More adventures with Seki. Sadly, no robot family this time, but instead, we get to see more of Seki's family! Yes, it's gone that far!

Yes, it's more of the same, but IT HASN'T GOTTEN OLD YET. I don't know how Morishige has kept what's essentially a single joke going for 9 volumes so far. It's impressive.

Another great Seki-Kun volume. Seki's puppet is another all-time great bit and there are some fun appeareances from his family in this one.

Reading-wise I would say this was the easiest volume for me, but at the same time there were some specific cultural references that I didn't know that tripped me up. I could still get the punchline from context in the first one, basically Seki seems to know the answer to a long-standing pop culture mystery and won't tell anyone, but the Olympic medals chapter had a lot of traditional culture references that I didn't know and it was the first chapter I've had where a lot of the jokes were lost on me. I looked up a translated version and there were a lot of translator notes on that one, but hey, now I know them for next time, so I still learned something!

Bapaknya Seki muncul!!! Meski cuma di komik tambahan di paling belakang!! Hyaaaaa~~~ sayangnya wajahnya belum dikasih liat

Btw, yang paling bego menurut saya di jilid ini adalah bagian Seki jadi seniman lem kertas!! Sama ngupas kulit kacang tanah, cangkang telur rebus, sampai kulit kastanye pake sumpit!! Dan seperti biasa, hubungan Seki dan Rumi masih bikin geregetaaaaan~~~

Another entertaining and well-varied addition to the series. Rumi interacts more with Seki's family and, especially with the final bonus comic, there is a feeling of a trifecta, as she unknowingly encounters his father after already establishing friendly relations with his mother and younger sister.

Eek, we got to meet more of Seki’s family in this one ! I think it’s funny that obviously he’s told them so much about his “neighbor” in school. I’ve long suspected that half of his games are to entertain her as well and he has more than a bit of a crush on her....even if she’s completely oblivious. 😬🤗

The pair in the back of class are back with their distractions. However, in this volume we see them outside of school more, even with a surprise appearance of Mrs. Seki. Some of Seki's antics were wild in this volume, but I'm curious to see where he goes next.

I'm like crying laughing at how Yokoi is low key already a part of Seki's family. Every scene with them in it is pure gold.

The gag strips set at the classroom desks remain fine, but I really follow this series now for the brief glimpses of Seki's family outside the school, and this volume thankfully has several.

I actually thought the series was over after book 8, so I was beyond thrilled to find out there are at least two more books!

Mucho más interesante que el anterior, pero creo que yo ya me he cansado de la fórmula de este manga, porque ya no me hace gracia.

This was better than some of the earlier volumes, but still repetitious. Nine down and one to go.

The Olympics taking place in this installment as the Olympics are going on in France in real life is cool.
