Walter Elias “Walt” Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer, international icon, and philanthropist. Disney is famous for his influence in the field of entertainment during the 20th century. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney) of Walt Disney Productions, Disney became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded, now known as The Walt Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately U.S. $35 billion.
Disney is particularly noted for being a film producer and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created some of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, a character for which Disney himself was the original voice. He has been awarded four honorary Academy Awards and has won twenty-two competitive Academy Awards out of fifty-nine nominations, including a record four in one year, giving him more awards and nominations than any other individual. He also won seven Emmy Awards. He is the namesake for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the United States, as well as the international resorts Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland Hong Kong.
Disney died of lung cancer in Burbank, California, on December 15, 1966. The following year, construction began on Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. His brother Roy Disney inaugurated the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971.
The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) (commonly referred to as Disney) is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue. Founded on October 16, 1923, by brothers Walt Disney and Roy Disney as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, the company was reincorporated as Walt Disney Productions in 1929. Walt Disney Productions established itself as a leader in the American animation industry before diversifying into live-action film production, television, and travel. Taking on its current name in 1986, The Walt Disney Company expanded its existing operations and also started divisions focused upon theatre, radio, publishing, and online media. In addition, it has created new divisions of the company in order to market more mature content than it typically associates with its flagship family-oriented brands.
The company is best known for the products of its film studio, the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group, today one of the largest and best-known studios in Hollywood. Disney also owns and operates the ABC broadcast television network; cable television networks such as Disney Channel, ESPN, and ABC Family; publishing, merchandising, and theatre divisions; and owns and licenses 11 theme parks around the world. On January 23, 2006, it was announced that Disney would purchase Pixar in an all-stock transaction worth $7.4 billion. The deal was finalized on May 5. On December 31, 2009, Disney Company acquired the Marvel Entertainment, Inc. for $4.24 billion. The company has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since May 6, 1991. An early and well-known cartoon creation of the company, Mickey Mouse, is the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company.
Though I'm a longtime Disney Channel fan, the main attraction for a telefilm like Camp Rock is the music. We don't get even the lyrics here; all we get is a shortened adaptation of the story. For diehard fans of old-school Mouse Network productions, this may be worth reading; however, even though I'm a avid reader, I'd suggest watching the movie instead.
First read this when I was nine years old and the film first came out. I was a huge Camp Rock girl. I reread to leave a review AND because I’ve been going through very difficult reads recently and needed something perfectly simple and easy. It basically goes without saying that this is a better piece of cinema because that’s what it was first made to be. However, the story stays entertaining, it drips with 2000s nostalgia, and the Jonas Brothers stay adorable. (G rating)
I never watched the movie only got the book cause we didn’t have Disney channel but I wanted to know the tea. I lost this book I think T***** stole it from me I remember going back in the winter to school to look for it 😭
this book is a good life lesson for everyone, this book is about a girl mitchie she wanted to go to this camp and when she has the opertundie to do that, she makes new friends and she wanted to be popular but when she lies to make new friends that lie will come back to hunt her.
i learned from this book you should never lie to someone to make friends make friends by telling the truth
can’t lie this book was my literal fave thing ever when i was young - i wish i still had it but i re read it so many times and it was a crucial part of my development as a human
Mitchie is a 14 year old girl who wants to go to Camp Rock but her parents can't afford it but she ends up going but she has to help out int he kitchen and met Shane Gray. She wants to be a hit singer. It is a music camp whereyou go and they help you with your voice and help you sing better/achieve a music career.I feel happy when she goes to camp.I feel sorta mad when Mitchie lies to her friend Caitlyn and a popualar group of girls about her mom being a radio station host in China.

Mitchie, a shy girl arrives at Camp Rock for her Summer Recreation. There, she met her friends and discovered the love of music. When Mitchie told to her campmates that pretends her mother is a music producer who is actually a cook, everything has been changed. Shane looks out for the melodic voice who belongs to a girl. The book, which is based from Disney Channel's Original Movie, is pretty cool and fun, and it has a valuable lesson on saving friendships.
if you read this book at the age of 23, you gonna find this book is a lil bit cringy. I love camp rock back then when I was in my primary. I guess this genre only suitable for early teenager kinda things. so yea
Never a ton to say about a novelization of a movie you grew up with, but this was cute. Unlike High School Musical, though, I think this was definitely lacking in not being able to hear the songs.
Great of anyone wanting to relive the nostalgia! A slightly condensed version of the film but still has the full plot . Includes some great one liners!
I thought this book was very descriptive and it was very easy to visualize inside my head.A shy 14 year old named mitchie was very eager to go to camp rock the summer camp of her dreams. To her disappointment she found out that her parents finances were unstable and they did not have the money. After school when she came home her parents had great news her mom got a job as the camp cook at camp rock so mitchie got to go after all. When mitchie arrived the queen bee tess soon attacked because she had heard mitchies beautiful voice. Mitchie lied about her mom's job saying that her mom worked at hot tunes china.Shane grey the international superstar came to visit to correct his attitude and mitchie fell for him Shane feeling the same way.the whole camp soon finds out about mitchies lie because tess saw mitchie talking to her mom. Tess gets revenge by pretending that mitchie stole her charm bracelet. Mitchie got kicked out of final jam as a punishment but she finally gets her chance to shine with Shane grey

I enjoyed the film more, probably because of nostalgia, but this was nice, fun. It’s obviously for kiddos, but I wanted to check it out anyway. It is simple, well-written, a summarization of the aforementioned film; perfect for a junior novel. Would I read it again? Not for myself. Maybe if I have kids, I’ll read it to them, so they know what I grew up with.
I read this with my 7 year old on the way to SLC. If you have a pretween it may be worth it just so you can see them smile.. or at least know what the "new" thing is. We had a lot of fun with it though.
THIS BOOK IS MY FAVORITE BOOK IF YOU HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE CAMP ROCK YOU WILL KNOW WHAT HAPPENS I READ THE BOOK BEFORE I SAW THE MOVIE AND I AM GLAD I DID SO IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOIE CAMP ROCK AND WANT TO READ THE BOOK READ THE BOOK BEFORE YOU SEE THE MOVIE!
i like this book but i like the movie better.the movie shows when and how i think that you get a pic in your head when your reading after you whatch the movie you can name the parts it is really cool.
I think this book is a good book. its interesting and a funny book. if you like rock music you will like it.but is a long book. the book is about a girl that want to go to camp rock. but she dont want her friends to know cause they will make fun of her.
I read this when I was 14 and now I am 19 so I don't remember the details really well. But I know that this book use really simple words and make it understandable for teenagers. It good as the author adds some of stories that wasn't displayed in the movie.
