Tara Stiles was the person who got me into seriously practicing yoga.
She was one of my first, and always favorite, yoga teachers. She’s the person I’d recommend to anyone who who wants to try yoga. Even now, as I have been abandoning the mat for asphalt, I still enjoy hearing her voice in my practice.
“When you’re ready.”
This book is a printed form of that magical voice of hers. Never rushing. Always creating space within. And occasionally challenging my internal editor.
“It’s ninja stuff, really.”
“I hope you feel okay and nothing is too wonky.”
(Who edited this?)
I read the book through a resting period. On one side, it exacerbated my laziness to START moving. On the other, when I managed to get moving, it vibrated in my breath, where it held me steady and open through practice.
“High-level performance of all sorts, mental and physical, is always accomplished with ease.”
