There are 5 pop-ups in this book of curiosities from the world of Harry Potter. They move and some of them are delicate. The interesting this is the book opens in the middle and not from the side. The pages flip down like an upside down legal pad and they pop out at you. The page folds down bringing the scene with it.

There is a sorting hat, Newt’s suitcase, the bank vault scene, the pixie scene from Gilderoy’s class and the Whomping Willow.

It’s a cute quick paper engineered little bit about Harry Potter. Several of the pop-ups seem very intricate to me and you have to be careful not to break them. IT’s a very delicate book. The library copy I got had damage to several pages so I had to open them by hand.

It’s fun to see, but was this book needed - well no, but it’s still fun to see for fans of the series. The previous pop-up book I read was better with more details, but this includes scenes from Newt’s world.

The nephew can sit for almost 30 minutes being still watching them unfold and fold. He tries to figure it out. He loved it. 5 stars for him.

I'm a sucker for anything Harry Potter related, I have a huge collection of books and random other merchandise and I'd been eyeing up this pop up book for ages before I took the plunge and bought a copy. To be honest I was a bit put off by the price tag when I haven't been able to find a copy in a store to actually look at but when Amazon had it on sale at less than half price I snapped it up, I have no willpower to resist a HP bargain LOL.

Pop Up books generally don't have many pages so I wasn't surprised that this only contains five scenes from the HP world. It really won't take you long to actually read this book because there is very little in the way of writing but the pop ups are well designed and some of them are quite intricate. The book opens from the centre, like folding back two doors, and there is elastic to hold it open to the pop up you want to display. The smaller size of this book makes it perfect as a shelf decoration and you can easily switch between the different pages.

I'll include photos of each scene but you'll find the Harry at the sorting ceremony, Newt peering out of his suitcase, the whomping willow when Ron and Harry drove into it, Newt in the vault trying to catch the niffler and the classroom scene with the Cornish Pixies. Avid Harry Potter fans will love this book but I'm glad I waited until the price was cheaper.

This contained 5 lovely pop up dioramas, depicting memorable scenes from the Harry Potter series and Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them.

The only drawback is that it is so short for so much money. I'm definitely going to have to find a way to display one of the Harry Potter scenes on my shelves- guess I'll be rearranging my harry potter shelves again

I'm a sucker for pop-up books. The 5 scenes in this book were done so well, though I'll be honest and admit I was hoping for more than just 2 scenes to be related to Fantastic Beasts!

Regardless, they're very intricate and I feel like a kid, constantly closing and opening them again and again haha.

Not a huge fan of Harry Potter, I haven't even finished the books nor have I watched the movies, but had this one in hand and found it absolutely magnificent. The art is beautiful and the few infos on how the scenes were done were interesting that they might have slightly persuaded me to give the movies a try.

Also, we all know why I read this, the year is coming to an end and I'm nowhere near reaching my usual reading goal. 😣😔

From the wonders of Hogwarts to Newt Scamander’s enchanted case, the wizarding world is full of incredible objects and creatures. This astonishing pop-up volume contains a collection of five scenes that bring magical oddities from the films to life. Join a nervous Harry moments before the Sorting Hat bellows ‘Gryffindor!’ through the Great Hall, relive the adventure of the flying Ford Anglia colliding with the Whomping Willow, and uncover a New York City bank vault with Newt Scamander chasing after an escaped Niffler. Meanwhile, discover a treasure trove of movie secrets that helped make the magic happen.

This can be a really good gift for Harry Potter fans worldwide. I am not a fan myself, but I really appreciate the art and crafts shown in this book. Nicely done.

This is a gift book or something to own personally; it is more of a gimmick than an actual book. It is, itself, a curiosity. The information about each scene presented is a brief explanation of how the scene was achieved for the movie it appeared in. Those who are curious about how the movies were made will find this interesting. Overall, not impressive. The illustrations are neither taken from the original books nor true portrayals from the movies.

The paper art in this book was amazing. 3D designs, that had depth, vibrant color, and action. Scenes from Harry Potter, and Fantastic Beasts were displayed. My only complaint is that, they chose for one scene to just show Newt walking down into his case, instead of taking a beautiful opportunity to show, in 3D detail, some of the things that resided in it. It was a let down, and, in my view, a huge missed opportunity.

Lovely & interesting art book. When you open it, you can feel the same excitement just as you want to open your favourite band's merchandise for the first time.

If you love the Harry Potter wizarding universe then you should love this art book.

The only downside to me personally, the art is too little. Only 5 paper arts in total. Yes I know it is not easy to do this kind of book. But to compare it with the book's price it should be more.

All in all it is a good art book. Because no matter how old you are, there will always be some child feeling inside you that can get excited with this kind of art book 😊

This was very interesting. It shows a couple scenes from the movies and explained a little of how things worked. Would have been nice if there were more pages!

5/5 stars since I'm a potterhead

This book contains a few pop-up illustrations from the harry potter movies. As a potterhead, this book simply becomes a must-have item to decore my shelf with. This beautiful book comes with a magnetic flap on the front and a rubber band inside to keep the pop-up illustrations stay unchanged.
