About the Rhea Jensen series. I like to tongue-in-cheek tell people, WARNING: This Series Contains Mormons. This series is more mystery/adventure with a dab of romance. HOWEVER, the last book in the series, Walk of Infamy, will be a stand-alone novel and end to the Rhea Jensen series that Pimpernel fans will likely enjoy.

Wild death-match thriller! The author kindly sent this to me (unasked for) when I asked her for a different book, Royal Ball). Even though I haven't read any other books in this Rhea Jensen series, this worked pretty well as a stand-alone and as a prequel to the interconnected Pimpernel series.

Rhea Jensen, a PI, has found out that her employer is FAR more sinister than she realized, and also deeply in the pocket of "The Four," a criminal conspiracy comprised of many of the wealthiest and most unscrupulous people in the world. A couple of decisions Rhea (pronounced "Ray") made in prior books have The Four unhappy ... and unhappy for them means, off with her head. But Rhea's being given a sporting chance, maybe? She and another guy who's been a traitor to The Four have been set up in a death match. Whoever kills the other might get the chance to walk away. That is, if they can escape the killer bounty hunters who will also be set loose after a certain period of time.

And there's no chance of hiding and escaping: they've put a couple of high tech tracers in Rhea and the other guy, and she knows they'll kill her friends and family without compunction if she did manage to disappear. But ... maybe there actually IS a chance to escape. The other guy says he has a plan - Rhea just doesn't know if she can trust him.

Non-stop action here! If you haven't read the prior books, you'll be able to see where you're missing a fair amount of prior character-building, but it didn't slow me down too much. And I wept some tears as well as having my heart in my throat any number of times.

Thanks to the author for the free ebook for review! Now I just need to get my hands on the rest of the series (it turns out my local library has most of them, so I'm in luck here, if I have time to fit them into my reading schedule).

Content note: discussion of a gang rape of Rhea's friend that took place some years earlier, and its aftermath.

Rhea Jensen is my all time favorite character!! I read a lot so few stories and even fewer characters stick with me long term. Too often as time passes characters seem to get jumbled together and I struggle to separate one story from another. Rhea is a definite exception to that rule. She is unforgettable.

I have been waiting for the final book in this series for 3 years! This was definitely worth waiting for!

What a ride this book was!! Lots of twists and turns I did not see coming. I'm usually really good when it comes to guessing where as story is going and am rarely surprised but I was blindsided by this one. Well done Sheralyn!! The way this ended had me squealing with excitement despite the fact that it didn't end tied up with a great big pretty bow like I usually prefer.

Without being too spoilerish I will just say that if you have read Pimpernel you should definitely read this.

Walk of Infamy is written to stand alone so you can start here without reading the other books in Rhea's series. However since this is one of my all time favorite series I highly recommend you go back and start from the beginning. Rhea Jensen is LDS fiction for those who can't stand LDS fiction. Even if you love LDS fiction I think you will be drawn to Rhea just as I was. She is not your typical Mormon and that makes her seem so real and relatable despite the fact that she's in a league of her own!

What a fabulous end to Rhea Jensen!

I was really excited to hear about this one. I enjoyed Ms. Pratt’s Rhea Jensen series and was looking forward to this conclusion (If you haven’t read that series, no worries this stands well on its own), I’m also a big fan of her new Pimpernel series and was a little giddy to see how these two tie into each other (this is a prequel to that series). Again, this stands well on its own if you haven’t read either series, but after reading this I’m sure you’ll want to check them out.

This is a great book if you’re looking for some excitement and adventure. This will definitely keep you on your toes and keep you on the edge of your seat. I love Rhea, she is a tough character, very smart and kind. She is loyal and really tries to do the right thing. This book really adds a lot to her character and background. Overall, just a fun read.

Content: Clean romance, mild innuendo. Mild violence - mention of rape, no language

First, I have to note that this book is the sixth and final book in the Rhea Jensen series. Then I need to tell you that I have not read any of the other books in this series. That really scared me going into this review because I wasn't sure if it would be able to stand on it's own. I was worried that because I hadn't read the previous books, I wouldn't be able to understand what was happening. Even though I haven't read this complete series, I have read other books by Sheralyn Pratt and I have LOVED them. I really, really wanted to love this book as well.

