This is a laugh out loud romance full of clichés as Princess Perripraxis endeavours to thwart her father's dastardly plans to marry her off as part of deals with other planetary rulers. She escaped such plans once, that's how she and her sister ended up on earth, but now her Father is coming to get her and only if she's already committed to marry someone else will she be able to stay. That's when she has the brainwave of pretending to be engaged to Brandt Turner, a bartender, her friend and someone who already knows that she's an Alien. However, he's never seen her au natural, scales and all, as she wears a special cloaking device which makes her appear human . . . . With her power mad Father, alien soldiers, will Brandt help her escape?

If you can think of anything such a story might have, it is probably in this one - even Queen Elizabeth of England plays a role in the story. You definitely need to suspend your disbelief and then you can jump on board this spacecraft novel for a hilarious, science fiction, romantic adventure!

His Fake Alien Fiancée is a cute and fun alien romance.

Perri’s father is coming to Earth and he plans on taking her and her sister back to their planet. But Perri doesn’t want to leave, Earth is just better. So she must find someone that would be willing to marry her alien self. And that is where Brandt steps in. He’s her best friend and then her fake fiancee.

Like any type of situation, such as this. You start to grow feelings for the other person. In turn, it turns a fake fiancee, into maybe a real fiancee.

This was a fun read but it took me awhile to get through. I’m not a huge fan of Third POV. I’ve grown to love some authors who do write that way. But I have to be in the mood for it. The writing though is excellent. The humor and love did show throughout this story. And there are little twists along the way.

Overall, It’s Four Boundless Stars from me.

Another 'Out of this World' novel, I loved it. This is Perri and Brandt's story. Corri and Perri are now living on Earth and both seem to be very happy. But then Perri finds out that there father is arriving soon. Now she is worried. Her father is cruel and wants her to go back with him so that he can arrange her marriage. She doesn't want that. So she lied to her father and told him that she is already engaged to a human... Now all she needs is to find a fiance.
Brandt likes Perri. She is an alien but she is smart, funny, loving, and compassionate. They've been friends since the day she arrived on Earth. She needs his help so he decides to be her fake fiance until her father leaves. Soon he realizes that there is nothing fake about his love for her. But is he really worth of someone like her... an alien princess, who happens to be a genius?
It's a very entertaining read. I quite enjoyed it. Story is lighthearted and have enough twists and turns to keep readers interested. It's a must read for anyone who enjoys a good romantic comedy, that happens to be a sci-fic as well.

His Fake Alien Fiancee is the kind of book that makes you want to do a sort of flail, maybe wave your hands, slap your thigh, giggle out loud and tell your friends about. It is just downright funny for one thing. I mean seriously, laugh out loud. Just like its predecessor, this was a wonderful romp through what could happen if worlds collided.

Peri was just as delightful a character as her sister was before her, yet her personality and voice shown through splendidly as she navigated her way through life on Earth, and the romance that came with it. Brandt may not have been the stereotypical perfect man, but he was perfect for her. I mean, he loved her, scales and all haha, even if it took a while for him to realize it. A hilarious while.

"If you don't shut up and start having sex with me, I am going to die. Right here. On this table. And then how are you going to explain that tomorrow?" "I have no idea." "Then quit talking and sexual intercourse me already!" "Yes, ma'am."

Can't nobody say that Peri isn't a girl who knows what she wants, and absolutely nobody would dare to say that she doesn't reach out and take it. She's stood aside, she's put her needs behind others for too long, and it is high time that she gets the attention and the life she deserves.

Oh but this is just a marvelous world Patricia Eimer has created, and the town has made a place in my heart with its zany characters, aliens and all. I can't wait to see what this series holds for me next! ~ George, 5 Stars

4,5 Stars

I’m very pleased to say that my quest of looking for new authors and stories if going great, especially because I found this awesome, hilarious and fantastic story about aliens, humans and intergalactic wars. Think of it as Men in Black being a romantic comedy… Which is exactly what I was looking for, even if I never thought about it in my life, I mean, who wouldn't want to read a romance between a sexy human and a beautiful scaled alien? Well, I do, and I highly recommend to read it too, because it’s funny, sexy, romantic, it has a little of alien family drama, a man madly in love with an alien and some crazy alien-human negotiations to maintain intergalactic peace.

