The ninja adventures continue with Naruto’s son, Boruto!
Naruto was a young shinobi with an incorrigible knack for mischief. He achieved his dream to become the greatest ninja in his village, and now his face sits atop the Hokage monument. But this is not his story... A new generation of ninja is ready to take the stage, led by Naruto's own son, Boruto!
Boruto gets through round two of the Chunin Exam and receives praise from his father. But what Naruto doesn’t know is that his son is cheating by using prohibited ninja tools. What will happen to Boruto when the truth is revealed? Meanwhile, darker forces are advancing behind the scenes…
Masashi Kishimoto (岸本斉史 Kishimoto Masashi) is a Japanese manga artist, well known for creating the manga series Naruto. His younger twin brother, Seishi Kishimoto, is also a manga artist and creator of the manga series O-Parts Hunter (666 Satan) and Blazer Drive. Two of his former assistants, Osamu Kajisa (Tattoo Hearts) and Yuuichi Itakura (Hand's), have also gone on to moderate success following their work on Naruto.
Kishimoto's first work as a manga artist was Karakuri (カラクリ?), which he submitted to Shueisha in 1995. This earned him the Weekly Shōnen Jump's monthly "Hop Step Award" in 1996, granted to promising new manga artists. This was followed in 1997 by a pilot version of Naruto (NARUTO-ナルト-), published in Akamaru Jump Summer. In 1998, Kishimoto premiered as a Weekly Shōnen Jump artist with a serialized version of Karakuri in Weekly Shōnen Jump, but it proved unpopular and was canceled soon after. In 1999, a serialized version of Naruto began publication in Weekly Shōnen Jump and quickly became a hit.
Loss, shame, guilt and regret are a WONDERFUL story ingredient just so long as there’s a sliver of hope of redemption.
I really liked this Boruto volume for how it slipped us on a trajectory to greatness.
Yeah, yeah, it felt like Sasuke and Naruto did most of the work, and it’s true, but sometimes the underpowered weakling is just what we need to turn the tables.
Boruto continues to surprise me and confuse any expectations I have based off of Naruto. I have to keep reminding myself that it’s a different author (not that it is a bad thing). I’m still torn on how I feel about a lot of the character designs. On the one hand, I love that you can tell who is whose kid, but on the other I feel like kids wouldn’t dress so similarly to their parents, given half a choice. Though admittedly I don’t love how the original character designs look either (they remind me too much of the filler characters in the Naruto TV series).
Really great continuation from the first volume. I do remember liking the bond between Naruto and Boruto when I read this the first time now, but I still don’t remember the actual plot elements lol. Really like the Ohtsutsuki characters too, they seem really interesting.
4 stars I like where the story is headed and the art is good too! It’s different and still heartwarming as Naruto. Although I love Naruto I just can’t seem to like Boruto, he is such a brat.
Ps wtf! The mangaka made Hinata so different from the Naruto series, does he have a short hair girl complex ? Her clothing too ugh Hinata is beautiful and deserves to be portrait as such!
Its a continuation of Boruto as he goes for the chunnin exams but is caught when Naruto sees he is using that ninja tool and he gets hot headed and when Kinshiki and Momoshiki Oototsuki attack Naruto has to go to his Kurama form and for the first time Boruto sees how awesome his dad is and when he is taken, its one of the greatest moments when Boruto self realizes and has to grow up and see how awesome his sad was and go for rescuing his dad with the other kages. Its a great character realization moment and just shows Boruto while hot headed is finally growing up as he should have. The next volume promises to be even more awesome with them vs Kinshiki!
Poor naruto, he was so proud of boruto and then he finds out that boruto was cheating. I love how sasuke was protecting Sarada. And the battle at the end was so amazing. You can really see how amazing sasuke and naruto are together as a team. And poor hinata. She really tried to protect naruto and boruto. She really do love them so much. And it's also typical for hinata to always jump in front of enemy to save naruto. They really are amazing together. And of course the manga ends with a cliffhanger.

I really enjoyed the first volume, but this one was even better. The relationship between Naruto and Boruto takes centre stage as the Chunin Exam continues, only to go awry (stop holding these in Konoha, seriously) when Kaguya's clan attack. I really thought some of this stuff would unfold over numerous volumes, so the fast pace is a refreshing change.
this was good. boruto is progressing into a likeable character. the raikage is so fucking fine. wish they didn’t make gaara so dusty. i wanna learn more about shinki
I think that boruto has shown a lot of his ignorance in this volume, but also showed his grit and potential to become a ninja. I think that what I got from this is that, ignorant people show more potential than good people, since they have a lot of ways to improve, and I think that this is the advantage that boruto has. He will show us his improvement throughout the volumes and chapters. I hope to see more fights though, because it seems a bit boring. I really hate people who are like boruto, a bit spoiled and very ignorant, but I'm excited to see him change. I also hope to see more of Sarada and Mitsuki.