So, I'm happy to report that the author does a fantastic job of giving me plenty of essential backstory so I had a clear idea of what was happening. There were obvious moments where I knew so much more had happened before and I was only getting a small bite of previous events but I had enough to feel like I still knew what was going on.

This book is full on from beginning to end. I was wound up tight and had to consciously make myself relax. Sometimes I had to set the book down and do something else before coming back to the story. It was nuts. My heart was pumping, my eyes were leaking. I was all over the spectrum of emotions with this one. What a crazy ride!

I have read Pimpernel by Sheralyn and this book had a carry over to that book. The ending left me floundering a bit and now I'm all sorts of wishing I had a next book after Pimpernel. Is there going to be a next book? There must be. There has to be. No pretty little boxes tied up with bows for this book ending. I'm so glad I read it though!

Content: violence, a few instances of swearing, flashback to a rape scene with no intimate details

-I received a copy of this book for free. A positive review was not required and all opinions expressed are my own.

As with every Sheralyn Pratt novel, my first thought upon finishing was "wow." Walk of Infamy is a non-stop intense roller coaster ride of suspense, action, and emotion. This would make a brilliant movie giving Jason Bourne a run for his money, but how could a script even hope to include the thoughts and feelings of Rhea as she's pursued in a high stakes cat and mouse game with thousands of lives at stake, not just her own. I haven't read the previous books in the Rhea Jensen series, but was told that this final book could stand alone, and boy did it deliver! It definitely made me want to go find the book where she falls in love with her husband, who is a definite motivating factor for Rhea as she is forced to make difficult, impossible decisions. From what I understand, this book turned her story on its head and threw everything up in the air. I know that sounds chaotic, but the plot is seamlessly executed with a quick pace and like all books by Sheralyn Pratt I've read... I simply could not put it down. Rhea is pushed to her limits and beyond in the twists and turns as she fights tooth and nail to stay alive and pray that she has placed her trust and loyalties in the right hands. I admired that she allowed herself to follow her instincts and guidance from the Spirit when her choices seemed too crazy to handle. I especially loved the subtle tie-in to another book by the author, Pimpernel, and as soon as I finished Walk of Infamy (at 12:30 am) I re-read Pimpernel until 4 in the morning. Even though I was exhausted the next day, I was filled with the satisfaction of having read two supremely excellent books back-to-back ;) HIGHLY recommend, especially to suspense fans!

(Thank you to the publisher for a copy of the book; this is my honest review)

What. The. Heck?!?! Seriously...what just happened?! Okay...let me back up. I've read all but one book of this series (how did I miss that one?) and I've really enjoy each book, but this one is so full of non-stop action that I was pretty stressed out. Rhea is a pretty normal, very small, intelligent young woman and she's been targeted by The Fours, since they think she's a threat to them. How could this innocent, tiny package be a threat? This elusive group is bent on destroying her and it seems like there's no escape, no way to avoid a certain death. With lightning quick reflexes and instant judgment calls, Rhea tries to control what little she can, but there's not much wiggle room for control...or for beating this group.

Rhea is a brilliant character and I came to admire and like her more and more as the story progressd. The twists and turns literally made me feel like I was on a Tilt-a-Whirl--jerking me from one place to another and spinning faster and faster, but I just couldn't get enough. When the ride came to a screeching halt, I was left stunned--what an amazingly perfect ending! I was blown away by this author's cleverness.

For anyone who loves action, adventure, thriller type stories, this book is for you!

Content: talk of rape; moderate action violence; mild language; some vague innuendo; very brief and mild religious elements.

Whoa! Whoa! Wow! Is what I kept thinking as I ended Walk of Infamy. I love the mind of the author Sheralyn Pratt!!! Walk of Infamy is the sixth and final novel in Sheralyn Pratt’s Rhea Jensen Series. This novel was made to be stand-alone though, and I have to agree it indeed was as I have not read any of the other prior titles in the series or knew anything prior about the main character Rhea, yet didn’t feel lost at all. In both the prologue and also during the actual time frame of the novel there was very seamlessly enough character history and world building that I felt no hiccups in jumping right in.

