An over the top, full to the brim of goodness, mix of hilarity, romance and science fiction!

That uber-science fiction geek inside me is having a moment… and it is delightful!

Catching my eye with that *ahem* artistic cover, I sat down to read this story hoping for a light-hearted futuristic romance with a good dose of sex appeal. What I got was a fish-out-of-water, hilarious romp that had me laughing all the way through. I didn’t spend a lot of time worrying about the details—some things just di

Oh what a surprise this was! Not only was it fresh and quirky, it was sexy, and laugh out loud funny. This is that kind of book that when you finish it, you are so disappointed to come back into the real world. It left me lonely for the antics of Corri and Daria, who made the perfect BFF duo in this crazy tale.

“She'd read a few of Earth's romance novels- Mattias wasn't like any of those men. No one had referred to him as the duke of anything, and he didn't have his own helicopter or an office

ARC Review: Out of This World (Out of This World) by Patricia Eimer

All that is needed to enjoy Out of This World is a vivid imagination, an inquisitive mind and a thirst for a good mystery. Ms. Eimer did the impossible by blending comedy with adventure and sci-fi. Corri is running for her life when she crash lands into even more trouble. Mattias is all for getting to know a beautiful woman but knows there's more to the stranger he stumbles across. Runaway aliens, murderous fiancee's and the blen
I am in a quandary when it comes to reviewing Out Of This World. Let me start with what I'm not struggling with and go from there. The cover – it is great! After reading the blurb, I had firmly in my mind what the lead male character was going to look like. Next is the blurb. I'm really getting into reading SciFi romances and this looked to be something I was going to enjoy. The blurb was definitely hinting at a humorous read. So recap: I have a great cover, SciFi material, humor - a great combo ...more

2.5 stars -- I received a free copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review/opinion.

This book was not a match for me, and to be honest I should have just DNF'd it. But I always feel like I should give books I get for free a bigger shot somehow, and so I pushed forward. I don't know that I can articulate my expectations from the blurb, but it just did not match up with those expectations in the end. I expected a rom-com I guess, and

I’ve read several books in the Entangled Otherworld line which I really enjoyed but the characters (ok aliens) have mostly been humanoid or shifters. I am somewhat ambivalent about this story. The heroine is green. I’m cool with green but leathery green skin covered with scales. Instead of hands and fingers, she has tentacles that end in little sucker pods and spikes instead of hair. That takes a lot of getting over and I really found it hard to.

When she crash lands on modern day Earth (2015), f

OUT OF THIS WORLD was....weird, but I finished it without having to skim through the pages so it wasn't bad.

Patricia Eimer isn't a new author to me and when I saw OUT OF THIS WORLD was one of her books I read the blurb and signed up for a review copy. The blurb does a really good job of summing-up the book, but I was hoping it would be more sci-fi and less odd.

Corri, Princess Corripraxis that is, needs to escape the little snot her Dad arranged for her to marry for business reasons. Okay, he isn't a snot so much as the fact that he's always covered in snot due to his species. Yeah, I can already see numerous reasons to make a hasty retreat from that future. As she tries to talk her twin, Perripraxis, aka Perri, into leaving with her and going to earth, 1865 earth to be exact, the jig is up and Corri reluctantly leaves her sister behind as she distract ...more

This is awesome!
Who doesn't like a good story about a runaway alien? What about a Marine? Yeah, this has both, obviously. I saw the cover before reading the description; I thought the alien was the guy. And I thought, "Hmm, kind of typical." But then I read the description and was like, "Oh! Okay, this sounds awesome!" Had to read it and once I started, I could not put it down. I read it fairly quic

This is a fun, light, sci-fi story. Capridocian Princess Corripraxis is trying to escape an arranged marriage. She does this by running to Earth. However, she does not land in the time that she aimed for. Some interesting ideas on the war of the sexes lead to enjoyable misunderstandings, especially with a hot marine named Mattias Cadiz. They embark on a road trip to Roswell, New Mexico where the princess believes she will be able to meet up with a martian colony.

The princess is hiding her true a

This is an interesting read. The story is about an alien and her humans. Corri escapes from her home planet to find sanctuary at Earth. But Earth is not what she had imagined. Something is very wrong here. Nothing she had been told about this planet turned out to be true. Now she is like a fish out of water.