Sorry to be left with a bit of a cliffhanger (though I know what happens from the movie and anime), I’ll have to grab the next two volumes from the library. Nothing new since it was covered better and in more detail in animation, but it’s action packed and things are building to some excitement.
I can’t believe I’m giving this book a 5 star 🤣 I NEVER thought I would give Boruto a positive rating but here we are! This book was actually really good and I’m really liking Sasuke in this series. My hopes aren’t high for this series but I’m glad it’s starting strong.
the book "Boruto Naruto Next Generations vol. 2" is about when Boruto and his squad complete the second part of the chunin exams. my honest opinion about this book is a 8/10. The reason it's not a 10/10 is because there are some flaws in my opinion. One of the flaws is that the book only introduces konohagakures students, but they need to introduce yodo, shinki, and araya. A good quote in this book is when Naruto says to boruto" you're... not worthy of being a ninja" when he caught him cheating. the climax is when momoshiki and kinshiki come to get the nine tails. this was a good book in my opinion and about 195 pages. i recommend this book to anyone who loves the series naruto and has either watched all of it and/or read it.
Buona lettura
In this book the main character Uzumaki Boruto gets trough round two of his Chunin Exam and in the Chunin Exam ninja tools are prohibited and Boruto used them during round 1,But his father Uzumaki Naruto does not know that his son Uzumaki Boruto is using prohibited ninja tools, while the exam is happening darker forces are advancing towards to capture chakra (which is a power source that they all have to generate they're powers or Jutsus. fruit which means They'll have to kidnap Uzumaki Naruto.I also really like this book I personally think its great I will rate it 5 starts since i really love this book and the drawing design.
I like this and I would probably recommend it to my brother my cousins and my friends at school since most of us like the series and the original series which features Uzumaki Naruto and I think they'll really like to read this book since its to they're liking and expectations.

I’m warming up to these guys! I’m loving Sasuke. Still figuring out who Naruto is. Boruto is growing on me.
I think one of the big challenge of “next generation“ stories is that you have to somehow make the new kids awesome without making the original characters not awesome as adults. You can’t tarnish your originals without making people mad*. And particularly in a series like this that heavily relied on kids saving the day**, I think the authors have to figure out how to balance having awesome parents and awesome kids at the same time. It might actually be in the first chapter of the next volume (they run together when you can read chapter after chapter online!), but I have some confidence they’re going to be able to do this.
So, onward we go!
*They’re pushing it with Sakura! **Okay, there were good adults too, like Kakashi and Guy and the Hokage “ghosts,” but I don’t think we read the books (or watched the anime) for the adults!
What an exciting volume in the Boruto manga series! I think this Naruto story ark might even be slightly better than the original Naruto & Naruto Shippuden (although we are still pretty early in the series to truly tell). I love the fact that we get a glimpse in everyday life around the Leaf Village and the ninja academy, an aspect that we didn't really get to experience with the previous Naruto series - since they spent more time going on missions rather than staying in the village. You would think that village life would be boring, but as this volume shows, life around the Leaf Village is anything but.
I keep seeing comparisons between Boruto and Naruto (anime) about how Boruto is so peaceful and very slow-paced. In truth, Boruto's manga is super fast-paced. I mean in this volume planet-destroying aliens show up. I also get that this is supposed to be a continuation of Naruto. During the Chunin Exams, mysterious beings called Momoshiki and Kinshiki appear and threaten the village and the entire world. I really liked this volume in general.
First manga I've read in a while we'll in such a quick time under my normal time might time my self xperia xa1 is easier than it was on my previous xperia phones the kindle I have is heavy so quick reading is difficult but great for dc comics and more comic style also adds extra fun on shonen jump titles that impact the is better on the big screen
The story so far has followed the Boruto film. I am really enjoying it so far. Boruto finally figures out what it means to be a ninja and that his father is more than a person behind a desk. I was really excited to se the other Kage and Sasuke work together with Boruto to rescue Naruto. I guess it’s just the fan in me. A solid addition to the Boruto story.