I have to admit that action conspiracy suspense thrillers are usually not my genre of choice for reading. Too much explicit graphic gratuitous for shock value violence and misogynisticly built weak female characters in other books I have read. I loved this one though and was rapidly tapping to the next page on my digital copy on my Kindle and smart phone every moment of the day I could squeeze in where ever I went. The female heroine in this title was definitely not weak and though the events were thematically heavy, this was a fairly non explicit low to moderate violence action thriller that focused more on exercising your mind and taking one on a heart pounding emotional roller coaster ride for both Rhea and you the reader.

You are told Rhea found out her boss Elliot Church and his private investigation agency works for a clandestine secret society organization called The Fours. One of many international secret society organizations of powerful billionaires that think the world is theirs to control with money, terror, murder, technology, and private armies of operatives recruited as early as preschool based on aptitude tests. Rhea quits once she finds this out. Rhea has been a private investigator for 7 years and never was entered into this world as an operative, but The Fours consider her a danger to them if she isn’t under their control, because of the results of her aptitude test. Results and attributes that showed her to have special natural gifts and talents that make her capable to be the perfect predator and thus an ultimate assassin weapon. Results to Rhea’s great complaint that everybody knows about, but her, and no one will allow her to know.

Her resignation is not accepted and she is told she must do must do one more thing before she can be free of The Fours. Small tiny build Rhea and an operative trained from 5 years old named Anton with the build of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Terminator are to both have a gladiator match together to the death for the entertainment of The Fours, with a betting pot as to whom will be the winner of $12.3 billion and other ongoing side bets going on. The loser not only is killed by his opponent, but will die in ignominy as they will be made to look like they plotted and executed the one of the most heartless domestic terrorist bombing attacks of the century that will occur at midnight. If both of them are still alive at midnight, they will jointly be blamed for the terrorist attack and hunted down for assassination. In the style of the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins audio and video feed picture of everything they do will be shown to The Fours viewers worldwide no matter where they are. They are dropped on opposite ends of Los Angeles as their battle arena and the danger is full on and non-stop after that.

Besides the constant threat of physical danger, there is also the internal battle as Rhea is psychologically pushed in this environment to her limits on whether she will lose her soul and weaken her principles. There was a scene when the death of the one in defense would save the lives of the many including loved ones and she didn’t go for it! Gah! I was like Rhea why didn’t you? Yet, then there was the jaw dropping plot twist that turned everything on its head that Rhea thought she knew. The trauma made her temporarily lose her humanity and she almost became the heartless cold predator that was willing to do the unthinkable The Fours thought she was capable of becoming. Lucky enough she doesn't.

Walk of Infamy also occurs a little over a year before the first title Pimpernel in Sheralyn Pratt’s next action conspiracy suspense thriller series of the same name. This last book Walk of Infamy is a bridge book between her two series and a prequel to Pimpernel . I loved Pimpernel which came out first January 2016! Reading Pimpernel first before the prequel of Walk of Infamy was not spoilerish at all, but actually allowed MY MIND TO BE BLOWN about Pimpernel in a way that it wouldn’t have if I had read Walk of Infamy first. I seriously had one of those after watching M. Night Shyamalan’s movie Sixth Sense like moment, where I had to skim read Pimpernel after finishing this one and look at some of the Pimpernel scenes with a different paradigm and be like oh! So Pimpernel fans you definitely want to pick this one up before continuing with the rest of the Pimpernel series when (yay!!!) they come out.

Violence: PG 13. Majority of action is hand to hand combat. One gun violence scene. Bomb goes off causing fire and destruction of property with no lives taken.

Sensuality content: There is mentioned with no sexual details that Rhea’s best friend was drugged unconscious with ketamine and gang raped 7 years ago and that this was important to Rhea’s origin story as a private investigator. After the fact it is not shown or told (AKA behind closed doors), but it is implied that Rhea and her husband had martial relations.

