Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review. My 13 year old loved this book and is such a fan of Lilo and Stitch (in particular). I highly recommend it based on great illustrations and an interesting plot. I rate it 5 stars. Thanks again!

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I just adore Stitch, he is such a delightful character. So any time I see anything with Stitch I just need to try it out.

This time no Lilo, but instead we have a girl named Yuna who lives in Izayoi. Stitch lands there and, for the first half-ish of the volume, he tries to do good deeds so he gets his wish fulfilled (and anyone who knows Stitch knows that he wants to be super awesome). I have no clue if he ever managed it or if he gave up entirely, but in the next parts there is no mention of good deeds, so that was a bit confusing. Also the fact we suddenly had Pleakly (urgghhhh terrible character) and Jumba (yayyy!) as characters as well.

There is no real continuous story, instead these are all short stories. Each one featuring an event (like Valentines Day), a new character (Sae), a new adventure (when they had to move the tree). They are all pretty short (duh), all are about 4 to 7 pages. I was a bit surprised that they were all short stories, I was thinking this would just be one story with various chapters. But this was even more fun. It fits better with Stitch and Yuna’s adventures.

I am a bit confused about her moving to Tsuruko and going to a school there. What about the other kids? Will they just stay on the island? Who will teach them then?

I definitely loved the event stories the most. It was fun to see how Stitch was trying to understand what the day was about. Of course in typical Stitch-ness he did things his way. 😛

Yuna was a really great character, she is sweet, kind, and it was really fun to see her live on the island. Her hair is kind of amazing, how it can go to completely flat to sticking up in two pony tails. I want to know her secret. Oh wait, I can just guess. Manga/anime magic hair properties (thinks back to Dragon Ball).

Of course Stitch was being Stitch, I like him tons. He is so sweet and I just love his superpowers. He tries to be good, but often misinterprets something or forgets his strength. But he is always trying to make things right again. No matter how hard it is for him.

The art is pretty great. The style fits perfect with the randomness that is Stitch.

I had a great time reading this. Laughing myself silly over what Stitch did (and how he pulled Yuna into his antics). I hope there will be more Stitch manga!

When you've been trying to finish a very serious book and you haven't read for quite some time now, a kawaii (cute) graphic novel is a good way to take your mind off things. Miho Asada's Disney Manga - Stitch Best Friends Forever! is such an adorable read. It's short, sweet, and entertaining. I found myself smiling and laughing with some of the conversations between Stitch and the other protagonist, Yuna, and even their misadventures.

Stitch is such a fan character that you won't be able to get enough of him. I love how he's still unaccustomed to some of the most mundane things we, humans, do. It triggers his curiosity and he will always find a way to learn or try it. If it leads to disaster, he will damn sure make up for it. What a cutie! It's also nice to see familiar faces like Jumba and Pleakley. It made me miss the movie and the series. You might be wondering where Lilo is. Unfortunately, she's not in the manga. I know it feels like it won't be complete without her but thank God Yuna is there to fill in the gap. She's gentle, she loves the sea, and she is a good friend to Stitch.

Plot wise, I was expecting one whole story but this manga actually holds short stories for the readers to enjoy. You can see how Stitch's character will progress while adjusting in a new world and culture. Plus it can be shared and enjoyed by children and kids' at heart. Overall, it's a nice addition to your growing manga collection or a good starter for first-timers.

Stitch without Lilo? Can it work?

Well, if what you always loved about Lilo and Stich was just Stich, then yes, this can work. This is a cute version of Stitch if he had made friends with a different little girl, and had adventures with her friends and grandmother. All the stories are quick and light, with lessons learned, and teaching moments.

But me, I always loved the Lilo with the stitch, and as nice as Yuna is, the stories go in a different direction, and tell a story that is close to the themes of the original, but just not quite there.

For lovers of manga, this will probably be just fine, as well as those for lovers of just Stich.

Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.

This Disney Manga of Stitch is adorable and stays true to the character. As a fan seeing Stitch with any one besides Lilo is strange but Yuna is just as cute. Their adventures are funny and sweet while sometimes involving a moral in the story. The drawing is adorable and like watching a black and white Stitch cartoon. The contents is appropriate for all ages, my seven year old would love this as much as I do. The book even contains nice reminders of the correct way to read Manga if its your first time. Overall a really cute Manga novel that everyone will love. My voluntary review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

ARC Copy...It felt weird because even though Stitch is there it didn't feel like Disney comic but rather a very true in style anime-manga plus only Stitch, Angel, Jumba and Plekley seem to be the only returning from the movie-tv series. Stitch fans won't be disappoint though...Stitch is very much up to his old antics, of mass chaos and mischief, this time in Okinawa not Hawaii so there is Japanese "culture" lessons in this series. It's Cute though.

Very cute short stories about our favorite alien Stitch who now landed in Japan instead of Hawaii.
There he meets the little girl named Yuna, who shows him the little Japanese Island she lives on.
She tries to teach him being nice and tidy. Not a nice or even easy job to do.

A cute manga to read quickly in between books. But clearly not the original.

I found this in the children's section in the Library! I'm a huge Disney fan and even a huger Lilo & Stitch. I love how we get introduced to Japanese culture, especially the chapter about Mochi! As myself, I was a bit like Stitch in that situation! ❤️❤️😂

Cute diary entries of Stitch’s adventures with Yuna. I loved when it changed to color. It made the art pop so much more. I think I enjoy manga more for the artwork than the story line especially since the stories in these aren’t the best.

In this manga, Stitch lands in Japan instead of Hawaii and becomes friends with a different little girl. I love Lilo, but spunky Yuna is great too. The stories are fast paced and the artwork is cute and easy to follow. Adults might find this too juvenile but it's fun for kids!

This manga was so fun to read! It feels like the kind of thing young children would enjoy reading, epecially since the parts are so short and episodic.
