Realy cool because she was yelling at her sister and didn't like her. But then she realized she loved her sister and wanted her back. I like that because its like me and my sister Chloe.
I read an amazing book called A Dandelion Wish by: Kiki Thorpe. I suggest that this book is for 3rd to 5th. But it might be easy for a 5th but it is still fun to read. This book is about Mia who is 1o and her sister Gabby who is 5 having a fight over a fairy and Gabby disappears. You have to read the book to find out what happens. But I suggest that you read 1 and 2 first. I love the book!!!
My 5yo loved A Dandelion Wish and kept asking for one more chapter until we finished it. I really liked this one and enjoyed the journey Mia and Gabby go on. The narrator does an excellent job on the audiobook (I lost my voice so I can't read bedtime stories atm). I love seeing the illustrations as we read along, I only wish they were in color.
Another cute, quick story with the Never Girls. This one about the two sisters in the group - Mia and Gabby who get separated when the pass through to Neverland moves. Looking forward to the next one.
Not what I was expecting but a sweet story yet the same. A good lesson about love and sisterhood. A little long and drawn out but lesson all people need in this nasty world!
Mia, her two friends Kate and Lainey, and her little sister Gabby have just discovered a secret passage through a hold in her backyard's fence to a magical land called Pixie Hollow where real fairies live! Mia is so excited to go back to Pixie Hollow the next day but to her disappointment she is left babysitting her little sister while her mom runs errands and her dad does yard work. Mia doesn't take the responsibilty seriously and sneaks off on her own making a couple of bad decisions. When she realizes that her dad is fixing the hole in the fence that leads to Pixie Hollow Mia's world has the chance of being ruined. What will happen to the hole in the fence and what consequences will come from her not watching Gabby well enough?
The reading level would be 4.0 and the interest level would be k-4th grade
If I was using this book for my class some Blooms Taxonomy Questions I would use are like these. 1.)What is the relationship between Mia and her little sister Gabby? 2.) How are the dandelions that Gabby blew related to Gabby and Iridessa finding their way home when they get lost? 3.) Do you agree that Mia should have left her little sister Gabby alone while she snuck away to Pixie Hollow? Why or why not? 4.) What choice would you have made if you were in Mia's situation with her little sister Gabby missing? 5.) What do you predict will happen the next time Mia's mom leaves her alone with Gabby?
Thorpe, K., & Christy, J. (2013). The Never Girls, A Dandelion Wish. New York, NY: Disney Enterprises Random House.
Summery-One day Mia went into Never land and brought Rosetta home to try on dresses when Gabby saw Rosetta she went into Never land and gets stuck because her dad fixed the gate. Now it's up to Mia and her friends to find a new gateway to Never land and find Gabby.
Setting-Mia and Rosetta are in town and Gabby and iridessa are in Never land.
Character trait-Mia loves dresses roses and anything beautiful and Gabby believes in fairys more than anyone.
Most Important Event-I think the most important event is when the dad closes the gateway to Never land.
Recommendation-People who beleves in magic will like this book. Natasha
When Mia, Gabby's big sister gets angy at her for not letting her play with her and Rosetta Gabby goes to pixie hollow all by herself. But when Mia's dad starts working on the fence so that there isn't a loose board any more.
The friends have to work together, like a team find the right board and loosen it to get to pixie hollow and get Gabby and Rosetta back to their own worlds.
Will they succeed? Read the book to find out. I love these books, do you know why? Well, because there is FAIRIES IN IT!
The magical fence that leads to Neverland is closed, but the problem is not so simple. All siblings fight sometimes, but when a fight strands one of the sisters in Pixie Hollow, just on the other side of the now-closed fence. It will take the magic of forgiveness and a whole lot of wishes to get her back home.
I really liked this book because it showed how even when someone gets on your nerves still love them because anything can happen to those people that get on your nerves
120 pages. This is a fun book in a magical series of Neverland. This time Mia decides to head back to Neverland on her own, leaving her little sister Gabby behind. She was supposed to babysit her sister while mom was away and dad was mowing the yard. However, when she returns, later on, she realizes her sister is gone and her dad has repaired the wooden fence spot that was the way to the enchanted land. This is a well-written, engaging book series and girls will love it. Highly recommended for Grades 2-4. I can't wait to read the rest of this series.
after i read this that time, i wish Neverland come to me ASAP‼️🧚♀️🧚♀️
This definitely followed a stereotypical kid’s media track where two siblings are mad at each other, but they end up separated by other forces, which makes them appreciate their sibling again.
I’m not mad at that storyline as this is just an observation. I liked this one more than the previous one but less than the first one. I think it could’ve been stronger but overall I enjoyed it. In my heart, I am a true pixie hollow enjoyer lmao
This was my favorite one so far, these are cute and fun and my 7 y-o daughter loves them! She is not always actively listening when I read aloud but these when I ask them questions about comprehension from one night to the next, she knows it all, she is so engaged with these books.
So highly recommend for the girls age 6-8 ish.
My son is listening too and has stayed interested the whole time even though he occasionally pretends he is not.
I am really enjoying reading these books with my 5 year old. I appreciated the way this installment of the Never Girls emphasized the relationship between sisters and the importance of them. I also appreciate that they're always working to solve the problem without breaking rules or getting into trouble. We will definitely continue to read this series.
Lumayan seru..
We found this in a little free library and my four year old loved it. I was shocked at the main character keeping secrets from/ lying to her parents, breaking family rules, yelling at her sister, literally neglecting her, and causing actual property damage. We had to take SEVERAL time outs to discuss the unacceptable actions and these characters are not good role models for growing minds.
This is a sweet series, especially good for very advanced young readers. The writing is great and features a varied vocabulary, but the content is light and appropriate for little ones.