Source: Was given an ARC copy from a third party to give back my honest opinion to the author. No public review also to readers was required, but of course would be much appreciated.

Wow, just wow. Rhea Jensen is one of my all-time favorite characters. She is amazing, and so is the lady that writes her. I mean, WOW! I have been texting Sheralyn over the years, sometimes with just one word, "Rhea". In hopes of reading more of her adventures. This book does not disappoint. It a non-stop action ride. So much so, when I was done, aside from tears, I had a headache, but I will take a Rhea Jensen headache any day. There is also heart, and painful scenes of love and goodbye, and some shocking revelations. I have loved this series from the beginning and it was hesitant to even start reading knowing it is the last book. There is an amazing twist that I did not see coming, and I enjoyed seeing another favorite character of mine make a cameo. Honestly, this book is very close to perfect and the ending, is just, WOW!

5 out of 5 stars.

Sheralyn Pratt is an excellent storyteller, and this book does not disappoint. Except for the prologue and a few flashbacks, the entire story takes place in one very action-packed, intense day! I loved that even though her life was turned upside down (and sideways and every other way, too), Rhea stayed true to who she was at the core! She refused to be motivated by fear and I honestly wish I were a little more like her!

I have not read the Rhea Jensen series, but I have read Pimpernel. There were a few gaps in this story if you had not read the series, but you could fill in the gaps pretty easily (or they weren't significant) - so I would definitely say this is a standalone. It's a prequel to Pimpernel. There were a few characters I didn't really feel like I knew well in Pimpernel, but now that I have their back story I want to go back and re-read Pimpernel!

I'm assuming (and hoping) that this means the author is planning to continue the Pimpernel series because I would love to see what comes next for all these characters!

Content: Few swear words, lots of violence (it's action-packed!)

Oh my! This was fantastic! I was told that if I’d read the Pimpernel by this same author, that I would like this one too. But I didn’t realize there were character connections until midway through, and then I was spellbound. The heroine in this book is Rhea Jensen. This is book 6 of a series with her in it, yet it can be read alone. I haven’t read any of the previous books, but I’m going to correct that mistake and read them now. This book sucked me in from page one and it was a roller coaster ride the whole way through—turbo speed. This heroine is smart, strong, sassy and incredibly awesome! I loved her! This wasn’t a sappy romance (which I absolutely adore), yet it had some heart-tugging scenes in it, as well as explosions, edge of death moments (constantly) and on-the-run from the bad guys action the whole way through. Whew! Poor Rhea. That girl went through a lot in a day, and everything she holds dear is stripped away from her. Yet it wrapped the plot up cleanly…but still left me yearning for more. I now must go spend my hard-earned money to buy the previous Rhea books and then pray that Sheralyn Pratt hurries up and writes more Pimpernel books…because those are going to become my new favorites, I’m thinking. ***I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for my fair and honest review.

This is the sixth book in this series and the first one I have read. I would say it definitely works well as a standalone. The author gives enough background that I felt like I knew what was happening, but also want to read all the other books in the series to get a more complete picture of what happened. Because, WOW!!

It starts out intense and doesn't let up the entire time! Rhea starts out in an impossible situation and I couldn't wait to see how this story would unfold. She had to figure things out quickly and make tough choices because she was up against tight deadlines. The book basically takes place in one day and there is a lot that happens.

I love how it ties in to Pimpernel and answered some questions I had about that book when I finished it, and now I want to read it again. I'm looking forward to reading what Ms. Pratt comes up with next and hope there will be more Pimpernel soon!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book, which did not affect my review in any way.

This is the last book in a series, but I hadn’t read the other books, and this one stood just fine on its own. (I had read a spin-off novel, Pimpernel, which comes chronologically after this book.) It starts tense and stays that way until the end, with some interesting turns along the way. Rhea was a sympathetic protagonist, easy to cheer for and mourn with. It’s a short novel, but the story felt complete. 4.5 stars.

WARNING! You may want to make sure your schedule is clear before picking up this book, because you won't want to put it down!

