Usagi goes from village darling to castle clown, but that's not going to stop her from doing her best! She's going to get her man and become a ninja, and not even two super-skilled shinobi beauties can stop her!
Usagi is the granddaughter of the leader of a prestigious ninja village, but she's such a klutz that she's never made it out of the kiddie class. Frustrated with Usagi's lack of progress, her grandfather sends her to marry Lord Hanzo and have lots of ninja babies. But the lord has no interest in her or her childbearing potential!
Usagi must decide whether she'll continue to hold on to her feelings for Hanzo or give up and marry Yuki instead. She becomes even more torn when Yuki reveals that the mysterious ninja who saved Usagi earlier may have been Hanzo himself...!
She is a Japanese manga artist who does mainly shojo manga. Her works are primarily serialized in Margaret magazine, with series published in collected volumes by Shueisha, though she has also been featured in fellow Shueisha publication Ribon, as well as illustrating the novel adaptation of her own Stepping on Roses series in Cobalt.
Yes yes yes!!1 And yes NO No No! This volume was good in a way but also very frustrating. Ieyasu: How could you?! Usagi is placed in the most dangerous place for her yet. Nobunaga and Ranmaru vs her! And she is all alone this time! I was so nervous for her. This series has been such a roller coaster! How are they going to wrap this up? I am both eager and concerned for the final volume.
This one was awsome. I knew Hanzo was still alive! Yeah! Die Oda Nobunaga. Anymay....Oda how dare you try to touch Usagi like that! Keep your hands to yourself!
As we're getting to the end of the series, I'm glad to see that Usagi is still competent in many ways, though in staying true to her character, still also very naive. I did like exploring Nobunga's character, but he's still an a**.
So for this second to last volume, now I'm noticing that every time Usagi gets in a life or death experience, a hero has to come and save her, which is now getting predictable for me.
Story Line: 5 stars out of 5. Yuki and Usagi start to plan for their wedding. As events happen throughout the story Usagi still realizes that her heart still belongs to Hanzo. Usagi eventually meets with Hanzo again. He wants revenge against Nobunga. He killed everyone who cared about him. It is pointless getting revenge. Revenge causes more revenge. It is a vicious cycle. Usagi eventually decides she wants to poison Nobunga, but she can't bring herself to do it.
