Then strange things start happening around the house during the the Littles hear noises and things start to disappear! But there's no time to solve the mystery, because the basement is flooding! The Littles need to get the house under control before everything is ruined.
Abbie said this book was very exciting. She even read aloud to me a passage that described the storm - something about windows rattling, thunder crashing, lightning flashing. How fun to see her delight in the way those words brought a scene to life in her mind. She enjoyed the way the characters dealt with the effects of the storm.
The Biggs are gone and the Littles are taking care of the house during the biggest storm they have ever seen. Only...they're not alone in the house after all...
Spooky and exciting story. I really liked this one. :)
This was another great story in a great series. The storm itself didn't factor as big in the plot as the mystery, whcih was a nice touch. I highly recommend this book and this series.
I've had this book on my shelf as long as I can remember, but I never picked it up until now-which is too bad, because I would have loved this cute, endearing little story when I was five or six.
I liked this book! It was funny when Mr. Bigg said there was nothing wrong with the house, but there was. The Littles fixed everything! The mystery was scary.
We loved reading "The Littles" books at breakfast every morning. We were sad to see them come to an end. What a fun little series to reread and reappreciate with the kids.