I have been dying to read the end of this series for more than 10-ish years. I read the original books, before they were changed a bit and re-titled, and I was immediately sucked into this world where Rhea ninjas her way through life in as much secrecy as possible. I've loved every moment, every iteration, and cannot say enough about how much I have wanted this day to come. That's part of why I dropped my entire life today to read a book, when I could have been doing a thousand other things. And with all of that build up, I can boldly declare that this book did not disappoint!

Can it hold up under a stand-alone reading without reading the other parts of the series? Definitely. But, It's almost like comparing watching the Harry Potter movies to reading the books. The movies are great! But, there is so much more depth, and emotion, and understanding that comes at having read the books before you see the movies that I don't know why anyone would want to. Unless someone is hesitant to pick up LDS fiction, then I still think they would love this story (and Pimpernel) even if they don't like the religious references of the other books. I'm a little bit of a purist when it comes to not wanting spoilers, and wanting to read the stories in order, and wanting the fullest possible understanding of the characters, so I would totally recommend going back to read the other books before this one, however, this book definitely has it's own two legs to stand on. If you love adventure/spy/conspiracy/good vs. evil/romance, I think you will be sucked in, in no time. And Pimpernel fantastically ties in. I can't say enough about how happy I am that the two stories have now connected, and I anxiously await more great stories from the Pimpernel perspective.

Will general audiences like this, even if they're not LDS? I cannot imagine why not. This is on par with some of the most gripping action stories I've ever loved, within Christian fiction or not. Ms. Pratt is a master at suspense, while still giving you room to feel successful at guessing small parts of the story. She is a wizard at taking you on a breathless roller-coaster ride where you don't question anything about the authenticity of the story because it's completely a world of her making, and she rules there. She touches on religious content super briefly, but it's not preachy at all, and feels very sincere, not fake or awkward or forced.

I have given a 5 star rating to less than a handful of the books I have reviewed over the years because I have such rigorous expectations of what a 5 star rating means to me. Normally, I would require a book to be one I could recommend to my teens for it to reach that rating. There is some language and violence, but more for the more real-life anxiety inducing themes (terrorist and rape culture related), I cannot give it that endorsement. But, I am normally much more conservative than most when it comes to content. If you go see PG-13 movies in theaters, you probably wouldn't bat an eye over this content. I also normally don't love stories that don't have a classically happy ending. Does this one? Not in my normal set of expectations, but paradoxically it still left me feeling fulfilled at the end. So despite what rules it breaks, I know this book just took it's place among my top favorites of all time, and I can only give it my top recommendation!

I was given a review copy of this by Ebooks for Review, and this is my honest opinion.

Previously I have read three other books by Sheralyn Pratt, really enjoyed them, and knew I would read more in the future but even having expected to enjoy this didn’t begin to prepare me for how much I’d love this book! I was given this ebook in exchange for an honest review and here it is:

 4.5 hearts rating

First of all, although this is book 6 of the Rhea Jensen series, I hadn’t read any of the other books in this series, so I can say with certainty that it is a great stand-alone book. And anyone who might be familiar with any of my other reviews (from any book) knows that I don’t usually fan-girl all over the place, ooooh-ing and awwww-ing, just gushing how fabulous it was.... But this book really was!

Well, okay, let me tone it down just a notch. I did, truly, completely enjoy this story... but I’ve got to confess that (nearly an hour later and still trying to pick my jaw up off of the floor) my gushing is obviously heightened by the conclusion of the book and how that insight just absolutely floored me. So now, knowing that having previously read Pimpernel certainly had to have coloured my opinion on this book - and since I had previously loved Pimpernel - it’s no wonder that I felt this way.

This book is pretty much non-stop action and is very difficult to put aside. The characters are incredible, ridiculously individual, and function under extremes a regular person like me couldn’t ever imagine facing and yet, despite the rather bizarre, urgent and life-threatening (page-turning) circumstances, Rhea is totally believable and certainly unforgettable.

Even though Walk of Infamy stands on it’s own, I know that the more books I read by Sheralyn Pratt, the more I love her writing, and so I look forward to reading the previous books in this series too.

