Sweet story of a little lost girl (who doesn't speak with words) who is taken care of animals she met in the forest she got lost in.
There's a vegetarian bear, a sweet though dumb dig, and a curmudgeonly vulture with a heart of gold. (And a very big mouth with an ego to match!)

All this and it's a webcomic!

Highly recommended.

Meh. Hoy tengo más la sensación de dos estrellas que de tres en realidad. Algunas viñetas eran muy tiernas pero el poso que deja días después es tibio y se me diluyó enseguida.

Little Dee is the story of a lost, largely mute girl named Dee who is taken in and raised by a bear, a dog and a vulture (who are all quite loquacious). Honestly, if that description alone isn't enough to entice you to check it out it might not be your cup of tea, as things just get more absurd from there. :)

Over the four volumes topics range from "quiet" home life moments in their cave to rap battles with an anthropomorphic anarchist librarians, and cover EVERYTHING in between. Obviously some weird tangential stories are better than others, but the strip is largely funny and the responsible Ted (bear), dimwitted Blake (dog) and mean spirited Vachel (vulture) all care about and protect Dee in their own way. Not that she really needs protecting most of the time...

The comic ran six days a week for nearly six years. It mostly follow a "gag-a-day" structure, but a week's (or month's) strips were usually thematically related. I remember the yearly Halloween strips and Vachel's schoolteacher attempts being high points.

Overall Little Dee is a cute, humorous tale that is just as often comically "horrifying" as it is heartwarming, and volume 1 is of course the place to start.

This is an on-line web comic, you just have to read and love. A little girl gets lost in the woods, and is found by a bear and his weird friends. They have adventures, while attempting to find Dee's parents. Dee cannot speak, but the animals do--so all the more fun. www.littledee.net is the link to the daily comic. i bought my copy from the artist,he sells the books himself. Volume 2 is out now as well. Clean fun and Dee is soooooo cute, she make me smile every panel she is in! :)

From my 8-year-old daughter: "I LOVE Little Dee! I wish I can have your second one [I'll get it for her]. I like Vachel and Dee the best."

From me: I very much enjoyed reading this to my daughter. It was so wonderful to hear her laugh out loud so many times.