In Her Fake Alien Fiancée , Princess Perripraxis Malatesta, daughter of the emperor of the Capridocian Empire, intergalactic heiress, AKA Perri Porters, has been living on earth for a few months, sharing an apartment with her twin alien sister, Corripraxis, and working as a waitress in the local diner of a little town near Roswell, NM, a town full of aliens hidden under the disguise of human skin. Her life was simple, she worked, she spent time with her only friend Brandt, and went back home to maybe be with her sister or maybe, most likely, listen to her while she had “ very loud human intercourse” * chuckles * ... but yeah, her life on earth was fine, especially because she was far away from her father, the awful emperor who did awful things to her and her sister in the past— I didn’t read the previous book of the series, Out of This World , but I think all Perri’s perspective on the past events are revealed in this book, so I was not lost at all —and she felt safe and independent.

Until her intercom beeped…. With a call from her father.... Saying he’d come for her and her sister to continue with the plans he had for them and she said they couldn’t leave earth because they both found their soulmates and were engaged and they wouldn’t leave… So her father did what any father, alien or human, would do— or at least that’s what I thought he was doing —he said he’d come to earth to meet the human fiancees and if they were really soulmates, he had to bond with them. And Perri was screwed… Because she didn’t have a boyfriend, hence she didn’t have a fiancee, but she thought of asking Brandt, her best friend, the human who was helping understand human behavior and teaching her how to act like a human, to be her fake human fiancee…

And this is when things get interesting in the story, but I won’t tell you much more about it, but I can recommend you to get this book and find out by yourself how this story ends, because I assure you’ll enjoy it as much as I did, you’ll laugh your ass off with the absurdity of this story, with the innocent mind of the alien girl, her crazy comments and actions and most of all, you’ll fall in love with Perri and Brandt, the most adorable human-alien couple I’ve ever read.

This book had me rolling on the floor. Literally, I was on my bed but I was still rolling with laughter with this one. Ms. Eimer has written a flat out hilarious sci-fi romantic comedy that you will laugh, swoon, sigh, cry and then cheer in the end. As one knows, I don’t read sci-fi that much but lately, the books that are in the genre are hitting all of my buttons. Let me tell you what I loved about this one:

Perri – she is a delight. Raised as an alien princess with a horrible father, terrific siblings and a wonderful mother. In fact, she and Corri were tutored in Earth ways but once they came to Earth, everything they learned was wrong. Oh yes, reading about this, my hand flew up to my face in horror and then laughter. She realizes that she is the “spare” and just takes whatever anyone tells or does to her as her lot in life. Once she is on Earth, she decides that enough is enough. Finally standing on her own two feet, she fights for what she wants and that’s her life on Earth.
Brandt – I love him. He makes no bones about who he is and what he wants out of a relationship with a woman. Too bad, Charity he’s ex never got the memo. I did, however, fell kinda bad for her…until… Grrrr! In the end, he is a standup guy and only wants the best for Perri. He just never realized that Perri is the kind of woman that he can commit to. Scales and all. In fact, that’s they one thing that he truly loves about her. She’s an alien but she’s the most “real” woman that he has ever known. *swoon*
Atomic Springs (the town) – You gotta love a town that knows about Area 51, the relocation of aliens and that the local diner is run by a Martian. I loved Flo and would like to get to know her better. I also liked that the story refers to Roswell, too. You need to sorta kinda suspend some of her belief in the story but it’s worth it.
The pacing is fast and I loved the countdown headers for each chapter. I also liked Ms. Eimer’s writing. It’s light, humorous, snarky but most of all real. Even though there are aliens in the book, they are very real. They have real emotions, problems, familial dysfunction and just want to be left alone to live their life.
So in the teasers above, they are talking about sex. There is sex in the book and referenced very humorously. Perri doesn’t understand much except what she was taught by the “documentaries” that the tutor saw fit, so it is funny. When it comes time for Perri to lose her “earth virginity”, it’s sweet, emotional and definitely swoon worthy. The aftermath is cute but…Brandt is an idiot.
Do yourself a favor and pick up this book to read. It’s funny, sexy, real and above all…just plain fun. It’s on my keeper shelf and I highly recommend it to even the read that hates reading sci-fi. You are definitely missing out on this one.

This spacey tale told from Earth will make you laugh out loud, cringe at the misunderstandings (of all kinds), and just plain fall in love with this rollercoaster of a relationship. I swear it's like reading an episode of I Dream of Jeannie wrapped in some Men in Black and a little Young and the Restless on the side. But it all ends in a Happily Ever After you'll be sad to see. I hope the girls' brother gets his own Earth girl because this series is just too much fun to end.
Brandt Turner finds himself included in a precarious situation thanks to Princess Perri and her family but that's okay because he wants Perri to know someone finally has her back--no one is going to push her around anymore. Though it's Perri who shows them all it's okay to need your friends and gain a little backbone. This is a new to me author and I can't wait to read more from her.

My thanks to Entangled Pub. and Netgally for allowing me to read this fabulous story.

