What if you really were transported to a fantasy world and expected to kill monsters to survive?

No special abilities, no OP weapons, no status screen to boost your stats. Never mind finding the dragon’s treasure or defeating the Demon Lord, you only need to worry about one thing—how to stay alive.

Book 2: Welcome To Fengarad

Colin and his party have managed to survive the introduction to this new world. Now they just have to find civilisation. It has to be hiding around here somewhere.

Once again the second book is extremely interesting, it’s different and I find myself laughing and completely absorbed. I have quickly found myself hooked by this story line. Between the characters and the lack of massively overpowered skills or pumped up stats it has been a fun and easy read. The books keep you interested on wanting to know what could possibly happen to these characters next!
This one was way more humorous and I enjoyed it more than the first which I liked a great deal. Glad to see it gets better and I hope the trend continues.

Enjoyable

Once again the second book is extremely interesting, it’s different and I find myself laughing and completely absorbed. Sadly it’s basically an hour read. I would have much rather simply purchased all 6 books as one and had it treated like subsections. It’s short and easy to read...on to book 3.

Great story, funny reading, had me laughing outloud more than once, and even leaves me wanting to continue the series.
It could do with more proofreading (same old problem with understood seemingly being the only form of the verb), and missing prepositions from time to time, but otherwise, it was quite enjoyable, and I recommend it to those looking for a gamelit story that is entertaining.

Doesn't always make perfect sense, but is a fun read

It's been bothering me, the age of the protagonist versus his worldly wisdom and wit. He seems entirely too smart for a teenager. And his decisions often seem out-of-character.

Nevertheless, its a very nice bit of escapist fantasy that delves into some dark places at times, for a nice sweet-n-sour mix.

good read

These books are very short, but are constantly making me laugh out. The group faces quite a lot in this one. And we see more of the personalities of each member of the group. Again read this in less than a day. Unfortunately I think my Amazon is maxed out. I will have to pay a bill before I can buy the next one.

Another Fine Entry into the Series

As Colin and his companions learn more about the world they have been thrust into, they begin to level up in many ways. It isn't all about slaying, but sometimes it is. I love the character development in this series. Can't wait to read Book 3.

Good read

I really like this series. I feel it is a bit pricey for the size of the read per episode. It hasn't kept me from buying #2 after free #1. I also intend to get #3. We will see if the trend continues. That is my only critique. Other than that thoroughly enjoyable.

More hilarity and nerdish references to Monty Python among others. Amazing how well the “Losers” do for themselves because they’re not afraid to look dumb - they’ve been accused of that for too long and ask all the right questions. Love this series.

This was a good book, it had me laughing out loud. The main character is still a dick, just in case you read my first review, but he is like athlete foot, he grows on you.

Good, but short.

I enjoy the story and characters, but don't think the price is justified when there is sooo much good reading on KU.

If you're expecting the books to get better, they don't. It gets worse if anything, situations seems more arbitrary and the group survives more because of plot armor than anything else.