Thankfully, the human who found her is pretty nice. He is willing to help her. Not that he knows the truth about her. And she will make sure he never does. For now, she is safe and settling i

I was given a free copy of this story in exchange for an honest review. 5 Stars is not enough for this book. When I realized that the probable main character had tentacles rather than arms and fingers, I thought “Huh?” The Crown Princess is running away from a marriage being forced on her. Not only is the husband-to-be a really bad person, he is covered with snot. Yes, you read right. Corri is stealing one of her father's fastest warships. She is going to Earth during the Glorious Earth Renaissa ...more

Crown Princess Corripraxis Malatesta is running away from home to avoid a political marriage. She will travel to Earth in the time zone when women are in charge. Little does she know the history books she has been reading are pure fiction. She is in for some surprises.
Mattias Cadiz has gone to retrieve a broken down car when he comes across a crazy woman. He knows what it's like to be scared and confused. The woman is obviously running from something, so he will do all he can to help.

Any time an author can make me laugh out loud I know I am going to enjoy the book! Whether the humor is due to the situation, the character’s words or a combination of the two, it makes any book better when it makes me laugh. This book had some great one-liners as well as some comedic storylines that ran the whole book. For instance, whoever the Princesses tutor is, he was making up everything he “knew” about Earth that’s for sure! But her misguided assumptions as well as the outright lies she w ...more

Marie's Tempting Reads Netgalley ARC Review:

What a sexy, unique, delicious twist to a sci-fi romance! Normally in these types of books, I find the male to be from another planet and its a human woman that fall in love. To find a vulnerable alien woman that needs help from a human male and they fall for each other, it definitely sparked an interest that I could not...would not deny myself. I loved the sparks and the twists and the sexilicious romance that I found in Out Of This World.

"Out of this World" is a cute, funny story about a spoiled alien princess, Corri, who flees an arranged marriage to Earth. She crash lands into the car of a human, Daria, who is also fleeting from a bad relationship. Corri is rescued from the crash sure by a "hot cowboy" (veteran tow truck driver) named Mattias. Corri, although green and scaly, has technology to disguise herself to look like Daria. Things are going well until aliens come searching for her and the life she left catches up.

This was fun.

There was a little bit of everything in here: romance, action, a bit of suspense, funny moments, and more.

We have Corri arriving to Earth, trying to escape her home and her arranged marriage. Here, she had to learn not only the way people live, but also unlearn what she was told about Earth on her planet. It was fun to see the world through Corri’s eyes, she was so innocent in some things, but that didn’t mean she was stupid or anything. She could kick ass when she needed to.

Looking for something kind of quirky, goofy, over-the-top and hot as hell? I highly suggest picking up this book, then. It was just what I needed -- a fab summer read. Princess Corripraxis runs away from home (so she doesn't have to marry a slime-covered warlord) and crash-lands in a pasture on Earth only to run into (literally) a woman, steal her identity (literally), and get picked up by a hot ex-Marine. Corri then attempts to fit into Earth life while figuring out what to do with her real lif ...more

I liked Out of This World, the premise, the setting, the characters and the banter. But I had a lot of questions while reading. Thoughts kept popping up like why is Corrie so clueless about Earth, yet she watched a lot of Earth movies before crash landing. Wouldn't she then know a car is a car and not a cruiser? How did she digest Earth food? I even wondered about sex. LOL. And when the book ended I was a bit unsure if our heroine would be with our hero in her green scaly form or assume an image ...more

Capridocian Princess Corripraxis "Corri" is in for a big surprise. She definitely not prepared for Earth. Read this awesome story to find out how she fares with her first encounter with Earth beings.

Human male, Mattias Cadiz’s life changes drastically from his encounter with Corri. How will he react when he finds out her secrets? Will the truth be too hard to bare?
Danger has come from across the stars. Will Earth be prepared?

Received through NetGalley for an honest review.

This might be an alien romance, but it is definitely different from other ones. Corri is an alien running away from hom and an arranged marriage to a vile and disgusting warlord. But when she crashes into Earth, nothing is like what she thought it would be. But meeting Mattias, a tow truck driver, he becomes her hero. But she must keep herself disguised as a human. Maybe she can fool everyone and hope that the warlord doesn't find her.