This is my first time ever reading anything from this author but it's definitely not going to be my last. I absolutely enjoyed this book!!! Even though there were some references from the previous book that had me a little bit confused since I haven't read the first book in the series. Fortunately, that didn't take away from the story I was still able to follow along pretty well. I found Perri to be freaking hilarious and the fact that she and her sister Corri use Jennifer Aniston movies as a reference to earthlings customs was priceless I laugh so hard my stomach hurt. This book had a great mixes of humour, mystery, and of course steamy romance. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books in this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC I haven't been compensated in any way.

I just loved this book. It was so exciting and fun to read. Lots of action and humor. I love those alien romances. They have such interesting stuff in them. This was so enjoyable. Her fake romance and the things they can do. I don't want to spoil it so I will just say this is a must read. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it. Love?
After escaping the forced marriage her father arranged that'd help him, but not what she wanted. Perri arrived on Earth with her sister Corri. Now her father wants to force both of them into yet another marriage. But while talking to her father Perri tells him he doesn't need to find them husbands because they've both found their soul-mates. While this is true for her sister Corri, it isn't for Perri! Now she has to find someone in their extremely small town that'll pretend to be her fiancé when her father comes to town in 4 days. However there is only a handful of people besides Agent Fox that know she's an alien.... Her sister, her sisters soul-mate Mattias, their boss at the diner and her husband, Brandt; who happens to not only be Mattias' best friend, but has been Perri's best human friend since she arrived. Brandt had been taught by his mother to be there when he's needed, so he volunteers to help Perri by being her pretend fiancé while her father is in town. However since he's never been the type of relationship guy, just the love 'em and leave 'em type, he didn't plan on cupid's arrow catching him. Perri's father on the other hand doesn't plan to play fair, he's always gotten things his way and has no intention of things going any other way. But Brandt is willing to go as far as it takes for to keep Perri safe and on Earth. To find out how all this comes about you'll have to read HIS FAKE ALIEN FIANCÉE. This is a cute and funny romantic sci-fi alien story. After reading this one, it makes me want to go back and read Patricia's first book of this series OUT OF THIS WORLD. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via IndieSage and Entangled Publishing through NetGalley in exchange for an honest blog tour review.

This book was fun and entertaining. This author wrote a great sci-fi romantic comedy that was the perfect mix of funny and sweet. The characters had great personalities, the love was sweet but not over the top sappy, and the whole book had a feel-good vibe to it (well except for that one part).
This book follows the story of Perri, who is an alien living on Earth under the disguise of a human, and her human friend Brandt, who is willing to 'fake propose' so that she can convince her father to let her remain on Earth. Even without an extensive knowledge of romance books, it's pretty easy to determine that something is going to happen & one of the two is going to develop feelings - it's more just a race to see who develops them first, and who admits them first. That being said, I love reading stories that have fake relationships because it's always interesting to see what spin the author will put out to make it new & exciting. I really enjoyed this book and the way the author incorporated the sci-fi aspect. She wrote this in a way that it wasn't completely overpowered by the alien lives, but rather the new experiences of Perri & Corri lent a hand in the humor aspect of the book. If you're not a fan of the sci-fi genre, I do think you would still enjoy this book.

The pacing of the book was steady throughout so as the reader I really felt that I could get to know the characters. I did not read the first book in the authors Out of this World series, but I think this could be read as a standalone. There are several mentions of people that might have been discussed more in depth in the first one, but it wasn't too hard to infer what happened. That being said, I will probably go back and read the first one - just so I can read more about Corri & Mattias and see how they got to where they were in this book. All-in-all I would recommend this book to anyone who was a fan of a good RomCom, even if they aren't big fans of aliens :)

His Fake Alien Fiancée by Patricia Eimer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was fantastic; it had me laughing from the time I picked it up to the minute I put it down. It was both a paranormal romance and a comedy of sorts.

Perri and Corri were Alien Princesses. It is hilarious throughout the book how the girls are learning to live like humans. Corri had a human soul mate, Mattais. Perri and Brandt were great friends. I love how Brandt steps up to help Perri out when her father comes to earth.

This is the first book I have read of Patricia Eimer's. I will definitely read more work by her.

Thanks to the author and netgalley for the advanced copy of this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This laugh out loud, outer space romance (or so I thought) wasn’t as entertaining as I would have liked. It centres around Princess Perripraxis and her sister, their need to escape forced marriages to only end up on earth .. falling for an earthling and defeating their pint sized father.

It was an okay read for me, nothing special unfortunately.

To Stay or Go

A most unusual and engrossing story of love between a human, who didn’t think marriage was for him, and an intergalactic non-human young princess torn between duty and pleasure. Good read.

