foes could potentially turn out to be friends.
Mind blowing. This book is so full of twists and surprises. It was breath holding, action packed. I only took a breath when I reached the last sentence. Then it was as full fledge scream of NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I have eve3n gone and pre-ordered the next in the series, The Girl Who Kissed the Sun. I so love this series!!!!!
This picks up right after book 2 and just keeps the action going. Alex and her friends are not sure they can trust the General but also not sure that they shouldn't. The enemy of my enemy, is my friend??? They get a plan going and start putting it into action. Things are never easy, and this seems to be especially true in the post-apocalyptic world. I have really loved the story so far, and can't believe the ending of this one. Please tell me book 4 will be out soon. I can't wait to see what happens next!!
I couldn't wait to read this book after reading the first 2 books. The book draws you in and won't let go until after you read every last page. I am still trying to figure out who the good guys and bad guys are. People change sides fast in this series. Oh and the ending just left me anxious for the next book.
