I like to keep things light and fun, and believe that life is journey so if you're going to buy a book, your life should better for it. Whether a book I write is intended to help you escape for a few hours or designed to teach you a new skill, I hope you find it unforgettable...in a good way. ;)

Current/Upcoming Titles:
- Pimpernel
- Walk of Infamy
- King of the Friend Zone
- The Kiss that Launched 1,000 GIFs

About the Rhea Jensen series. I like to tongue-in-cheek tell people, WARNING: This Series Contains Mormons. This series is more mystery/adventure with a dab of romance. HOWEVER, the last book in the series, Walk of Infamy, will be a stand-alone novel and end to the Rhea Jensen series that Pimpernel fans will likely enjoy.

Are you ready for a new Pimpernel book this fall?
Because it's coming!

I've been a bit worn out on YA books for several years now. In many ways (imo), the genre has devolved into one-note plot lines dead set on selling you a trilogy--even if that means turning partial stories into books and pretending that making you wa ...more

So great. You know you have a solid series and character when book 3 trumps 1&2. I seriously have to put the brakes on to get other things done and not just read a book a day in this series. I have to be a big kid and not do that, but these books ...more

Way fun. Love Richelle Mead's writing style. It's been forever since I've read YA because I just got so burned out. But this is the type of voice and pacing I love in a book.

Wish this and the 3rd book would be combined into one movie. I know the firs

So I'm totally late to the party on these books, but at least I made it. I love this kind of writing. Accessible. Conversational. Snarky. Got the first 3 books in the series and read them all in 3 days. That's how good the flow is.

So why not 5 stars?

“When someone shows you who they are believe them; the first time.”
Maya Angelou

“It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool, than to talk and remove all doubt of it.”
Maurice Switzer

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles"

“Substitute 'damn' every time you're inclined to write 'very;' your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be.”
Mark Twain

“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.”
Oscar Wilde

Mission accomplished!

Woohoo!! It is always a good day when I help lead someone to the Buffster. Personally, I can never get enough of the musical episode "Once More, With Feeling." One of the best hours of television in history if you ask me. The pilot is okay as well though... I guess. :-)

Sheralyn It's okay. You don't have to worry about putting stuff out there to read. No one's read the chapter I posted. I think they largely go out into limbo unless you force people to read and comment, so we can post away ;)

message 1: by Becca

Becca But that means putting stuff out there for everyone to see! That's a little scary. But you're right. We should make it a requirement for our group to post. Maybe part of what we do when we're all together sharing our stuff is to encourage each other to post the things we liked best about their writing that month.