Oh. My. Freaking God!!! What a great book it so elegantly written
and what a truly unique romance. This book was an absolute treat
to read. It is book two in the series and I have to go read book one
now. And so ready to see what she writes next.

This book is about Brandt and Perri. Brandt is an ex military man
and human. Now when I say that as Perri is an alien, but she is not
just any alien. She is a princess but most importantly she is Brandt
friend. But her father is a real piece of (well I cannot say what he
really is unless I want my review removed.) But trust me when you
read this book no matter how bad a dad you had. He is nothing
compared to the complete (bleep bleep) her dad is. He wants to
make her marry this alien just to save his hide. And she has to
convince him she has a man. So she runs to her friend for help.
Now they just need to convince him he is the right choice for Perri.
But I will tell you she has an unusual diet and when you find out
you'll laugh and omg the dinner with her dad was just so much fun.
I was Laughing my butt off at some of it and angry at others.

Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope
you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this
book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like
it when you do; they value your opinions too.

Funny and sweet out of this world rom-com!
This is the second in the series and, shockingly, I love Perri and Brandt even more than Mattias and Corri. (Shh, don’t tell them – I still love them too!) It’s hard not to love these characters when they are so fun, open and plagued by over the top issues. There’s a new alien in town and things will never be the same…
“Today was day ninety-four of mornings she’d eventually need therapy for.”
Perri is sweet and loyal, the girl next door who rolls with all the new human-ness she is embracing. There is child-like innocence, and hilarity, when she stumbles over the basics we take for granted. There are foibles and strange routines that are so commonplace that looking at them through a completely unaware set of eyes is funny even as it gently pokes fun at our idiosyncrasies. Like her sister, she was woefully unprepared…
“…their Capridocian tutor Garibaldis had been talking out of his a**.”
As Perri embraces her new life, the last thing she wants is to go back home. Reaching out to her new best friend, Brandt was her only hope…
Brandt… Where do I start with this gentle man with a warrior spirit? He knows his track record with women wasn’t exactly stellar (commitment-phobic much?) but he is completely enamored with his new bestie and would do anything to help her… He is sweet and supportive and all kinds of sexy as he plays a role that comes way too naturally for it not to be real…
“Brandt didn’t need anyone else pointing him down the road to temptation. He already knew all the shortcuts.”
This was a rollicking good time from start to finish as inter-galactic relations meet Lucille Ball meet Prince Charming. It was pop culture meets romance with a huge dose of hilarity for spice. With a romantic couple that made me laugh and cheer on, I hope Perri and Corri have more relatives coming for a visit!
Made me laugh out loud:
“If the woman didn’t want to tell you why she wasn’t fine, you backed you’re a** right up and tried not to make any sudden movements.”

Review:

I just loved the title so I had to pick this one up.

It was what I did and did not expect. I expected it to be fun, light-hearted and it definitely was those things, but on the unexpected side it was a little sexy and had more a emotional punch than I thought it would. I liked that these aliens are aliens. They may wear human disguises but they are true aliens not another alien race where they look the same as us. Plus, they eat metal... One of the other things I loved about this book, was that it was just fun to read and laughed out loud a few times that had my husband looking at me funny. I had not read this Author before or the first book in the series. She made it easy to read these out of order with her references to the previous happenings and inclusion of characters from both books into the story line. Again, her fun and witty dialogue was a major draw for me.

This is a story that delivers exactly what is promised: alien cruelty, humor, laughter, and ultimately love. It's a friends to lovers story with a sci-fi twist that is cleverly masked because being loved for who you are is just as much an alien problem as it is an earth problem.

Perri's a wonderful lead. She and her sister are "educated" in earth ways by their alien tutor except everything they'd been taught is hilariously inaccurate. And they're curiously obsessed with Jennifer Aniston's movies. They refer to them about every earth custom ever, and that often leads to hilarious results. But aside from her quirkiness, she's also not ready to do as she's told anymore. She loves her life on earth and she'll do anything to stay here. The alternative, a marriage arranged by her father, is not what she wants at all.

This is where Brandt comes into play. They've been friends, they like each other, they get along well enough. But he has no idea Perri's really an alien, the kind with colorful scales, not the kind that looks human, lol. Although, she does appear human thanks to a cloaking device so I can see why he has no idea. Brandt's in for a penny, out for a pound when Perri presents her idea of fakin' it 'til her daddy's convinced.

He just never saw all the other-worldliness coming.

Like I said, this story gave exactly what the synopsis promised. It isn't dark or bloody. It isn't about a male alien main character. It's humorous, innocent (surprisingly so), and sweet. You'll laugh and smile your way through Perri's adventures of finding love with the best man meant for her.