Gripping, Non-Stop Action and Suspense

This book, closely related to "Pimpernel", is like a culmination of "Mission Impossible", "the A-Team", "Die Hard", James Bond, and any other combination of spy films and intrigue thrown together. Nonstop, heart-pounding action, where good versus evil and Rhea must do anything and everything to survive - and try to save her loved ones along with as many innocent civilians as possible. Will she succeed? A mysterious group of Four powerful men who rule the world by power and money in a secretive organization that has the power to make people disappear without a trace, or to set off a massive bomb and blame an innocent person in the process. How can Rhea possibly fight them?
-"I was a chick who didn’t want to kill anyone living in a world run by men who wanted me dead."-
IF she manages to survive, she will never see her family or friends again, taking on a new identity to keep them safe - and herself out of the hands of "the Fours". The long-awaited companion story to "Pimpernel", this story is as good as the first. (No spoilers but there is a definite connection/side-story between this story and Pimpernel - which becomes an "ah-ha" moment for the reader towards the end of the story. It is best to read this story before Pimpernel for chronological reasons, although this book was written afterwards.) Once I started reading, it was incredibly hard to resist. This author is amazingly talented and I get so excited whenever she publishes something new. There is quite a bit of religion throughout the series (Mormon) but I didn't find it off-putting.
I hope the Pimpernel series continues as I'd love to read more! In true Sheralyn Pratt style, she leaves us hungering, always a possibility of more, but never quite satisfied...This book concludes the Rhea Jensen series but perhaps her character will live on to fight another day? ... ;)
This is the type of story that stays with you, long after you've read it. It makes you question. It makes you wonder... I would rate this book ten stars if I could! It's simply amazing!

Unhappily ever after.

If you like happy endings, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK, Walk of Infamy! Just stop at the previous book, Unpleasant Grove, and be content with that being the end of Rhea's story. I wish I had.
This was actually a really great book and had me turning pages like there was so tomorrow. But I kept waiting for my happily ever after and it never came. I cannot even begin to tell you how supremely and completely disappointed I was after reading the epilogue. I'd honesty give the whole book one star based just on that, but that would be a tad bit unfair to the author. I've read some of her other contemporary romance books, and the Rhea Jensen series sounded intriguing because there was romance, so I was all for it. And I was! I literally read all 6 books in two days (and possibly way into the morning, but it's summer, so there it is), and loved every second of them. But don't tell me this is a romance book, or the end of a series that all featured romance, and then kill all my hopes and dreams at the end. Not cool, Sheralyn. Not cool. And then don't invite me to read another series, Pimpernel, to get more of Rhea's story, and when I go to read the blurb of each of the three Pimpernel books, have them be about some other star-crossed couple (yes, we know the MMC, Jack, but only from Walk of Imfamy, and he didn't scream leading man material to me) and then randomly throw her name in at the bottom of the very last book. I'm truly upset and feel ripped off that Rhea doesn't get her HEA.
Am I desperate enough to see if Rhea can get her HEA in the new series? Would it really be worth my time of reading three more books? Probably not. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Walk of Infamy

I seriously was not prepared for the adrenalin rush and heart stopping moments this book had in store for me! I have not read the previous books in the series but man if they are as jam packed full of suspenseful action then I cannot wait to read them! Rhea was such a strong character, full of intelligence and inner strength. Suddenly she is plunged into some sick and twisted version of a fight to the death with an unknown opponent who seems to know quite a bit about her! There are so many different connections in this book, you have to pay close attention! And the fight or flight scenarios continue throughout the book while Rhea is thrown into impossible after impossible scenario! How and can she actually survive? There were just a couple of parts where I felt the missing connection from not reading the previous books, but it was not enough to bother me or stop me from reading. This is a suspenseful, heart pounding book like no other I have read and it would make for a phenomenal movie if they could capture everything Pratt put into the novel. I could not seem to put it down! I am looking forward to going back and reading the previous books! I received a copy of this book for free and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Clean, intense action and some violence
This was a GREAT read! I had read "Pimpernel" by Sheralyn Pratt, but not this series. I think I will be reading the rest of these books, and re-reading Pimpernel to find out if I can see more of Rhea and Anton in this other book. I think they are only hinted at!
Great read and the action sequences were well-done. The complex betting, the race to try to find the bomb and dismantle it, trying to escape the 'Fours', Rhea's desire to not kill, while still outwitting her enemies, and her subtle grasp of details as she analyzes here situation to have the best outcome and outwith, outsmart, and survive the best she can was a GREAT face-paced read. The complexity of the tracking and use of technology was cleverly done, and very interesting. It really was a mile-a-minute ride (wait a read!) that was so fun! While not a HEA, it was a great ending to this series. I started backwards, so on to read the first books! Thanks for such a fun, exciting, face-paced read with so many intricate and complex details that made this hard to put down!
I received a copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Unfortunately, I reserve my one-star books for ones that have "issues" that I just don't care to be reading. However, this is one book that I really don't like, and if I didn't have my own personal rating system, this book would receive one star tops. It is a clean romance (hence the two-star rating) but it is one I'm reviewing without re-reading because I know I don't like it.