3.5*

Posted on What I'm Reading

When I started His Fake Alien Fiancée, I wasn't sure what I got myself into, other than the title and the cover caught my attention. When I started reading the story, I felt I was missing something, which I was. So, I would recommend reading Out of This World first, because there are somethings I would have benefit knowing. Anyway, we are going to press forward.

So, I read His Fake Alien Fiancée and I wasn't sure if I was going to keep going. I was considering quitting the book about 21%, but I continued on. You know what the story grew on me. Not something I would normally read, but it was interesting. We have Brandt who is emotionally stunted. He chooses to lack the ability of committing, because of what his father did when his wife was dying of cancer. So, he used women and women let him. However, when he was around Perri he restrain himself. So nice of him. Anyway, Perri is alien princess and there is more on how she ended up on this planet. She's still learning the ways of being an earthling.

In some ways I'm glad, I didn't give up on the story. I wasn't sure how I felt about Perri. At the beginning she's not sure about herself, but I did like her character growth. However, it's a little slow, but towards the end I did like her. She's sweet and kind, and a bit wholesome. Brandt I liked in the beginning, but as the book progress I sorta didn't like him. Eventually, he gets his head screwed on right.

Overall, not a bad read. Definitely different. In some aspects it reminded me of Men in Black, so that was kind of cool. Would I read more from this series, the jury is still out. However, I was interested in reading the book, because the cover who knows.

Super Cute!

And can you say FUNNY!

Let's just say Princess Perri's misinformation about how things are on Earth makes for some freaking hilarious moments(believable and real once you buy into the fact she's an alien- it's fiction after all)

Although I felt the beginning and the continuity was a pinch rough at the start, it did not lessen my enjoyment of the book in any way. The sassy cover fits (almost) perfectly and I caution you to set time aside to read this once you start. I didn't want to put it down.

This was easy to read, yet filled with great details and descriptions. The characters are well developed both human and alien. And I loved the fact that humans(some) know about the cloaked aliens living among them.

I'm a total fan girl!

I'm dying of laughter. The author has taken some of the biggest cliches in the book world, including alien/human lovers and the word voted least enjoyable in a romance "moist", and just shook it all up. A sweet and steamy romance but a comedy at the same time. I think Daria called it best in the phone call scene "alien rom-com". There were moments i wanted to throttle Brandt and Corri, moments i wanted to tell at Perri, i definitely wanted to do Corri and Perri's father, and Charity.... now that was the biggest mock of a romcom cliche ever. I love Atomic Springs and the people in this book. I want more of this town..... starting with buying Out of This World, the predecessor to this book (which if you haven't figured it out, reading book one might've given me more back story and meat, it wasn't needed as each can stand firmly on their own merits)

Review:

Honestly I wasn't expecting much from this book, despite cheery cover image and an equally amusing plot description and a title that matches it all. The plot has been beautifully written with the perfect balance of humour, drama and of course romance. The characters from two opposite spectrum, literally, manage to blend their own personality quirks within the plot, thereby keeping the readers engaged till the very end. The narrative style is simple and humorous and yet pays attention to finer details like an alien species and their cultural differences. Instead of the bloody and gory that is usually seen when it comes to anything that is alien, this was unique and uplifting with its intergalactic morality.

My opinion: Will definitely recommend it for a try, especially you are bored of the usual fare of chick lits.

My rating: 4 out of 5

Princess Perripraxis of the Capridocian Empire is better known on Earth as Perri Porters. She followed her sister to Earth just a few months ago and is living in a little town near area 51. Unfortunately her father the Emperor is on his way with an army to drag his daughters away so that he can marry them off to benefit him.
Brandt Turner is one of the few that know there are aliens living in town. His best friend is in love with one and her sister is the only female he has ever called a friend. So when she needs him to pretend to be her fiance, he readily agrees.
This is an absolutely crazy Sci-Fi romantic comedy. It is the second in the series, but you could read it on it's own. The mistakes our heroine make will have you in stitches. Our hero has always been a player and women are his strength and his weakness.
A lively lighthearted read that you can't help but enjoy.

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is apparently book 2 in the Out of this world series I haven't read the first one in the series but I was able to follow the story. I just did not love it. The story was crazy and funny at times. I just did not love the ending it was kind of all over place. Just an okay read for me.

Funny and hysterical and heart-warming! This book is more than a triple threat - it is also a great read! Had to go back and read the first in the series. No spoilers - consider it a space-age, intergalactic romantic screwball comedy.
Received copy from publisher on netgalley.