I'd love to give Walk of Infamy one star, or maybe 1.5 stars, based on the fact that Ms Pratt destroys everything the Rhea Jensen series was to me - a series filled with love, romance, fun and faith - faith in God, and faith in one's spouse. Rhea, probably more true to life than the fairy tale endings of happily ever after, "dies" to protect herself and her family. This is really a Pimpernel .5 or 1.5 or something and was written several years after Pratt finished Rhea Jensen's story.

I think that in future books, and since the last Pimpernel book was written in 2019 it probably won't happen, if Rhea/Kali was returned to her previous life I might, MIGHT, see where this book serves a purpose.

Explosions and high emotions!

I thought I had reviewed this book back when I first read it, but apparently I haven't, so here are my thoughts:

Rhea Jensen is a kick a** character who attacks each challenge she is faced with in her own way. She fully recognizes her weaknesses and magnifies her strengths to overcome challenges you don't think can be successfully beat.

This final installment of Rhea's story is filled with emotion and action. Rhea's core values are challenged during the fight of her life; and she learns that past events didn't play out quite like she had thought.

Once again Pratt has sucked me into the world of Rhea Jensen and I'm not quite ready to leave.

**Spoiler Alert** While this was filled with intense action and kept you guessing, I just couldn’t handle the ending. After this entire series about Ty and Rhea, they will never get to see each other again? Yes, I have read Pimpernel, but it wasn’t very clear about what had happened with Ty and Rhea. Just too heartbreaking for me.

I love this book SO much! I wish I could have read it all in one sitting as it deserved. It was so wonderfully fast-paced, surprising, and absolutely mind-bending at the end! Now I must do some re-reading of one of her other novels to fully understand what just happened! :) :) :)

I am conflicted as I write this. It was like the book went from murder mystery to action adventure over night. Pretty ingenious that an older series has been resurrected into a new series with Rhea who's not Rhea. And I loved Pimpernel, so I'll now be reading the new series for more than one reason.
There was an implied sex scene-very tastefully done(a huge concession for me because I don't do sex scenes)-between married people. Tons of violence. A few swear words thrown in. Talk of gang rape. Some parts (especially the scene in Elliot's office) are pretty dark.
The farewell with her family in the middle of the book made me cry. Poor family. Poor Rhea.
There was a questionnaire filled out before we read the book with a question about being the reader being LDS, so I'm going to respond to that aspect of the book now. There was one blurb about 'Mormons' in the book when Rhea was talking with Anton. It wasn't descriptive, just talked about feelings. I kept waiting for Rhea to pray for help, guidance, a miracle, anything so she didn't have to leave Ty, but...nothing. If I hadn't know, I would never have thought Rhea was LDS. It was definitely mainstream rather than religious or whatever. Rhea did have a philosophical monologue tug-of-war at the end, but it only talked about God in generalities, not any specific religion.
I'm not sure if I would recommend this to teens. They'd have to be older, older teens if anything. I'm not sure I'd read this one again. I didn't see any typos or issues with the structure of the story. I just don't know how the author kept everything moving without confusing herself in fight scenes and with all the characters and situations. It was really fast paced. I didn't like that Rhea had to change into a clone warrior, but what other choice did she have? She's not even herself anymore and if she ever met up with Ty in the future, they'd be so different from each other now that it would never work between them. That makes me really sad; especially for Ty. I hate that they have to move on with life. I love the fairy tale endings. I'd really like to know who the Eye in the Sky was and how their organization works. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

I could not put this book down. Every book in this six-book series has had a lot of suspense and action, but the others have nothing on this one. I was on the edge of my seat during the entire book, with no idea how it would work out. This book made me feel all kinds of things—I cried multiple times. I just love Rhea’s character, and it makes me sad that this is her last book. I actually read the Pimpernel series before reading the Rhea Jensen series (I didn’t know there was a prequel series to Pimpernel at the time) which added an element of extra fun to this book as the characters from the Pimpernel series started filtering in, but I really wish I had read them in the intended order, because I don’t have time to reread the Pimpernel series but I want to now that I have so much more information about Kali.

I have to give a tip of the hat to the author because I noticed that it is meant to be read as a stand alone novel—which can result in a lot of repeating information from the past five books to help the new readers come up to speed—but I didn’t notice that. She filled in the new readers well (or so I see in the reviews of those who did jump in the series at this point) but it didn’t feel like a lot of information was being tediously repeated for those of us who have read all the books one after another.

There was a lot of buildup to this book in not just one but several of the books preceding this one. I was very surprised that this one did not disappoint in the least.

Now that I have read a total of exactly 10 books by this author in the last two months, I have to say I am definitely a fan.

So, as a fan of the Pimpernel by Sherilyn Pratt, I was excited to read this book. I haven't read the Rhea Jensen series, but heard that this could be read as a stand alone. I felt like that was pretty accurate. It actually took me awhile into reading to realize that the team that shows up to help Rhea fight against the Fours is actually the team from Pimpernel. I felt like I had an aha moment when I figured that out. This was a hold on to your seat, stay up late into the night reading kind of book. It is full of action with a lot of twists and surprises. There were a few moments that I wished I had the background on Rhea's life and the people she left behind, but that just gives me a new book series to read.

It is so intense the whole time! I was literally on the edge of my seat, sweating, heart-pounding for most of it. Rhea is so strong and amazing, I love her!
This is a very good series. There are typos in a lot of the books, but nothing that can't be overlooked, and Sheralyn Pratt's writing definitely gets better as the books progress. Overall I really enjoyed the whole series and having that 1.5 book from Ty's perspective really helped with getting to know and fall in love with his character as well.

I have always loved the Rhea Jensen series, so I had to get my hands on this book as soon as I found out it existed. And then I ended up having mixed feelings about this book. The writing is excellent as usual, the story is gripping, and I couldn't put the book down. However, Rhea didn't get the happy ending I wanted for her, so that was a bit disappointing.
This book is definitely used to set up a new series, so I'm interested to get into those books and see if/how Rhea shows up.

What kind of ending was that?!? I’m seeing five-star reviews, but the ending sucked so bad. I read the next series but need to go reread so I can figure out more…though I don’t remember if that’s one had a happily ever after for Kali. Another reviewer said it best—IF YOU LIKE HAPPY ENDINGS, JUST SKIP THIS BOOK AND LEAVE OFF WITH THE LAST ONE.

That said, it was well written with lots of action, so I couldn’t it fewer than 3 stars. Just wish I had either 1) never read it, or 2) read it beforehand Pimpernel series.

I’m honestly not sure how I feel. I read Pimpernel first so I knew how it would turn out… but I can’t reconcile it. Why spend 6 books building up a relationship just to end it? The author has alluded to them being together throughout the books but then at one point said it was denial? I’m wishing that somehow Kali will get her happy ending but it’s been years since the last Pimpernel book came out so maybe she never will…?

I hadn't read any of the other Rhea Jensen novels, but I became interested in the story after reading Pimpernel. I may go back and read whichever books include Rhea's relationship with her husband Ty. It seems like they have a sweet relationship.
